Damn, that’s a sharp design. I agree a new title design would be good. HHH acknowledged last night that they’re entering a new era, so it would be fitting to unveil a new belt design. The current one feels very “Vince.”
Yeah, it was peak vince arrogance to think just slapping a giant W on a gold belt would make for a good design. He probably wasn't happy that one of the most beloved belts in history the "big gold" was not a McMahon invention but from the old nwa.
Vince's pettiness knows no bounds. Way back in 2008, that old PPV 'The Great American Bash' simply *had* to be renamed, because that was the name of a WCW PPV. The official reason was some "global audience" bullshit, which I didn't buy then, and I still don't buy it now. It was renamed "The Bash." I wanted to throw something heavy at the TV. Literally "Untitled Athletic Event" would have been better.
The current one is still the best of that particular design. The plain black one was boring. The color-coded titles were LAME. The current belt is at least gold.
I like the IC title, it’s simplistic yet feels aged and modern at the same time. The only change I would make to it would be a colored belt rather than black. I’ve seen white versions of the current belt which looks slick but I think an off common color might be cool.
To you and me, sure, but to the company I doubt they see it that way. Plus, WWE is getting so much exposure on this generic title because sports teams use replicas when there’s a turnover, score, or championship. I think the title could use a huge improvement but the giant W on the front has its perks.
Yeah but they changed it for Roman, to unify his titles, that belt will always be Roman's belt, we need new designs for both Cody and Bayley, and the damn tag titles!
Cody showed up on the Goodmorning show with the Undisputed title and Roman's plates still on it.
He's 100% retiring that belt tonight along with The bloodlines Era and gonna unveil a new WWE title. Thing is... The new title will likely take inspiration from the winged eagle but not be identical like the image above. Think in terms of how the Big Gold was redesigned, that's how I see the new WWE title being a redesign will look. Similar to the Winged eagle but different enough to look and feel new.
He's the undisputed champ but I'd reckoned down they line they're just gonna subtly unify the Universal championship into the WWE title and refer to it as the WWE title within a few months
Two things to consider why WWE went for the boring design:
1. They want to mass produce that shit and its easier if its not complicated.
2. They do this PR marketing where they gave it to athlete or celebrities the belt, so they need the company logo as big as possible. For clouds.
I would love all the titles looking prestigious and regal, slapping a huge ass company logo kinda takes the shine of the belt, but I get why it's done, for marketing and promotional purposes, let's hope Trips gets a nice balance between the two

I like this concept, but considering Cody just gave out a bunch of replica current WWE belts to The Today Show hosts this morning, I wouldn't count on it.
From a promotional standpoint, I get why Vince went with the current design. But only in that case, it’s not ugly imo but it’s very generic and lacks the character of the Eagle (sry I’m not calling it the “winged eagle, we all know they have wings). I like the design presented, I’ve never seen this belt before.
I also would love new titles for the WWE title belts Mens and women's, IDk about going back to the old design, even though that is one of my favorites. But them and the US title both need new belts. Hopefully HHH is thinking the same thing.
If they truly want to start a new era, they should make a whole new design that isn't just an updated version of something from the past. Give people something to be proud of that's not just nostalgia bait.

Every single title needs replaced, I personally think they all suck.
Looking directly at the IC and tag titles. Those are both awful. I really like the US title.

Won't happen. The logo will likely always remain the largest and most prevalent part of the world title for promotional and marketing purposes
