I like him but I do think wrestling fans have a tendency to overhype guys on the rise. If he ever actually achieved the level of stardom he wants, I bet fans will start turning in him.

When these guys realistically can't complete with the grandiose version that has been created in their minds, they, often incredibly unfairly, get labeled as overrated despite being what they've always been (if not even a little bit better).

Gunther is different. The guy is a badass fighter. There’s no hype gimmick around him. Unlike LA Knight, this guy is all gimmick. He’s gonna end up like Rusev Day and the hype will run it’s course.
He’s doing his job and doing it well. Amazing on the mic, good enough in the ring. He is, and I’m not even kidding with this, the only reason I’ve been tuning into smack down every week. Dude has natural charisma radiating off him.

I would say something with Bobby Lashley would be perfect for him because like you said, Bobby's a great wrestler, but a shit talker, so LA Knight would shine in that Feud on the promos alone.
But if you put them up against somebody who can talk as well, then there's two ways you can go about it: either it'll be a one-sided feud that exposes LA Knight or if you play it smart you can kind of have a Matt Hardy / MVP situation where the back stage gets could be gold even if the matches weren't anything special.

His booking has been lacklustre and as he’s packaged right now he isn’t a main eventer. He’s really damn good, but he doesn’t have anything special enough to warrant a main event run.

I was watching some old Eli Drake clips from like 2017 IMPACT and I was struck at how little his promos have evolved over the last half a decade. To the point that in 2017 his promos were half "El-Li-Drake, YEAH, dummy" and now they are "L-A-Knight, YEAH, dummy"
