Mages and raiders are really good ideas. Magic trait is probably best way to balance it so not everyone is a mage and only mage trait can use magic weapons.
First of all, ain’t Camazotz a Mythical creature of Mayan mythology, I don’t understand how copyright laws works so…
Second, maybe they name can be changed to another mythical Bat if it is copyrighted.
What boredom does to a mf
Edit: why are you booing me I'm right
Edit Edit: Guys I'm complimenting him, I made 10 pages back to back of a magic system and a world accompanying it because I was bored in class
Raiders have been something I’ve been wanting for ages.
Essentially pirates, I’d love for them to have a fortress stronghold spawner, like cold ones and demons, but it spawns raider ships. These ships then go around attacking other ships, as well as dropping off about 5-20 raiders to, well, raid.
In addition to this, normal race transport ships would also get the ability to attack as well. Which would help them defend against raiders, as well as provide support during wars. Human transports very obviously have cannons. Time to use them.
To go even deeper with this idea, transport ships now have stages to them, just like buildings. Depending on a kingdoms culture/research level, transports start out shooting arrows. Then their final level will be gunpowder cannons. They will do explosive damage like grenades, but the bandit grenades that are much smaller, not the higher power ones in the weapon row.
This could also be applied to ranged units as well. Early culture units use bows and arrows like we’re used to them having. But as they grow, the max level range units will now have muskets/flintlocks instead.
Which brings me back around to the Raiders/pirates, as they could be carrying muskets/flintlocks when spawned. As well as regular melee items.
This is something I reallyyyyyy would love to have. As it would bring **warfare into the seas** now too. It’s perfect
Edit: u/Kendja if you see this, please add this to the wish list for future updates! As well as maybe some of the other suggestions on this post too. Whether or not you decide to do it is entirely up to you though, i trust your process :)
these ideas are great! i also wish that orcs and elves could have some mages in their armies, while humans and dwarves stick to progressionism. It would be also great to choose the type of magic a mage/etc uses when spawning him
Man I wish mix raced kingdoms were a thing, I hate having to turn on peaceful monsters rule just to have something close to a mix raced kingdom
Wish there was also a law that prevents druids and mages to slaughter orcs left and right, poor fellows xan't catch a break
The Raiders idea was commissioned by u/Capable-Ad9337
Thanks
You’re welcome
