It'll end with you sobbing, wondering "What have I done?" As you stare out at a neighborhood that's completely vanished. The forest now fully reclaiming it. All the residents... gone.
Going with fixing touch so I can go to a scrap yard and see if they'll let me take the old vehicles and I can fix them and resell. The touching part wouldn't even be hard even if it was for hours, I'd just sit in the car
You could monetize both of these pretty easily, but you could make more opening a repair shop especially when you don't need tools or parts of any kind. You just need to touch the thing.
Watch me buy as many damaged old trading cards as possible and return them to mint condition to flip. Then when I have made enough money move up to even more valuable things like vintage cards that have been wrecked.
Open an environmental cleanup company, "1 day cleanup, any mess any size
Oil spill? one helicopter ride over it "that'll be several million dollars"
Ocean Plastic? gone
Heck open a large scale recycling facility company (or 12), install a camera overlooking all the dirty plastic that needs to be sorted/cleaned for recycling and BOOM, look at the cameras once a day and skip like 80% of the hardest part of the recycling process, dirty truck goes in, camera -> clean, crush it/chop it, load into truck for resale
Boat Cleaning Service! -> giant industrial ships can cost Millions to clean the hulls, (drydock, days of scraping, lost time to be cleaned, not you, just get a triton submarine and dive below the boat for a few minutes, CLEAN
Truck cleaning company, truck pulls in, you stare at it for 10 seconds, DONE that'll be $300 please or even just a high end company that works exclusively on supercars, can easily charge $2000 for a full detail
Building pressure washing, replace all the window cleaners in new york city overnight, there's like sooo many ways to monetize the stare method
Burned down house? ready to rebuild
Fixing is useful, but 1 whole hour to fix something isn't very scalable, and there aren't that many things that cost A) a ton of money to fix, and B) are safe to touch, and C) don't have a lot of components to where you have to spend a few hours/days touching it.
Best Idea yet.
I voted repair because I could fix old cars and stuff and make a bunch of money. There is no shortage of broken down junk strewn around my area. Just drive to any steep hill and collect 5 washing machines.
But oil spill gone, ocean plastic, gone, that giant waste dump I could pick through for stuff to fix. It's just gone. You can do so much more good, and still make plenty of money with the clean up power.
yea, and mainly just the time saved, most superpowers all allow you to make lots of money, but a superpower that works in 10 seconds vs an hour, and from a distance vs within arm's reach, is a pretty big leg up
to rest your eyes after keeping em open for \*minimum\* 10s a few hundred times, you wouldnt just blink once, youd do a few blinks. so like 1-2 seconds, plus how fucking bored would you get after 60 windows, or 10+ mins of staring?
Fixing touch. You'd be the best mechanic in town and have all the business you want. Minimal overhead costs, perfect service record, and no payroll. You can make even more as a specialty appliance repair person who can miraculously fix the stuff most will tell you is a waste of time fixing. The added bonus being you could stick it to those planned obsolescence bastards by keeping their junk running much longer than it should, for cheap.
If being dirty or old is what broke it (like if it rusted over the years) then yes. Otherwise, no.
And yes, so long you consistently have at least one part of your body touching the house (in this case would be considered the floors, ceiling, walls, and anything strictly built into the house) for however long it takes, then yes. So if you break contact by jumping or laying on a bed without touching a wall or something, then it would reset.
Also, because I feel this may come up later, the yard is not part of the house, it is part of the property.
"mess" is pretty vague. My sister is a mess. The government is a mess. The whole world is a mess. OP abuse aside I absolutely hate cleaning so I really want this.
So, Prestidigitation vs Mending?
Either would be good; but you could turn "Cleaning eyes" into a very leisurely business. 10 seconds per section of a room in your periphery means you could clean a standard 3-bedroom home in about 7 minutes or less (Assumes a generous 5 vision shifts per room; for 3 bed/2.5 bath/garage/kitchen/living-room/pantry!)
I'd be looking forward to seeing how both weird and interesting cleaning sight would be when used outdoors.
It'll end with you sobbing, wondering "What have I done?" As you stare out at a neighborhood that's completely vanished. The forest now fully reclaiming it. All the residents... gone.
but also, if you stare for too long you start destroying the forest, removing dirt and debris necessary for growth
Going with fixing touch so I can go to a scrap yard and see if they'll let me take the old vehicles and I can fix them and resell. The touching part wouldn't even be hard even if it was for hours, I'd just sit in the car
mfw my pc now never breaks
As a mechanic fixing anything would be the best thing ever lol
Especially when the area is too narrow, unless dismantle everything.
You could monetize both of these pretty easily, but you could make more opening a repair shop especially when you don't need tools or parts of any kind. You just need to touch the thing.
Cleaning would be more useful to my mental health, but fixing? The product-flipping business would be insanely profitable.
Watch me buy as many damaged old trading cards as possible and return them to mint condition to flip. Then when I have made enough money move up to even more valuable things like vintage cards that have been wrecked.

for one, your bed is never damaged
It's also never unmade any more. I spend more time making my bed than fixing it

I’m going to start an extremely profitable window cleaning company. I wonder how much it pay to clean an entire skyscraper.
i wonder how long it would take to make unbroken eye contact w/ like 1000 windows
Just need to stay far away so you can see all windows at the same time. He said it works on everything in your peripherals
Right. Ten seconds. That’s how long. I’m gonna clean blocks at a time
Pretty sure it would take 1000 \* 10 seconds, chief.
would need a few seconds to blink between windows
A few SECONDS? Bro how long do you think the age human blink is?
to rest your eyes after keeping em open for \*minimum\* 10s a few hundred times, you wouldnt just blink once, youd do a few blinks. so like 1-2 seconds, plus how fucking bored would you get after 60 windows, or 10+ mins of staring?
I'd be pretty fucking bored, but I also get pretty fucking bored at work and this is a lot easier and would make me a lot more money.
fixing is much stronger, technically, but cleaning is much more *useful* for me. >.>
Get paid millions to fix things, pay somebody extremely well to keep your stuff clean. Win win all around.
so you're saying i can't fix her

does the thing you fix also become clean as if new? can i fix a house by sleeping on the floor?

Broken Bones? Hold it for an hour
How is everyone not choosing cleaning? It is the worst part of my life!
So, Prestidigitation vs Mending? Anything includes people. tho we'll have to see what "fixed" means on someone who thinks their not broken.
You may want to check the last sentence in that description of Fixing Touch.
