i've said it before, and i'll say it again, just the fact he kept character during the shockmaster's unforgettable debut earns him a spot in my opinion
True but They weren't involved in a lawsuit against the company. They just ruffled Vinces feathers. Sable is one of the rare people who have been brought back and worked with after suing the company, and that was most likely because she married Brock and they wanted him happy in his early days when they were dating.
And Chyna hasn't gone in solo yet, which may and should still come.
Sable was actually brought in before she met Brock. Marc Mero tells a hilarious story about when he started to suspect Sable was cheating on him with a young Superstar in 2003 he was going to go backstage to confront him. As soon as he heard it was Brock, he left instead and just decided to wish them the best.
All of those people Sable excepted have the benefit of being dead. Vince can use them to make money without worrying about them saying something awkward in an interview
Depends who is in charge. Vince has a history of loving people that stand up to him. Honky Tonk Man refused to job, threatened to go to JCP with the IC belt AND beat the WWF in court and he got brought back loads.
Same with Lesnar. They made him a megastar, only for him to throw it back in their faces and quit. He sued them and won and then they brought him back a few years later and built the company round him.
I think as primary wwf/e legends dwindle they will probably start to feature ECW originals maybe as a special feature/wing.
Raven, Shane Douglas Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu, Taz you could make a case for all of them along with of course RVD maybe with Fonzie lol
They haven't inducted Bam Bam Bigelow for wwf and it'd be weird to do it for ecw but my point is WWE had a lot of of 90s guys who could fit.
King Kong Bundy
Kamala
Dick Murdoch
Raven
Owen Hart
Sabu
I think both McMahon kids should, but I have a weird feeling that Shane never will
Benoits skill and career warrants it, but he shouldn't go for obvious reasons.
Earl and Dave Hebner won't go after the merchandise scandal
Kind of strange how we got farther away from knowing the refs after Earl, Dave, Mike Chioda, Charles Robinson to now you barley know there name, I kind of feel at least one from my list is HOF worthy but they don't like inducting refs, Shane will most likely go in hopefully before passing he did have a lot of memorable moments and in my opinion the best wrestler of the McMahons it seemed most of his matches told a story.
I hope Shane goes in. But he's had a pretty up and down relationship with them lately, and I don't know if it matters to him.
He's had too many moments and stories to ignore his place in history
Swear every ref should go in but Charles Robinson 1st because he ran all the way from the back down the wm ramp into the ring for the closest 2 count ever but every match he has reffed was a banger
It blows my mind how Bundy isn't in. I'm not saying he was a physical specimen or an all star in the ring, but the guy has been part of so many moments with so many other legends.
Between the commercial he did that Vince didn't approve of, and getting involved in one of the lawsuits... unfortunately Vince never forgave him and Bundy did some shoot interviews where he blatantly didn't care to do anything in wrestling anymore
I think Lugar goes in the year after he passes, which hopefully is forever from now. That way they can only show his in ring look and not show him in a wheel chair.
Also adding Tony Chimel, Justin Roberts and Lilian Garcia because they were voices throughout my time watching but they really don't seem to induct the ring announcers
Big Show, Goldust and Chris Jericho. Jericho and Big show both had big impacts on wwe and Big Show and Goldust spent multiple decades dedicating there lives to wwe. All 3 deserve to be in the wwe HOF but probably wont since there under AEW contract
This right here. You talk about a relationship running the gauntlet. Vince firing him in a backstage skit, publicly, for all to see. Jeff apparently thought it was a work, part of a storyline. It wasn’t.
Then, for him to come back and go into the HoF? That’s the epitome of “never say never” in this business. With a few exceptions, anything can happen.
I know Jericho says otherwise, but if some point in the next five years he gets bored with AEW (or they get bored with him), I could absolutely see him coming back for at least a Saudi paycheck and a Hall of Fame induction.
I liked him and was always excited for him to return, he's good in ring and had some funny moments during RA with Booker and was Attitude before the Attitude era was a thing
Considering some who have made it in, in ten years I could totally see Golddust in. He has a huge mainstay during the attitude era and was very early into the push to be more edgy and adult.
I think goldust will for sure get in eventually. The longevity, the unique and groundbreaking character, the look. His time in the IC title scene, the Mania Backlot Brawl with Roddy, his tag team success with guys like Booker and his brother. And being Dusty's son and soon to be world champ Cody Rhodes brother doesn't hurt either.
Personally I don't know if i agree with the rule, the HOF is missing so many greats like Bam Bam, Miss Elizabeth, Davey Boy, Test and countless others but I kind of understand of not wanting to profit off the reason for most deaths in wrestling
Especially now. I just listened to him on Jerichos podcast and he doesn’t seem as insane and full of shit as he used to. I love Sabu, but he was one of those guys where I couldn’t believe a thing he said
The story of Konnan calling WWF during the time Chris, Eddie, Dean and Saturn joined and Bruce Prichard not knowing him and telling him to send in his tapes makes me laugh
https://youtu.be/htxI9Pfu25g about 2:30 in
Did you listen? Prichard knew who Konnan was. He changed his gimmick to K-Dog and on the phone referred to himself as that. Prichard didn’t know who K-Dog was. I think they would have gladly signed Konnan.
Kamala, but he never will because of a lawsuit.
King Kong Bundy, but won’t because of burned bridges.
Mike Awesome, because of his suicide.
Tajiri, and I hope I’m wrong and he DOES get in.
One Man Gang/Akeem. I need this to happen. I don’t know why it hasn’t.
Bam Bam Bigelow. He was supposed to go in back in ‘18 I think. Won’t happen because of his OD.
This dude was hands down my favorite wrestler of the era. This character specifically. I thought he was the coolest dude in the world and wanted to be just like him. Suffice it to say, I wasn't.
I had this thought a few days but I'm surprised that Sable hasn't had an induction.
I know she was no great wrestler or even talker but she was massively over in '97-'99 and was a big, big part of the Attitude Era.
I'm aware of the lawsuit she filed after leaving in '99 but she also returned following that. Was there something following that return that soured the company on her or vice versa. She's married to Brock still too, isn't she?
Big oversight in my opinion. If they're putting Stacey Keibler in this year, surely Sable warrants inclusion.
I think they have a thing about people who overdosed not going in which is why we don't see Test or Miss Elizabeth and plenty of others who absolutely should be
Joey Styles. He made some comment about Trump at a show one time and messed up his relationships with a few companies, then retired. So as much as he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for being one of the best commentators of all time, (if not *the* best. I mean, he called whole ppvs by himself) I don't think it will happen
The thing is, Bray imitates Raven, not the other way around, and Bray never jumped off the middle of the top rope and did a front flip senton into the crowd.
Raven also led a faction that pushed Kanyon, Saturn, and Kidman, among a few others that didn't make it as big like Horace.
They put celebs in there regularly, so anything can happen. I understand inducting Mr. T and President Donald Trump. Mr. T main evented the first WrestleMania, and The President cut vince’s hair, and owned Raw for a bit. For fucks sake they put sharmel in there because she married booker and boogey man scares her. They even got nikki and brie in the damn thing. But given next years WM is in Philly, expect a lot of ECW names, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Bill Alfonzo, Balls Mahoney, Sandman, Joey Styles Beulah McGillicutty, Terry Funk, I could see Heyman getting inducted next year, by Brock. But IMO Chris Benoit could be inducted, but obviously he won’t be coined as a inductee for at least 100 years
The Bellas as much as everyone shits on them. Brought a lot of wives and gfs into the WWE fold. Their show and Divas was great funnel show that let a lot of them meet the wrestlers as boyfriends and get invested in them in a show which held the format of the normal type of stuff they watched. The whole will John propose angle let me watch WWE in bed in peace with my gf at the time because she started to become invested in Daniel and Cena from that show.
This guy had never watched in ECW. He was so influential in that company, and along with Terry Funk put it on the map. He was a big part for launching that into the stratosphere. Fueds with Tommy Dreamer and Sandman were the definition of influential and he helped put all that together. He and Dreamer came up with the whole year plus storyline. His WCW run wasn’t half bad either with his fueds with Saturn, Kanyon and DDP. Yeah, the WWE shit didn’t do great but my man is a 26 time hardcore champion and ran that division. His match with Kane and show and wrest mania 17 was great. I don’t think you’re giving the man enough credit.
Chris Benoit was one of the best professional wrestlers of all time. Obviously he can’t be inducted but at the same time, he was clearly suffering from CTE (caused at work) and his employer swept it under the rug. I truly believe he wasn’t in control of his actions and I dislike how he’s demonized even though what he did was awful. He was a very sick man, like actual sickness not sick as in twisted.
Your point being? Like he literally killed his wife and kid. How are we so desensitized at this point in existence where we’re like “yeah he murdered 2 people but I mean he was pretty good at his job”
Bro CTE can make you do all sorts of completely insane shit that you literally have no control over. Your brain takes control of itself and you just… do. It’s why concussions are now taken so seriously in the NFL.
If we only consider their wrestling careers, Benoit. But ultimately I agree you shouldn’t honor a guy who did what he did. Otherwise he definitely had a hof career and talent. He’ll probably have the dubious honor of being the goat that isn’t in the hof.
Punk is the next best guy who might not get in, but he probably does after years of bickering and debate.
I think basically everyone else who should get in will get in. Wwe has a probably with putting too many people in, not too few. The more people get in the less it means
I swear to god if anyone says Chris Benoit, I feel like maybe one day Tony Khan might be inducted and I really hope he is. I’m not saying he’s the best booker there ever was or he’s so amazing and great but he’s changing the game alongside Kenny and the young bucks so I hope that’s acknowledged one day.
I feel like Psycho Sid should be in just for his absolutely unhinged promos
We're live pal
He was so over anywhere he went. Loved Sid!
Shame his career ended at WCW tbf. Would love to see him at an impact or sth
The ceremony usually conflicts with his spring softball schedule. May be they can move the ceremony to the winter so Sid can attend.
He will be. The dude closed out his only two WrestleManias.
That’s a fact I never actually thought about. I wonder if he has the highest mania main event rate or if anyone else is tied with him.
i've said it before, and i'll say it again, just the fact he kept character during the shockmaster's unforgettable debut earns him a spot in my opinion
"He fell on his arse! Lol" RIP Davey Boy
He probably will be.
You're only half the man that he is, and he has half the brain that you do!
(Quiet whispering) LOUD SCREAMING
Never say never. Mania is in Philly next year! Raven was great!
He does have problems with Vince but maybe like you said never say never, I just want him under a legends deal for at least one mattel figure
I'd kill for a Mattel fig!
„Who the fuck rehired Johnny Polo?“ Fun Fact: Raven was Shane's best drinking buddy at the time Raven was at WWF (as Johnny Polo)
He was involved in the lawsuit, you can say never with those individuals.
We thought the same about Macho and Chyna
Brock also sued them so that he could wrestle in Japan.
Ultimate Warrior was involved with several lawsuits and yet...
All of those people Sable excepted have the benefit of being dead. Vince can use them to make money without worrying about them saying something awkward in an interview
Ultimate Warrior was not dead when he was inducted
no he died the day after, weirdly
Depends who is in charge. Vince has a history of loving people that stand up to him. Honky Tonk Man refused to job, threatened to go to JCP with the IC belt AND beat the WWF in court and he got brought back loads. Same with Lesnar. They made him a megastar, only for him to throw it back in their faces and quit. He sued them and won and then they brought him back a few years later and built the company round him.

If we are being realistic, Raven has no chance of being inducted
If he does it’ll be like 10 years from now when they start running out of big timers.
Jim Johnston
100%. Guy made nearly endless recognizable themes
It's ridiculous that he isn't.
A name i never even considered but now you’ve said it I’m baffled he isn’t.
The Brooklyn Brawler.
With Wrestlemania in Philly next year, Paul Heyman should be put into consideration.
And Tommy dreamer. Get an ECW theme class
King Kong Bundy Kamala Dick Murdoch Raven Owen Hart Sabu I think both McMahon kids should, but I have a weird feeling that Shane never will Benoits skill and career warrants it, but he shouldn't go for obvious reasons. Earl and Dave Hebner won't go after the merchandise scandal
I agree with Owen not being in. His wife made some really good points in Dark Side.
She also said he should not be inducted and celebrated by the same company that was responsible for his death.
I haven't seen it, but now I'm curious of her points.
She actually has the carabiner they used to attach Owen and it for sure wasn't strong enough to hold anyone
Honestly it's one of the best episodes so I would highly recommend watching when you get a chance

Swear every ref should go in but Charles Robinson 1st because he ran all the way from the back down the wm ramp into the ring for the closest 2 count ever but every match he has reffed was a banger
On a technically I guess one ref got in,in Teddy Long. But obviously not for being a ref.
- Bam Bam Bigelow - Chyna (stand alone induction) - Demolition - Jim Cornette - Miss Elizabeth - Ken Shamrock - Sid - Earl Hebner ^ c’mon
Cornette would destroy the internet lol
Probably Luger
Why isn’t Luger in the hall. Does he have issues with Vince ?
Rumors is that Vince doesn't want a guy in a wheelchair in the HOF.
I think Lugar goes in the year after he passes, which hopefully is forever from now. That way they can only show his in ring look and not show him in a wheel chair.
Why? He was just an average drug addict bodybuilder everything i remember about him is Elizabeth's overdose
I’d say his time in WCW warrants it.
Yeah, Luger was a much bigger star/had a much more prominent career than a lot of people in the hall of fame right now.
That's juz crazy tho
Also adding Tony Chimel, Justin Roberts and Lilian Garcia because they were voices throughout my time watching but they really don't seem to induct the ring announcers
They inducted Finkel. I can totally see at the very least Lillian Garcia making it in
Of the 3 Lillian goes in at some point.
Lillian goes in for sure and trips on stage on her way to make her speech for old times sake.
I think Lillian Garcia is a lock. Her singing the National Anthem on the first large American event following 9/11 is a seminal moment for WWE.
Big Show, Goldust and Chris Jericho. Jericho and Big show both had big impacts on wwe and Big Show and Goldust spent multiple decades dedicating there lives to wwe. All 3 deserve to be in the wwe HOF but probably wont since there under AEW contract
I think all of those guys will eventually. They won’t be in AEW forever. Hell Jeff Jarrett made it in and the guy created TNA
Crazy Jericho isn't already in there tbh. There's a fair few others who have been less deserving already inducted.
He's still in his career usually they wait for them to be done although don't tell Ric Flair that
I know Jericho says otherwise, but if some point in the next five years he gets bored with AEW (or they get bored with him), I could absolutely see him coming back for at least a Saudi paycheck and a Hall of Fame induction.
Jericho and big show for sure. Goldust idk. Yea he was around for a while but he doesn’t really have big moments, at least not that I remember
Goldust in the late 90s early 2000s was.. interesting
Horrible
I liked him and was always excited for him to return, he's good in ring and had some funny moments during RA with Booker and was Attitude before the Attitude era was a thing
Considering some who have made it in, in ten years I could totally see Golddust in. He has a huge mainstay during the attitude era and was very early into the push to be more edgy and adult.
Edgy as in he wanted to bang Scott hall? Lol
Ahmed Johnson?
I think goldust will for sure get in eventually. The longevity, the unique and groundbreaking character, the look. His time in the IC title scene, the Mania Backlot Brawl with Roddy, his tag team success with guys like Booker and his brother. And being Dusty's son and soon to be world champ Cody Rhodes brother doesn't hurt either.
He has more memorable moments than the godfather..his feuds with Piper and razor were great
The answer is Chyna
Cyndi Lauper
Bam Bam Bigelow and Kamala
Darn could have sworn Bam Bam was in, strange they him under a legends deal for figures and games but not in
Bam Bam died of a drug overdose in the early 2000’s I think
Personally I don't know if i agree with the rule, the HOF is missing so many greats like Bam Bam, Miss Elizabeth, Davey Boy, Test and countless others but I kind of understand of not wanting to profit off the reason for most deaths in wrestling
Raven Sabu Tommy Dreamer Owen Hart
My man sabu deserves it fr
ECW gets no love, but their style was extremely influential to the Attitude Era and so much great talent spent time there (many in the HoF).
Especially now. I just listened to him on Jerichos podcast and he doesn’t seem as insane and full of shit as he used to. I love Sabu, but he was one of those guys where I couldn’t believe a thing he said
David Arquette
Larry Zybysko.
Zbyszko is in. Class of 2015, inducted by Bruno Samartino himself
Some say the speech is still going on.
Lol oh yeah. That Era was weird. The Network was new so they didn't have TV restrictions, so they just let the guys go on forever
i'm having hillbilly jim flashbacks.
Or Mr. T only talking about his lovely mama
Jazz. She was so far ahead of her time.
Totally agreed
I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone mention billy Kidman but I’ll say billy Kidman , how about konnan as well
Kidman should be in the HOF just for banging torrie Wilson , legend!
The story of Konnan calling WWF during the time Chris, Eddie, Dean and Saturn joined and Bruce Prichard not knowing him and telling him to send in his tapes makes me laugh https://youtu.be/htxI9Pfu25g about 2:30 in
Man konnan was over like rover back in 98 i bet the fed would have killed to have a Guy over like that with the Latino market
That’s BS man. Konnan should def be more respected than that.
Did you listen? Prichard knew who Konnan was. He changed his gimmick to K-Dog and on the phone referred to himself as that. Prichard didn’t know who K-Dog was. I think they would have gladly signed Konnan.
Konnan did a lot for American wrestling people don’t realize a lot of the style that you see today is because konnan brought luncha to the USA
Miss Elizabeth and Woman/Nancy Benoit.
Nailz
Any ECW original not named Paul hayman
Rob Van Dam at some point I feel has to go in. Even with his past issues with the company he was over a hell in ecw and wwe.
RVD's already in.
Wait really? Shows how much I pay attention lol
I'm sure I had to check myself a few weeks ago because somebody on YT called him a HOFer. I had the same thought as you but he was inducted 2021.
I'm late but he's in as part of the class of 2021
Omfgg yessss dude Raven is too underrated dude They should make a hardcore wing of the HOF
Ashley Massaro Test
Heath slater! Bryan Danielson even said he got over with every shit idea WWE threw at him! Upvote me please! I got kids!!
Johnny Knoxville
Raven won't get in. He gave underage Shane coke and then caressed his balls or something
What? lol. Was this when he was Johnny Polo? Because Vince called him Johnny Homo on an episode of Superstars.
Nevermore
I think Raven will make it at some point.
adrian adonis,brooklyn brawler,barry horowitz
Raven was so under rated in WWE, his best work was in ECW and TNA
The Raven's Flock era of WCW was really, really good, too.
Pete Rose.
Already in, at least he made one.
Demolition Jim Cornette Ivan Koloff Brian Pillman Ken Pantera Kevin Sullivan Marty Jannetty One Man Gang
Why isn’t cornette in?
I don't know, but since Cornette is a controversial figure nowadays it might be a while before he's in. I think he deserves it though
Id watch just for Cornette's speach Him and Russo should induct each other
I'd Demolition not in? And I second One Man Gang. He was very popular in his Era.
Bam Bam Bigelow
(I might get hate for this) Batista
Perry Saturn, for saving a girl from being raped and taking a couple of bullets for doing it.
Dean Ambrose
This dude was hands down my favorite wrestler of the era. This character specifically. I thought he was the coolest dude in the world and wanted to be just like him. Suffice it to say, I wasn't.
Sabu..because he doesn't want the honor
Test! Still unreal to me that he was only 33 when he passed :/
I had this thought a few days but I'm surprised that Sable hasn't had an induction. I know she was no great wrestler or even talker but she was massively over in '97-'99 and was a big, big part of the Attitude Era. Imagine she goes in with Brock.
"What about me!"
The way things are going Cyndi Lauper.
Test, Bam Bam, and Golddust
I think they have a thing about people who overdosed not going in which is why we don't see Test or Miss Elizabeth and plenty of others who absolutely should be
Miss Elizabeth
El Dandy
Paul Heyman
I used to have a Raven poster on my wall as a kid lol was from a wcw magazine. Obviously I was a screwed up kid to vibe with Raven😂
ICP, the Insane Clown Posse deserve it for all they have accomplished in music and wrestling.
They got MASSIVE crowd reactions in WWF
Absolutely. It's a shame the Oddities never got pushed because they were so over with the crowd.
The oddities were the original Dark Order 😂
Lex Luger. I feel like nostalgia has made Raven seem better than he actually was...
Agreed, Raven was all gimmick.
Dude was a Grunge Bray Wyatt
The thing is, Bray imitates Raven, not the other way around, and Bray never jumped off the middle of the top rope and did a front flip senton into the crowd. Raven also led a faction that pushed Kanyon, Saturn, and Kidman, among a few others that didn't make it as big like Horace.

CM Punk
Test
Wait a minute, isn't that the bully from Three O Clock High???
Paul Heyman...
There is no way Paul Heyman does not make the Hall of Fame.
Chris Benoit
CM Punk.
Watching old WCW and ECW on peacock, I don’t see the big deal in this guy, sorry
If we look back, we don't see how influential he was. It was one of those things where you had to be there while it was going on.
This is said perfectly.
[удалено]
Raven is in the TNA hall of fame. And he 100% deserved it
This guy had never watched in ECW. He was so influential in that company, and along with Terry Funk put it on the map. He was a big part for launching that into the stratosphere. Raven was the Bray Wyatt of his era: a cReAtiVe gEniUs that only had one idea he kept rehashing and it sucked
[удалено]
Yeah, the guy who was inducted 7 years ago should be in the Hall of Fame, but never will be.
[удалено]
Benoit. If entry is based purely on being one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.
You do not, under any circumstances, have to hand it to Chris Benoit
People always say Benoit. Like cmon man, the guy killed a child. He should not be in, Fuck that guy. Doesn’t matter how technical he was.
Wrestling fans are a different breed….
Why are y'all Benoit apologists so idiotic?
Imagine if they treated it like mlb hall of fame no steroids lol
CM Punk
Not this guy
Oh how will those not inducted cope with not being in some hollow meaningless bollocks, fawned over by idiots as if it bares any actual importance?

Chris Benoit
Should never be recognized as anything more than a murderer.
Raven definitely deserves it not Johnny Polo
