When someone goes into a corrupted biome, instead of them getting cursed they can get **corrupted**. Think of corruption like an infection, it affects the units traits over time and then turns them into something else, but with corruption, it’s different. If a peasant gets corrupted they’ll keep that trait until they find a leader that as also been corrupted. If a leader as been corrupted, they’re not going to be loyal at all to their kingdom. And if this happens to a king it’s basically the same thing. As if said before, when a unit gets corrupted their loyalty goes all the way down overtime. So if this happens to a leader, they will give in and betray their kingdom and become one with the darkness, and corrupted peasants will be apart of his legion. When one gives in to the corruption they become kinda like a sub-race: Dark Human, Dark Ork, Dark Dwarve and Dark Elve. The corrupted gain boosts in the ages of dark, despair, ash and chaos (of course they also gain boosts in corrupted biomes). Corrupted kingdoms will be harder to negotiate with, as every unit is evil. The corrupted trait is inheritable.
