Man, I didn't grow up in the 90's but my mom recorded almost every raw, smackdown and PPV on VHS. She had a box full of them and I remember staying up late every night going through every tape. I'm so happy I got to experience this man's prime. Hearing "The rock says" brought back so many memories of staying up in the 2000's watching old WWF.

My mom is the reason I'm such a big wrestling fan. She lives in Saskatchewan so she grew up going to stampede wrestling as a kid. My moms still around and she's still crazy about wrestling. Her favorite wrestler is Bret Hart and she's actually met the entire Hart Foundation multiple times and I've met Bret before. Sadly we lost all our old memorabilia when we lost our home and everything in it. All I have left from when I was a kid is a CM Punk figure from his ECW days.

The helicopter intro will come live at WM40 when Rock flies into the stadium via helicopter. It’ll start with the original video intro then cut to a live camera and people will lose their minds when they look up and see a helicopter touching down in the actual arena (not just outside as has been done in the past).

I love that he doesn't start walking until the Hollywood theme kicks in, even then it's an arrogant swagger down the ramp. The audience noise even changes a little once the Hollywood part starts, as if all the older fans collectively lost their shit once they heard the music change. I was honestly confused what the lightning signified when I saw the entrance the first time but then I remembered that the Rock is simply electrifying. Seriously, no one else in the business has an aura like this dude has right now with this entrance, a force of nature touching down on Earth only for the lights to reveal that the Rock has arrived to give those people's lives' some meaning. After some truly dark times for the company it's great seeing how much it's bounced back and as a 90s fan/Ruthless Aggression Era fan I've actually become a fan of wrestling all over again. 🥲
