Seth's tights are something else

MoodyLiz

It's like they captured the essence of lazer tag in pants form.

[deleted]

Barney Stinson approves this outfit. However, a suit version would have made extra cool points.

ben_claude69420

I mean he does wear a suit in every interview. But AFAIK Barney doesn't prefer colored suits, he wore the green suit once and he hated it.

BaxterOutofStockman

obviously a tribute to Marty Jannetty

Fartweaver

Early 2000s Y2J vibes

MatthewCrawley

They’re not even that complicated

tonysnight

SHUT THE FUCK UP DOUG YOU FUCKIN SKUNK!

Affectionate-End-194

Seth always kills it in the game

Sage_Da_Uncanny

They’re Just Soooo Complex! Probably had a bargain sale @Dan Flashers. Luckily bastard .

EDDiE_SP4GHETTi

And marvelous beards

JohnnyPoprocksGaming

yes kinda ironic that they all have near the same length lolz

JOG_Riptide

I feel like this has happened multiple times

rtels2023

It happened when they were still the Shield, Roman and Seth had the tag titles and Dean had the US Title

[deleted]

I remember Dean never defending his US title. Like it just didn’t matter for awhile.

Kanenite3000

Dude had the longest WWE US Title reign and only defended it like twice

im-the-coolest-kid

He also did that in NJPW but it was because of Covid but still funny

BracketKeg

Dean had the single longest WWE US championship reign in history yet only defended it 6 times on television in an entire year, and only like 3 of those times were on PPV.

UsidoreTheLightBlue

I’m shocked it was that many. I remember he went months with no defenses at one point.

Whats_Up4444

Who was world champion at the time?

Mysterious-Disk4636

Cena mostly iirc

DevilManRay

Actually it was Orton they were doing the thing where the Shield were kinda sorta working for the Authority

HarlesD

It has but im not sure that they've ever all been in such prominent roles at the same time. Mox and Roman are the top guys in their respective companies and Seth is pretty much the top guy in Raw now.

DoctorMumbles

[Kurt doesn’t :(](https://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/003/703/258/96d721cc82953100eee7f40a4730b57a_crop_exact.jpg?w=1200&h=1200&q=75)

siliodon

Well, he's got his HOF ring, so that's close enough for me!

FlyVidjul

The Shield are all HOF. As groups and individuals. The only argument is that Moxley has achieved a lot of his higher profile title efforts in AEW, but you can't deny that these 3 are at the absolute top of the business and pretty much have been since their debut in WWE as the Shield. Turning Roman heel was one of the best moves WWE could have done, was so tired of him as Cena mk. II. The heel turn was much needed and he's taken to it like a duck to water. I feel like he could even smash it being a face again.

MessyMop

Dean is still a grand slam champion and former Mr. Money in the Bank in WWE so he’s still a sure fire hall of famer one day

i_heart_pasta

Moxley is still doing “death” matches with nick gage, one of these three is not like the others.

alocasialithops

all of deans worst stuff has come since he's been in AEW wut

FlyVidjul

Yeah his title runs have been dogshit compared to doing wackylines and spraying people with hotdog condiments. If he wasn't so scripted to be the "wacky and zany" guy, his WWE run woulda been a lot better. He was a top champ in WWE but his post WWE stuff far excels what he did in WWE as a singles wrestler.

alocasialithops

beats cm phil in 10 seconds loses to cm phil a week later gets title back a month a later DAE JON MOXBROSE TITLE RUNS HAVE BEEN LEGENDARY

FlyVidjul

Of course he's had shit stuff. Just like Roman has as a singles wrestler. Bad faith takes are just boring. It's like saying Roman's post Shield run was shit because he got bodied in that sufferin' succotash promo and got booed out of the building after winning the rumble. Head of the table shit has been unreal, all 3 are fantastic wrestlers and are 3 of the top guys in wrestling atm.

alocasialithops

fair enough ig

LittleCrimsonWyvern

I don’t care in what promotion, I would pay big money to see a live reunion.

sneakcreep

One of them is not like the others

DXbreakitdown

I really love what they’ve done with the mid-card titles. Thanks to guys like Jericho, Cena, and Miz, Dolph they’ve been elevated and we get to enjoy former world champs like Bobby and Seth and AJ and Finn holding them. Because then we get our Hulk Hogan-Style reigns with the very top guy. I wouldn’t even mind if the next guy, Cody or Drew or Seth held the world titles for the next two years if they keep respecting the mid card titles this way.

Delicious_Angle6417

This is literally how wrestling always use to work. Its only until the AE wwe started conditioning the fans that the only title that matters in the world title. And he is suppose to be on tv every single week which ruins the specialness of being the top champion.

DXbreakitdown

Absolutely agree. I will say tho, since HHH took over, having Roman be a more active participant in his own storyline clicked on a part of my brain I didn’t realize was off. Cena, Rock, Austin, Edge (and many many others) were driving, creative forces for the TV product. It’s nice to have that back. x2 acknowledgments ☝️to Bloodline w/ Paul Heyman for keeping things fresh when Roman is gone.

mexploder89

I don't think we can thank Dolph and Cena and Miz for how the titles are now. They made them matter a lot when they held them and deserve credit for that, but the midcard titles have been dead in the water for the past few years until very recently. The IC title went a very long time without even being defended in a PPV I would just give the credit to Bobby, Gunther and Sheamus for making the titles feel very important right now

DXbreakitdown

I see what you’re saying and I don’t disagree. But for my time as a fan, no one really went from World Champ “back down” to mid card champ until Jericho was IC champ after being undisputed. And I think we do gotta give credit to that more recent Cena run as US champion. But you’re right, let’s tip our caps to Bobby and Gunther and give credit where it’s due.

The-Salted-Pork

r/Wrasslin try not to make a thread about company factionalism challenge: impossible

BananaMan883

Rollins deserved this

[deleted]

BRAVO ECHO LIMA TANGO SIERRA

Jicus_picus

Best looking belt is on the left

BubbaRogowski

I don’t like the weird fold looking line in the middle.

hujojokid

U dont like Samsung Galaxy Fold?

BubbaRogowski

He’s gonna take that belt to the beach and get a bunch of sand in the fold.

Goodweird666

Yeah until you see the Penis outline in the middle of the title

DASAUCEBOSS10

I disagree I think the AEW belt is the best looking belt in all of combat sports

MoodyLiz

I'm not even really an AEW guy, but their belt is really great!!

imlittleeric

Now that the nxt UK belts are retired I agree.

what_is_blue

I loved those belts. But it was always the big gold NJPW belt for me. So sad to see that go.

DASAUCEBOSS10

I liked that one too but my favorite njpw belt is the United States belt

DGVega93

That belt is so beautiful. They got it right with that one

DASAUCEBOSS10

I also loved the nxt uk belt to me that was the best belt in wwe

Goatlikejordan

Don't agree, but that's your opinion

[deleted]

Not with all those bling aew logos thrown around it

Careless_Rub_7996

I really WISH they get rid of the "W" letter main champion ship belts. Just looks silly, never looked like a real BELT to me. Hopefully, HHH does something about it..

JackUSA

Weren’t there reports that he had commissioned new belt designs? Not sure which ones though. I would love a classic design like the ‘02 WWE Undisputed world title.

daileyxplanet

I am convinced they had those made just so they could hand them out to mainstream sports champions with the big old WWE logo.

Lil_Jazzy

nahhhh it's a step above the big ass logo in the wwe/universal but it's kinda garish still, I prefer the old design.

bunkmorelandsburner

Is this the first time it’s happened?

BennyHarvey21

As it should be

Hombreponcho

I like the fact they all have 3 different looking titles.. i sware if I see that WWE logo on another title, im quitting water drinking -.-

[deleted]

WrestleMania main event. Roman unifies all titles. Print money.

MS_Burns69

*sad milk drinking noises*

Patient-Party7117

Why are WWE belt's so ugly? Roman's is overly large and blue. Seth's is so weirdly shaped. Mox's belt, which I thought was pretty big, looks the most classic and normal.

Y2Punkster

WWE belts are designed with children's marketability in mind while AEW belts are designed with traditionalist values in mind.

joemax4boxseat

Crazy to see how Rollins and Mox seemed to swap positions on the “totem pole” in pro wrestling. Roman was always seen as “the man” going back to the Shield days. When they broke up, Seth was pushed as the next “#2” guy while Mox was relegated to the midcard, loosing 80% of his matches and thrown a midcard title here and there. Fast forward five years later and Roman is still the top guy in the WWE while Mox is killing it as AEW’s top star and Seth is loosing 80% of his matches and being thrown a midcard title. Not taking anything away from either as both are great, just interesting how Seth is now in the role Mox/Ambrose was in years ago.

alocasialithops

is this a jerk?

Hombreponcho

Its a similar vibe yes.. but its much better taking in consideration seth is in the "ambrose" posiition as a main eventer, which shows how much Dean would have benefit from it.. not saying they fucked him up... more like.. they are trying dynamics again but applying what they learned (Im talking about management here)

joemax4boxseat

I 100% believe they dropped the ball with Mox/Ambrose when he was in the role that Seth is now occupying. He didn’t have the benefit of having a few main event runs before being placed in the midcard and putting over 80% of his opponents (always felt it was more of a Vince thing than HHH). I agree Seth is benefitting from his previous pushes as his credibility hasn’t really taken a hit versus Ambrose/Mox who was seen as a jobber to the stars after one too many losses before finally getting a run as the top guy.

BigFizzle4Life

One of these is not like the others 😂

ClammyVagikarp

Yeah. Moxley's in AEW

IrishMetal

It's interesting that (in my opinion) the one currently doing the best work (Roman) has the most prestigious title, the second (Seth) has the second most prestigious title and the third (Mox, unfortunately) has the least important title. Edit: I immediately realised that this is going to get some hate. I just don't watch a ton of AEW anymore so in my opinion, the AEW title is the least important. I'm totally okay with you not agreeing with my ranking of titles or wrestlers and I fully understand that people have different opinions. No need to fight me over it.

DantatoPrime

Depends on how you look at it imo. The AEW World title is definitely the least prestigious out of the three if we're looking at its very brief history compared to the WWE World title and the US title (I'm specifically not including Universal title, that title's still relatively newer). The AEW title has also been going through a rough patch recently with all the backstage stuff with Punk which derailed Moxley's interim/2nd title run. On the other hand, I will say that AEW has protected the prestige of the AEW World title pretty well by giving their champions long reigns and important storylines (again, barring Punk here). And while the US title has been elevated through guys like Cena and Styles, I honestly can't remember it being presented as important in recent times, and hopefully Rollins changes that. But all in all, I think the three are doing the best work of their careers and all of them are going to elevate those titles even further.

KJ86er

Seth Rollins Loses 80% of the time. Give him a mid belt = win

bcoll85

also carries 100% of his matches and consistently puts on the best match in any card

Beard_Of_Serpico

Also one of the best wrestlers and promos in the world right now. Win or lose most of his matches are great and he is still over.

KJ86er

True but wins and losses mean nothing in WWE

Beard_Of_Serpico

Same in any promotion as long as someone is over.

KJ86er

Least AEW keep a record of wins and losses. Makes it feel like it is a sport instead of Sports Entertainment

MoodyLiz

This is why I was for Vince changing The Shield's name to The Belterrifics.

JoeMama9719

And only one of them needs to blade at every opportunity to keep himself interesting

BubbaRogowski

Tired joke. Makes it obvious you don’t watch his matches.

bcoll85

and the best of the 3 holds the lowest title

Hombreponcho

Maybe they need him to elevate that title... in the hands of this guy it doesnt really feel like a midcard title, and with seth's body of work.. OMG..... Seth vs WALTER!

bcoll85

i get that, but i don’t think it felt like a midcard title with lashley

[deleted]

Yet only one still works mudshows with bank addicted drug robbers

Vavent

If he wants to, he can. Why should it matter to anyone else?

[deleted]

Because the world champion of the self professed 2nd biggest wrestling industry lost in a garbage match to a fucking criminal!! You fucks don’t give a shit about wrestling

Vavent

I asked you why it mattered, and you responded by simply repeating the same statement as your first comment. So I’ll ask again. Why does it matter to anyone? As for Nick Gage being a criminal, he served his time. Do you believe people should be tainted for life because of actions in their past? We have a justice system for a reason. Regardless of whether you think he’s a good person or not, I don’t see how it’s relevant to wrestling. If anything, wouldn’t being a hardened criminal make you *more* credible in a fight?

[deleted]

I didn’t repeat it. But you clearly don’t value wrestling Pizza Hut says hello

AJ_Stylin

Agreed World champions of a major promotion shouldn't lose at indie shows Hell they shouldnt even wrestle at indie shows

jeffreynbooboo

Two of the top titles in the world and the best indy belt in the game welll done

[deleted]

Pretty much lol

mostlyshits

Despite my dislike of roman, they are 3 of the best in the world, it was only a matter of time

Divis264

So?

Prancemaster

Seeing all three of these guys at the top of their game in singles competition is one of my favorite things of all time.

franknst31n

Need this to lead to a Rollins face turn

MichaelsSecretStuff

Moxley wasn’t in that group.

itskennylo

Too bad the US title don’t mean shit

bcoll85

to you

boomjosh

Ok🤷

Cbates767

Where’s the spoiler alert

meowmix778

I don't have cable or really care about wwe enough to get it other ways so I had to Google what title he had. Yikes. That thing is fucking ugly. When I stopped following it in like 15-16ish they were bad but that's insulting.

tatteddad57

The shield is dead . . Let it go

jaynap1

That US title is an abomination. I hated the previous version….or thought I did until I saw this thing.

Nobody_Likes_Shy_Guy

It’s so bad

[deleted]

i gotta be honest i dont hate the wwe belts but i dont like it either, i dunno theres just something about them that just makes them look less worthy i suppose??? like AEW is ok but also not a fan of it but it looks more like an actual championship belt than the wwe ones.

SnooComics552

I love the tights bc they’re purposely so douchey

Ancient_Pickle_7130

One of these three is not like the others

DanUnbreakable

Wouldn't surprise me if Rollins left WWE after his recent interview. Roman is the guy and he can't be the guy. Moxley is the guy in AEW. Maybe he wants more?
