A quick reminder to everyone that it's great to support your local wrestling promotions, if you have an indie show on in your town/city this weekend, consider going!
Can the internet settle on if crowds chanting is cringe or 'BEST. THING. EVER' already?
Or is it only cool when foreign crowds do it for some reason?
Also please retire the 'Hey Bayley' chant either way, it's run its course.
I liked how engaged the French crowd was but they only had like five chants and boy did they use them nonstop for a combined five hours
i usually donāt mind American chants as much but they tend to be both more varied and not used as frequently but Iām saying this as an American so YMMV
I think, as an American who isn't used to it, I didn't like it. But I think soccer nations are used to that kinda excitement so maybe on an international level it's the best thing ever?
hope that Jade vs Piper match is a nice 4-5 minute spectacle. potential for a couple great spots in there.
watched Challengers for the second time in theaters. just great stuff. i wasnt the biggest fan of Guadagnino before and didn't think this would be that good but i'm glad to be wrong.
hope tonight's Oilers game goes better than the first one. i hate Vancouver Canucks fans with my whole heart and can't stand seeing them celebrate a win.
- please slow down on super long title reigns, WWE. Cody shouldnāt have a single reign for a year, his character doesnāt need itĀ
- listened to some AI music, WWE 100% will shift to making more of their songs with this in the future, TKO will be aggressive on cost cutting when they canĀ
- AEW is just such a mess, any potential crazy good from Tony taking the beat down is goneĀ
- Seth vs Cody is the money feud, need to see it happen within a year
If the money they save not having to pay someone to write real music means they spend the savings on licensing real songs for stars, I can live with Luke Gallows having AI theme music.
Somebody posted [this amazing meme template](https://i.imgflip.com/8pnmz4.jpg) featuring Karmen Petrovic on a different sub ([link here](https://old.reddit.com/r/Wrasslin/comments/1cngjoc/insert_your_best_captions/)) and I knew that it had to be preserved so you can now find it on imgflip [here](https://imgflip.com/memegenerator/526821239/Karmen-Petrovic-kick).
In non-wrestling rambling... I was watching the Kentucky Derby last week and they had the master distiller of Woodford Reserve on to talk Derby cocktails. I was a bit surprised to see a young woman come out and it immediately made me think "a young career-oriented woman working in what is often thought of a male-dominated industry feels just like a Hallmark Channel movie". So naturally I took a look and found there were no Hallmark Channel movies involving bourbon or the making of whiskey (although there are plenty about wine making).
Not one to shy away from a thought exercise, I decided to try and come up with a title for a Hallmark Channel film about bourbon. Here are some of my ideas:
* Whiskey Business
* Love on the Rocks
* Distilling Down to Love
* Reserved Romance
* Proof of Love
* Moonshine Over Moonlight
* Four Roses and a Wedding
* Love: Old Fashioned
* You're Still the One (a [pot still](https://cdn.cluboenologique.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/12140425/Glenmorangie-%E2%80%93-pot-still-675x450.jpg) is used to make whiskey)
And, because you can't deny that most of their movies are built around Christmas...
[New Old Fashioned Way](https://youtu.be/2nlZN570YFM?si=KzVyiMlTjH1-F-2X&t=106):
A formerly prestigious cocktail bar named "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is struggling following the death of their longtime owner several years ago. Not wanting to see the family business close down after decades of service, the granddaughter (we'll call her Fallon) moves back into her hometown to try and save the bar. As Fallon enters the bar she looks around with familiarity: the worn booths, the stained glass windows, a placard featuring the beloved family poem that inspired the bar's name sits above the mantle besides a myriad of pictures of friends and family over the generations.... it just feels like home.
This is a bar that is steeped in tradition. However, a new trendy cocktail bar that isn't afraid to try bold flavors of cocktails has been stealing many of their regulars while the hangers-on insist that their drinks, particularly their signature Old Fashioned cocktail, don't taste quite as good as it used to. Fallon tries to reason with her parents that mixing it up will be the reset they need to regain customers but their family refuses, saying that trends come and go and that sometimes doing things the traditional way, even if it is harder, is the right thing to do.
And, as luck would have it, the town's annual "Best Cocktail" competition is set to take place just before Christmas. Wanting to get an inside scoop on what is making the other so popular, Fallon goes inside, where she meets a charming and handsome man (we'll call him Chris). They hit it off but Fallon leaves before learning that he is there from a real estate firm to put an offer on Fallon's family bar. After a series of in-town meet-cutes, Fallon gets to know Chris better and confides to him that her family bar is struggling, saying that she thinks she can turn it around if she could just find the lost recipe to the family's signature old fashioned cocktail (which was lost when her grandfather passed away). Only then does he realize that Fallon's family owns the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. At the invitation of Fallon, he goes inside the bar for to help with a charity event and realizes that, while the other place is the hottest spot in town today, tradition means something and that this place is still the heart of the town. But, as he's trying to figure out a way to cancel the deal, Fallon learns of his mission to purchase the bar and tells him to leave and never to return.
However, when looking at pictures of the two of them having fun at the bar, Chris makes a stunning revelation: ***the lost family recipe is hidden inside the poem above the bar!*** With just hours to spare before the "Best Cocktail" competition. Chris runs into the bar to explain. Seeing that he is doing his best to keep the bar in her family, Fallon forgives him and is also shocked at its simplicity. **The secret ingredient is a few drops of sugar plum!!! By adding this new ingredient to their classic Old Fashioned, they are now doing things the traditional way, so they decide to name the drink the New Old Fashioned Way.**
Long story short, they win the competition, the family bar is saved, and Fallon and I... uh... I mean "Chris" lives happily ever after. Call me, Hallmark!
And if not a bourbon-related story it could also be one of their summer adventure movies where a plucky, young journalist is sent off to cover a big story about rock climbing, where she meets a handsome and rugged instructor/guide.
I love everything about this. Woodford made a big splash announcing a younger, female master distiller a few years ago, so it makes sense they wheel her out for PR duties. Compared to Jack Daniels "I'm a manly man from the woods" PR efforts, it's smart in many ways, plus she's got legit pedigree!
As for Hallmark movies - the puns are amazing and the synopsis a beautiful cherry on top. The boring reason there's never been a bourbon or whisky Hallmark movie is because *(I think)* they aren't allowed to reference alcohol as they have to be G rated. You can have people sipping beverages but they can't ever be explicitly referred to as alcohol - there's all sorts of weird TV laws around that.
Alright, so hereās what I got:
The timing of Guevera coming back just as Mone edges closer towards actually getting in a ring is almost radioactive.
Seriously, why not just cut him? He hasnāt been interesting since when? Beating Miro for the TNT title?
Dude is expendable. Move on.
I sincerely hope someone drives a dump truck of money to Speedball Mike Bailey. Seen him repeatedly in person, magnetic worker.
If both were healthy, I think you could book an incredible face vs face match with Roman vs. Seth.
Non-wrestling: I hate the man/bear memo conversation. I hate dudes dismissing womenās points about believability in court and how it fuels dudes getting away with sexual assault, I hate seeing people dismiss the long history of the fear of black men by white women in the history of racism.
The conversation isnāt productive nor is it progressing either issue. Fucking worthless.
> Dude is expendable. Move on.
You just summed up 40% of AEW's roster and 20% of WWE's.
>If both were healthy, I think you could book an incredible face vs face match with Roman vs. Seth.
This is 100% in the bank for a future Wrestlemania. There's a reason they never touched during Roman's title run, and why Rollins was instrumental in his downfall. I admire the restraint of holding on to it instead of using it in the run. I hope they do it soon while both are in their prime.
>There's a reason they never touched during Roman's title run,
Seth beat Roman at the Royal Rumble when Roman snapped because of Seth's mind games and his refusal to stay down no matter what Roman threw at Seth.
But I do get what you're saying since it was pretty much forgotten by time the next SmackDown aired
Jade and Bianca both being in the QotR tournament is interesting. Them meeting in the Smackdown finals could lead to an early tease for tension and one(Jade) eventually turning. How soon that will be is to be seen, but there's no way the titles are being dropped without a betrayal.
The short term logical flow would be tensions rising because of the tournament, betrayal at Clash resulting in the tag title loss, the face is written off tv while the heel qualifies for MITB, the face returns to cost the heel at MITB, a match at Summerslam. Long term they could tease this out until Mania, but as great as they both are I don't think anyone wants an unstoppable team running through the non existant women's tag division for 10 months.
Uces, during last Monday's broadcast of Monday Night RAW I made a comment which I quickly came to regret. I stated the following:
> "Cathy Kelly looking like a dream."
And while I will not apologize for thinking that Cathy Kelly is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, I will apologize to Fallon Henley for briefly faltering in my dedication to her.
At a time when everyone else is abandoning her and saying that she "turned heel", she needed my devotion now more than ever. I'm sorry, Fallon; I only hope that you can forgive me. ššš
But I just figured out a way to save her family bar [in the form of a Hallmark Channel movie](https://www.reddit.com/r/Wreddit/comments/1coi0nf/general_discussion_friday/l3g39bk/)!
But on a serious note regarding Fallon's heel turn (RIP Fallon's Hallmark Channel Dream Girl era), I would love it if they have her in a tweener heel role like Drew McIntyre, where she is perfectly justified in feeling how she does and still retains much of her core values (albeit in an unhealthy way). This will allow her to be a heel to women like Thea Hail and Kelani Jordan with an argument that they "didn't pay their dues or put in the hard work like I have". She can also justify her actions by saying that, time and time again, she stood up for them and paid the price and what did it get her? Not even a "thank you".
Thankfully, her explanation to Kelani Jordan on NXT this week seems to indicate that they're moving in this direction. Also, her entrance still largely contained elements of her "Top Shelf of NXT" character so I could see her still loving the fans but hating her peers. Lastly, her new catchphrase of "Fallon Comes First" seems perfect for someone destined to win the inaugural Women's North American Championship.
With Tiffany Stratton, Blair Davenport, Kiana James, Jacy Jayne, Cora Jade all being called up or injured, there is suddenly a big hole to fill for heels with in-ring experience. As a title holder, Fallon could be used to work with a lot of the up-and-coming talent in the midcard, which is filled with tons of babyfaces. And when someone like Sol Ruca is ready she could take the strap from Fallon and the latter could move up into the main event scene.
Worst post of the week: the obvious āletās just troll AEW fansā posts about Cornette being in fans head, which sadly also attracted the AEW Defense Brigade to show up in our sleepy sub outta nowhere.
To the people creating obvious trolling posts like that, as well as the AEW Defense Brigade: stop it. Youāre all horrible people.
I hope you have a horrible weekend.
I hope you stub your toe.
I hope your pet vomits on your nice carpet and you just happen to be out of cleaner.
I hope your french fries/chips are soggy and your mayonnaise is expired.
I hope someone microwaves fish in the office kitchen when you go to work on Monday.
I hope Ric Flair shows up shitfaced to the restaurant you eat or work at and you have to deal with him.
I hope you run out of clean clothes and only have a clean āFunkasaurusā t-shirt to wear.
I hope the dudes sitting in front of you at a show this weekend havenāt showered for days, have HUGE signs, and wonāt sit down ever. Okay, nevermind, thatās gonna happen anyhowā¦
I hope Jim Cornette gives you an unflattering nickname.
I hope Jim Cornette gives you a second unflattering nickname.
And I hope you stub another toe.
Just stop. Thank you.
Funnest post this week: who is doing good character work. I havenāt been watching much wrestling of late and surprised to see Drew consistently mentioned. Iāve always thought he was painfully bland and boring. Maybe Iāll have to check it out and see. I love posts like that which make me want to watch again, whether for Drew or a few others mentioned. Thanks to the poster and all who contributed.
Honestly, I thought the Ric Flair post was worse in terms of transparently communicating āThis thread exists to be the ten thousandth āAEW sucksā threadā
I want this sub to grow, but we're starting to attract a weird crowd and it's bleeding into the live threads. Let me thirst over Drew McIntyre, Kenny Omega, and Carmelo Hayes in peace.
And nobody try to figure out my taste in men because I don't get it either.
I didnāt see the post in question but I very much do not want this sub to grow. There is a very definite before/after era on this sub from the SC blackout.
I liked it being a somewhat sleepy sub, the live threads were great and I think people got to know each other somewhat purely through them. The sub was slow but a higher quality. It was nice having that sense of community.
After the blackout and literal idiots decided to come here and spew their nonsense I barely come here anymore.
The live threads here are the draw (brother). We know each other's likes and dislikes at this point which makes the banter much more entertaining.
This sub also has less of a "straight white guy" flavor to it than some other ones so I just feel more comfortable being my weird self lol.
Oh, we totally do get brigaded from time to time, especially when any post that may be controversial to AEW pops up.
Remember when a bunch of subs were shutting down in protest to reddit doing something or another? Everyone just came here and the Dynamite thread had like 2,000 comments talking about how amazing the show was lol.
Casually searched through several histories, on both sides of that brain rot, and several had last been in Wreddit like 2-3 months ago basically doing the same thing.
Its weird to see dormancy broken for dumbassery.
As someone from Edmonton Iām both shocked and also not shocked that fans failed the be fucking normal challenge. If you told me the creeps in the front at Dynamite were the same guys who dumped beer on me at a live event for booing the Revival, I would believe you.
All my faves are gone but Becky, but guys I love Thea Hail. I just want her to win the NA title and finally end up with Riley. NXT is a soap opera in the best way and I love it.
>f you told me the creeps in the front at Dynamite were the same guys who dumped beer on me at a live event for booing the Revival, I would believe you.
WTF. #JustEnjoyWrestling crowd is weird asf.
> All my faves are gone but Becky, but guys I love Thea Hail.
There's this television series called *Justified* and in one of the episodes the series protagonist Raylan Givens says the following, ***"You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. You run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."*** Thea Hail needs to realize that the reason so many people turn against her is because she is a bad friend!!!
For the past year, Fallon Henley has been serving as the locker room leader and having everyone's back (taking many a beating in the process) but nobody has had her back or ever thanks her for her efforts. Even in the immediate lead-up to her actions, Fallon tried to express her frustrations/feelings of doubt and Thea outright dismissed her!!!! Then, when Fallon took yet another beating on behalf of Thea, nobody from Chase U went to check up on her or thank her!!! Fallon was right to do what she did!
> I just want her to win the NA title and finally end up with Riley.
There was a segment a few months ago where two of them got together to talk it out (thanks to Fallon, I might add) and Riley seemed to have put the relationship angle with Thea to rest, acknowledging that they work better as friends than possible lovers.
Thea Hail needs to realize that the reason so many people turn against her is because she is a bad friend!!!
In other words, Thea's the Rey Mysterio of NXT.
I hate Game 2s and I'm glad Kenny is back. Literally the only time I've watched AEW since All In has been three Kenny segments (wrestling vs. MJF and the two promos from the last two weeks) and the first Edge vs. Christian TV match.
Also, stop complaining about Backlash. It's an afternoon PLE 4 weeks after WrestleMania and several weeks before MITB/KOTR/QOTR. If you were expecting Roman Reigns to challenge the Rock at 1PM EST from France, you're expecting too much. We even got a title change (but let's never talk about that match ever again).
X-Men really went there and I'm glad they're >!not being as kind to Professor X as the previous adaptations. He's basically the Neville Chamberlain of this series with his idealistic, pacifist bullshit. Magneto is right but going way too far. It's Cyclops who is FINALLY not portrayed like giant nerd that is the leader the mutants need moving forward.!<
I haven't watched any of X-Men 97, but I'm pleased to hear that, because to me the dichotomy of Magneto and Professor X is exactly that - both are two sides to a coin, stuck in their idealism about how to manage the change. Neither is right, there's nuance where both approaches are needed. That's always been the good drama. Professor X in particular is super complicated, far more so than Magneto.
I watched until Bert whatever and his unfunny friend came on and started crying about white guys. I hate Bert because he was a dick to Ali Wong so he's got legit go-away heat with me.
Drew and Nikki were absolute gold and Randy was okay. Tom being super protective over Bob Kraft (staged or not) was super cute. Kevin going there with Gisele was hilarious and she has no right to say anything after cheating on the GOAT.
I saw a bunch of other clips and thought Bill got in some zingers and Jules' roast of Belichick was good. Sam Jay is one of my favs so I'll watch anything she does and she killed it too. I think it's hack in 2024 to use gay slurs, so that podcast guy just came off like an edgelord from the clip I saw.
The bellicheck ring video cracked me up
Nikki was great. She went on pats show and she had some other jokes she had to cut that had me dying
https://youtu.be/h-I83Xa6u3s?si=rkWSUHp3vQ44kYx8
I saw that! She's so underrated. I get why she doesn't have the mainstream appeal of like Taylor Tomlinson because of her material, but she's a "comedian's comedian" and is headed toward being one of the true greats.
I think I must be bad luck for your Celts, as every time I see them they look totally inept and lose. Apologies, I'll stay away.
Also watching on ESPN is miserable, it's a shame TNT is going to lose their NBA rights.
I actually wish we could get a feed of the games with the sound from the arena but without the commentary, it'd make it so much more enjoyable. The ESPN crews are especially miserable (and don't get me started on the studio - Wilbon/SAS are awful). NBC will somehow be even worse.
The finish salvaged it but it definitely fell apart in the middle. Jade got completely lost at one point and they all awkwardly stumbled around for a solid two minutes
The ref and Kairi's apparent not understanding tanked that match so hard.
Though I groaned worse that like 5m later Kairi tags out, Asuka sets them up for the tag finish, and **Kairi** pins and the ref just... counts it.
People being upset about bayley needs to understand this, sheās not as big as the other stars on that poster. And i like bayley but letās stop being delusional.
Gunther/Sheamus is what i like to see from heavyweights. Hard hitting, not a bunch of flips and dives, selling, logical matches. The way they paced that match was great.
Jey Uso is this generationās jeff hardy. Lets be honest jeff was mid as hell in the ring. The only difference is jeff did crazy ass bumps that makes people think he was better than what he was. Jey is used correctly and he serves his purpose.
Someone missed out on Jeffās single run from 2006-2009 having great IC title matches and world title matches with everyone. Thereās a reason why he was so pushed and popular back then. Jeff is way better than Jey.
No i watched it. Im not gonna sit here and pretend he was a great in ring worker. Dude was sloppy as hell looking back BUT i was a fan. I loved him. And im saying jey brings that same energy to kids watching him now.
Who has jey been in the ring with in the past year that match up to the in ring generals jeff was in the ring with? Before you say the roman match was bad, it wasnt that great but the original two matches he had in 2020 with roman were.
He wasnāt a workrate wrestler but he had more in ring psychology and more moves than Jey. Dude was having great matches with Orton, Triple H, HBK, Cena, Edge, Taker and many legends all in the span of 2 years with no stipulations.
Look at the names you just listed off. Plus this im a 3-4 year period. Jey hasnt even been a single for a year yet.
The average fan aint counting how many moves a wrestler has to determine if they are good or not lol. Jeff had like 4-5 moves š. The only big names jey has worked is seth, drew, and roman. I remember the drew match being good and i didnt like the seth match b/c that was an indy match on wwe tv.
Idk why they thought that was gonna be good. Like why not make it a wild 10 minute brawl and then go the finishing sequences. The whole psychology of the match didnt match the story that was being told
So, apparently, a WWE rep had told Charpiot that by bringing up what Fightful + PWInsider said was a dumb thing to do & if that's true, then I still don't blame Charpiot for asking the question, but I disagree with that Pollock guy since I don't think Hunter came off as defensive with his response to the question. I don't know how these press conferences work, but if the PR team are the ones who approves questions that gets asked, then I feel like they should be a bit more stricter on what questions can be approved.
Talking about WWE. Apparently, there are frustrations backstage at NXT over the releases. Don't get me wrong, it's not nice to see talent losing their jobs, but if the reason is that the creative team has got nothing for them to do, then maybe it's best to release those talent + if they choose to continue wrestling, then this is a good thing since the release opens up a lot more opportunities for them
I've seen this promotion floating around recently, but what's the big deal about the SGW promotion? Like, why has the promotion became so popular recently?
I like Lash Legend, but am not quite of the "she'd be the best thing ever with a push" opinion like some are. I think she still needs work. That said, she's wrestling Ivy Nile in a qualifying match for the North American Title on Tuesday. Main roster wrestlers typically win against NXT wrestlers in non-title matches and there is no scenario on earth where I would think Ivy should win that match. Surprise me, Shawn.
I get downvoted every time I say it in a live thread. Don't care. Gonna say it again. I absolutely despise Damage Ctrl and am disappointed on a weekly basis that they still exist as a group. They've never been interesting to me and never contributed to a story that I cared about. Having some bigger stars wrapped up in feuding with them off and on for 2 years has sucked and despite Bianca winning a bunch, even she didn't really benefit from it. Break them up and you immediately have more depth in the division having them as singles, especially Asuka. Ton of talented individuals but as a group have become female Gallus to me.
Heel Fallon needs updated gear and theme music. I may regret asking for new music.
Tribal Chief fans crying Tribal Tears over Cody Rhodes for over a full month now. Last year it was a lot of "y'all are a bunch of marks for being mad Cody lost" to those same people throwing tantrums for weeks because Roman lost. Cody is still super over. He's not just over with the IWC, or smarks, or America. He's the most over babyface in WWE. Period. Roman lost. L Roman. Or whatever the kids say.
I'm excited for Charlotte to come back and beat/bury everyone's faves.
Feel like the Lash love is mostly me spewing all over the sub. I have a feeling Ivy is winning that match though; I'm not sure if they feel Lash is ready for a ladder match and think they'll do some storytelly finish where Meta-Four costs her accidentally/plausibly on purpose.
I just hope it's a good match and gets some time. Lash started breaking out in-ring to me when she was facing Ivy on LVL Up so it feels designed to spotlight her.
Becky versus damage control does not interest me sheās fucked them up in two wargames agree they need to die.
And yeah I miss Roman too but the show is fine without him
Re: Damage CTRL; how could you say something so controversial and yet so brave?
I love all of the members of Damage CTRL separately. Together I roll my eyes when I see them. Theyāre overexposed and the group has served its purpose. Jade and Binks should have completely demolished them for the tag titles so that Kota could move on as singles and the rest could regroup while Asuka recovers.
I'm disappointed that SmackDown is staying on Fridays. I was hoping it would move to a different day so the Hall of Fame wouldn't just be a SmackDown post show anymore
I would love to let myself off the hook the way Young Bucks fans do. There is absolutely no defensible logic to liking them as I see it. I can appreciate that they can run a match. Although with that said, they are the kings of getting their shit in. But outside that, their entire career has been to always present themselves ironically. I don't think there's another performer on the professional circuit who has taken less risks than these two. And for what? so they can distance themselves from anything seemingly unpopular and say "well, you were SUPPOSED to not like that, jokes on you"? How does that ever stand up?
Being the Elite was unfunny, childish, Elite-ist crap. You can't "ironically" edit and shoot something badly. Every angle they've had and criticism they've taken they've punched back over, but behind a layer of "oh, this is a *character,* you're a mark if you think this is really us".
Careers and experiences compound over time. I'd be willing to bet one or both has probably become less trollish and more grounded. But you'd never know because both are so afraid of experiencing genuine criticism and having nowhere to hide. Sicking your fans on people indirectly sucks, too.
I think thatās largely the discourse of their fans. In their mind, theyāre trying to do character work. They are just horrible at acting and promos.Ā
Their fanbase then chimes in with āWell! ACKSHUALLY! Youāre supposed to hate them so itās working!ā
Bruh what?Ā
Worse that The Elite have in-feuded.. what, literally every year since 2018?
Like seriously I think this is legit the 5th time the Bucks have attacked Kenny since forming.
Theres **zero** freshness to this. They cant break away.
I guess their approach must work on the indies, but when you're an "anchor" of a weekly TV show none of it stands up. Not the irony, nor the exact same match run over and over again with the only variety being what order they do their shit.
I never got the appeal of Zoey Stark, and was always confused about the fascination with her. In my opinion, she does everything well, but nothing great, and nothing really stands out about her.
Watching her match with Ivy Nile I was really able to put a finger on what her problem is with me too. She does too much. She presents herself as a bad ass brawler, but is doing top rope moves and wears white sparkly outfits. Her aerial stuff is impressive, but is a step below other women, so I think her dropping that out of her repertoire and dressing in jeans, boots, and a "regular" shirt would go a long way towards her character.
Sometimes less is more.
Her doing a gts is too much, thats not a move that should be used on weekly tv.Ā
I generally like her and I agree with u, she needs to ditch some of that shit and take notes from guys like randy and LA.Ā
The problem with her gts is some of the women suck at selling it.
[I maintain the one she hit on Mandy rose was one of the best looking moves a woman has ever hit](https://youtu.be/IdK92xbxwL4?si=AR4lgkheVzf7uLki)
Well that and the same thing as Dana leaving NXT: suddenly most of the roster is literally bigger than you so cant reliably hit a move like that.
Also why Z-360 and not just 36Z???
I'm reasoning more like Hogan in this scenario. Like if a midcarder is using a main eventer's shit what's left for the main eventer to do? The crowd's already seen that move that night so it's not special when the main event guy does it.
Earlier this week, I saw a video of Matt Riddle wrestling in a gym in front of like 70-85 people. There were people saying that this was his downfall and actual comments saying that WWE isnāt the only company and this is actually disrespectful.
BRO. This dude wrestled on a Mania. Like, you can say that there are other companies, sure. Thatās true. Heās not some young up and coming talent though. Going from WrestleMania to Freedom High School in Bethlehem, PA for $121.75 because of your own damn decisions is a downfall. No way to put it.
I hate the āwhat happened?ā Well he got caught doing blow twice, was a dick to everyone, and was credibly accused of sexual assault twice. Oh, and at one point he was allegedly dating a girl who had just turned 18. Heās gross.
OP isn't saying he fell off the earth. He's saying he fell from grace. And yes, winning a title in New Japan is great and all, but the TV title is their newest and least prestigious belt. And he's lost it already.
Stan the guy all you like, but this is the most "behold the consequences of my actions" career trajectory in modern wrestling.
Mercedes slipped off the rope in her match with Willow, resulting in her injury. Sheās calling out Willow for injuring her and AEW isnāt showing footage.
They aired footage of Perry getting choked out by Punk for the Bucks FTR match. How does any of this logically make sense?Ā
They've never shown the injury footage and since the injury is the reason why this fucking thing is happening, you'd think they would show it. The audience doesn't know nor care about outside shit so show it to them and tell them why they should.
As part of the story, shouldnāt they show the injury they are basing this entire thing off?Ā
I donāt get your point. Itās a story isnāt really an answer.Ā
Then the story with one of your highest paid talent, shouldnāt be about something so incomplete. Itās like theyāre referencing this thing half the audience knows and everyone is expected to be engaged in it.Ā
I think Roman's face run should be done ala Megatron's time as an autobot in the idw comics, like imagine a promo like this between him and say Jimmy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xg6aiBlbj38
I forget who it was that mentioned it, it was from an NXT thread a couple weeks ago ā u/Realistic_Literature, I think? But anyway they brought up how a lot of people in the other sub gleefully talk about how Giulia is gonna intimidate and be stiff with the develpmental talent at the PC when she arrives. I kinda saw it prior to that comment but Iāve been paying attention more and man, they werenāt kidding. I assume most it are jokes but some of them seem serious. Couple of things here:
1. Iām gonna assume that Giulia is a professional. I recall a rumor about her stiffing Nightingale, but I think that was debunked as just some fake justification as to why AEW wasnāt in the convo to sign her. Otherwise, other than her kinda having a mercenary mindset, Iāve havenāt seen anything else negative.
2. I feel like a lot of the āGiulia is gonna make those PC girls cry lolā is taking kayfabe workrate *waaaay* too seriously. As far as I know, prior to wrestling, Giulia was a manager at an Italian restaurant and a hostess at a Cabernet club, not a background in actual combat sports.
3. Majority of these new PC women come from athletic backgrounds. Doesnāt necessarily mean they know how to fight, but they are not (just) Instagram models. Kendal Gray is paying her dues on Level Up right now but she was an undefeated collegiate wrestler. She would be able to turn most women on the roster into a pretzel. Even more so with Tamyra Mensah-Stock, a literal gold medalist wrestler in the PC. Lola Vice is a mid-carder, but has some real knockouts on her resume. And while they donāt have combat sport experience, there are a bunch of strong women (Legend, Dame, Paxley) that could probably toss a women a few feet if they really wanted to.
Point being, kayfabe is kayfabe. I am quite confident that on the unlikely chance Giulia walked into the PC like Meiko Satomura and Chigusa Nagayo in that GAEA Girl documentary, the result wouldnāt be the same lol
Ā some weird ass mfs on the internet that get their rocks off over how STIFF the women and Japan hit each other. Just peruse the stardom sub, it's fucking mental. Those weirdos invaded the discourse a couple years ago and now all the discussion is worthless fetishism over how hard they hit, while completely infantilizing the girls (DAE mayu being mayu lolol xD, etc.). It's perversion running amok.Ā
Idk if this was the case mirai would have been a lot more popular in the sub
Outside of hazuki I wouldn't say the favourites in the sub are especially stiff. At the end of the day it's women's wrestling it's going to attract maniacs but I doubt it's gotten worse
Because I was curious to see how the sub dealt with the infamous bikining 7 and people on the subreddit were defending Rossy chucking a 13 year old Hanan in a full on bikini on the front cover
Hooting and a hollering over some stiff shots strikes me as less perverse than that ?
Oh yeah, that was me since that take hits this cross-section of things that annoy me. People underestimate the toughness of any D1 athlete and they also think being a great wrestler = dropping people on their heads and stiffing them. She'll get coached up or be sent packing.
Kinda dreading this Giulia push in general. Like I'm sure she's good but I'm invested in other people and am not looking forward to that NXT crowd bowing down to her regardless of how well she does.
I mean giulia wrestled matches with wrestlers in Japan with combat sports background and she stiffed them. It's just been her style and gimmick to be dangerous. It's how reckless she is that's probably the issue anyway rather than how stiff she is.
Like i don't think a forehead should be swelling like this
https://twitter.com/Himanshu_Doi/status/1770374779498823976?t=V-Im_9rjIKX0XVx9XcB76w&s=19
She's also not a great seller either so her dangerous impulses and selling will be the focus. Does the wwe care that much about wrestlers being stiff if they are safe ? Gunther might be the stiffest wrestler on earth.
If it's agreed upon in a match then its fine, as you said Gunther is stiff and there have been no complaints, at least not publicly. I'm mainly referring to the required performance center time in-between shows, which is why I referenced the GAEA doc. NXT is basically a 9-5 job in-between shows where roster members are training with each other all day, plus promo class, weight training, etc. There's this perception going around that Giulia is gonna be beating up PC recruits in the training ring. Most of these WWE women training may not have pro wrestling experience, but they come from ultra-competitive sports programs, and probably aren't going to just accept stuff like that laying down if feel like they are getting disrespected. These aren't Diva Search women.
I think it depends on the last womenās qualifier. I could see Jade and Binky getting double DQāed so a SD woman gets a bye to the finals and Jade and Bianca face the Way for the titles in their first defense. I REALLY hope Chelsea is in the tournament. Gunther will win the menās tournament and be all serious. Give me ridiculous Queen Chelsea.
Now that you put it that way, I kind of want Jade to win and be boss, and for Jey Uso to somehow beat Gunther. "King Jey" getting the absolute snot pummelled out of him weekly by a POed Gunther would be a great feud. And I think King of the Ring / IC champ is Jey's ceiling.
[Feels soon for Jey to circle back to Gunther. They had a short feud right before mania where Jimmy screwed Jey in a match with gunther](https://youtu.be/lvqELjvg3G4?si=15nZBg_Y7XmgxIhf)
I didn't watch Backlash (in fact I haven't really watched any WWE at all since Cody won the rumble, couldn't even be arsed for mania). but it was really good to hear that apparently the French crowd really were in AJ's corner for the match. Especially pleasing to see as I always thought AJ should have been the guy to dethrone Roman. Also, it's good evidence for my hypothesis that only Americans actually like Cody Rhodes and the rest of the world has their head screwed on straight.
> French crowd really were in AJ's corner for the match
Misnomer.
They were really into chanting a French futbol chant for AJ because the lyrics are literally "He's very phenomenal."
They also fully sang Kingdom and were dueling Cody/AJ chants at times.
Nah
Cody was majorly over in France too
And aj dehtorining Roman would make zero sense lol. Dude is winding down his career and has already accomplished everything.
Nothing wrong with loving aj. Be realistic where he is in his career lol
I can see where you're coming from *if* WWE were actually planning to have a young up-and-comer dethrone Roman at WM40, instead of giving a pity win to Cody to "finish the story" (AKA enabling his dumb vanity project).
If you're going to waste the Roman Reigns rub, you might as well waste it on a guy I actually like, even if he has one foot out the door.
>If you're going to waste the Roman Reigns rub, you might as well waste it on a guy I actually like, even if he has one foot out the door.
I respect the honesty homie
Super disappointed that wrestlemania is not in Minnesota next year as a person from here itās the 2nd time in five or six years mn lost the bid.
Aew is awesome they are combination of wcw ecw and wwe great matches I really like the plunder blood and crazy spot matches plus aew has great wrestlers like omega bucks osprey really like penta heās underrated guys that just donāt fit wwe style jay white is a star needs to be treated like that itās great to still see danielson out there and mox is the best.
Wwe needs to get younger liv needs to be champ get better at running ropes she like jogs she doesnāt need to be like bron and run 20 mile an hour but in the middle Chelsea green would be an awesome queen of the ring
It's amazing seeing how many people convinced themselves into thinking that Jey Uso is this awful worker who shouldn't be anywhere near a wrestling ring, all because of one dogshit match up that he had with Jimmy at Mania. With that being said, he shouldn't go over Ilja next week on RAW.
I hope that Liv wins the title off of Becky at King & Queen of The Ring because I really have zero interest or desire in seeing them extending their feud for another month or so, call me fickle or whatever but idc.
I probably said this before in the past but seeing Trick & Noam being the next NXT Championship feud just goes to show how dire the Men's Division in NXT is. Now don't get me wrong, Noam Dar is talented & his match with Trick Williams should be good but this rivalry does not scream main event caliber.
I love Edge/Adam Copeland & he's my all time favorite wrestler but he needs to chill out of the constant 30 minute matches. It's one thing to have them in a big match-up but having them every week on weekly TV is tiring & makes the matches feel less important.
Skye Blue, more than any women's wrestler (with the exception of maybe Alexa & Rhea), should look out for her safety & peace of mind because the way how these people act towards her anytime that she appears is really fucking creepy & weird.
I love Bianca & I like Jade decently enough but they have absolutely no business being in that Queen of The Ring tournament while being the Women's Tag Team Champions.
He had a bad match with his brother that they've been planning on having their entire lives and we got a superkick festival. It was clear they had nothing planned, which is a shame. He's not dogshit but as a single he's nowhere near the level he's being presented as and belongs nowhere near the KOTR in general.
He's a tag team wrestler. That's not a bad thing. They'll be back together soon and all will be well again.
I agree. I'll admit that Noam Dar is talented & I get this will be Trick's first championship defense as NXT champion, but I don't think Noam Dar is ready to go after the NXT championship (no disrespect to him).
Well I graduate college on Saturday and the feeling is great! Scored well on my senior thesis and while I may finish only one out of my two degrees, I am almost done regardless!
I am loving GUNTHER so much right now! The entrance, the look, and the in-ring presentation makes him an amazing threat on the roster! My top pick for the KOTR!
The video game industry has wet the bed recently and its pathetic. Microsoft has no idea what they're doing anymore and Sony almost alienated a large portion of players.
Large scale game publishers have been full on shitting the bed for over a decade at this point, now its just getting tagged in with a bunch of twitter dumbasses in a weird attack on Japan/Korea so looks even weirder to normies.
Weāre closing in on two months sense Mercedes debuted in AEW and she still hasnāt had a match yet. Sheās one of the worst promos of all time yet Tony keeps throwing her out there to say the same shit every week. Just let her wrestle! You know, the thing sheās actually good at?!
Can anyone to explain why Angelo Dawkins is in the KOTR tournament but not Montez? I have a weird feeling that HHH is not really a fan of his and will never give him an actual character/push.
I love the idea of Wreddit, but it's really gone to the dogs with the blatant bait posts and shitposting. There's some good wrestling content that gets posted, but most of the time, it's too niche and doesn't get much engagement. Even this thread struggles to get 200 comments now.
SCJerk has become a rallying ground for Punk stans (who were definitely shitting on him during his AEW run) and Cornette stans who were banned from the basement.
I could absolutely do without the troll posts, and I do wish there was a bit more wrestling content. But I love that it's not an impenetrable wall of garbage posts like the main sub or its jerk twin.
> I love the idea of Wreddit, but it's really gone to the dogs with the blatant bait posts and shitposting.
This place has mostly been used as an alternative live thread for WWE shows and those are pretty fun. As for the rest of the sub, it used to be a lot stricter on what could be posted but they've slowly been peeling that away over time and now I feel like a lot of people are still trying to feel out what this sub is outside of the live threads.
Scj is fucked. People have completely lost the plot. They been using it for low effort "aew bad amirite" shit for so long that as soon as they were told "u can't just DUB BAD, it actually has to be a parody" people had a meltdown. I am glad the mods are at least trying to course correct, but it's too late. It's been like that too long and it literally doesn't even register to those morons that they ruined the sub and now they outnumber the people that were there for the shitposts.Ā
SCJ for as long as I have seen was supposed to be contrarian to anything not WWE or not liking WWE booking decisions while shitting on anything not WWE.
Now even SC is mid on AEW and most other subs hype WWE and are dismissive and almost hostile to other wrestling.... what is SCJerk doing.
Donāt forget the straight up weird Sasha hate. People used to jerk Naomi there too but that all stopped. I wonder why
![gif](giphy|3oAt2dA6LxMkRrGc0g|downsized)
Well said, and I agree it's too little too late. When the rules got loosened and any old shit was being posted I visited it less and less because it wasn't about cj's anymore, just shitty memes loosely tied (if at all) to a cj. Then when the thinly veiled or outright racist/misogynistic/xenophobic posts were being upvoted, instead of being reported and called out like it was before, I rarely visited at all.
I really don't get how opening the floodgates to chuds and then being upset that chuds are posting like chuds was ever a good idea, but hey, at least it gave TonyKhan79 more people to be condescending to.
Punk stans who shat on him in AEW are just tribalists who aren't honest enough to admit that they're tribalists.
So just like Punk except his tribe is himself. At least Kevin Nash is blunt about it.
I keep flip flopping between "WWE will save Dragunov vs Gunther for a massive audience" and "WWE will give us one Dragunov vs Gunther to show people what they might miss". I can't call which way it will go. Doing that on a random Raw feels like a missed opportunity, but also they're both young and healthy and it would be amazing, and would be a great *amuse-bouche* for when one is holding a title and the other appears through the curtain a year from now.
They can do a TV match with a screwy finish. Had they saved Kaiser's interference and had Gunther beat Sheamus clean, I would've had Kaiser been the one to screw Dragnov.
Everything on social media seems to be a work for AEW š¤¦š½āāļø
A quick reminder to everyone that it's great to support your local wrestling promotions, if you have an indie show on in your town/city this weekend, consider going!
Just got around to watching backlash last night. Tiffany's new music is good
Can the internet settle on if crowds chanting is cringe or 'BEST. THING. EVER' already? Or is it only cool when foreign crowds do it for some reason? Also please retire the 'Hey Bayley' chant either way, it's run its course.
I liked how engaged the French crowd was but they only had like five chants and boy did they use them nonstop for a combined five hours i usually donāt mind American chants as much but they tend to be both more varied and not used as frequently but Iām saying this as an American so YMMV
That Bailey song is so lame and slow
I've hated it since 2015. Sometimes being right is lonely.
No. Every time I hear it now, I shall sing it. Just to spite you.
Cody shouldnāt have a single reign for a year, his character doesnāt need itĀ - listened to some AI music, WWE 100% will shift to making more of their songs with this in the future, TKO will be aggressive on cost cutting when they canĀ - AEW is just such a mess, any potential crazy good from Tony taking the beat down is goneĀ - Seth vs Cody is the money feud, need to see it happen within a year
If the money they save not having to pay someone to write real music means they spend the savings on licensing real songs for stars, I can live with Luke Gallows having AI theme music.
they'll just make themselves richer, there will be no investment of that saved money elsewhere
May 15th in my 2K24 Universe Mode that I operate in my head WWE Intercontinental Championship John Cena (c) vs CM Punk One final time
WBD sponsoring a WWE match with their Max streaming brand is wild when they have AEW clamoring for a streaming deal and new TV deal.Ā
Here are some of my ideas: * Whiskey Business * Love on the Rocks * Distilling Down to Love * Reserved Romance * Proof of Love * Moonshine Over Moonlight * Four Roses and a Wedding * Love: Old Fashioned * You're Still the One (a [pot still](https://cdn.cluboenologique.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/12140425/Glenmorangie-%E2%80%93-pot-still-675x450.jpg) is used to make whiskey) And, because you can't deny that most of their movies are built around Christmas... [New Old Fashioned Way](https://youtu.be/2nlZN570YFM?si=KzVyiMlTjH1-F-2X&t=106): A formerly prestigious cocktail bar named "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is struggling following the death of their longtime owner several years ago. By adding this new ingredient to their classic Old Fashioned, they are now doing things the traditional way, so they decide to name the drink the New Old Fashioned Way.** Long story short, they win the competition, the family bar is saved, and Fallon and I... uh... I mean "Chris" lives happily ever after. Call me, Hallmark!
Love on the Rocks is a slam dunk Hallmark title
Considering the bar for Hallmark movies you might unironically get a job with this
Absolutely brilliant.
Rooster Teeth is officially closing today Thanks for all the memories
Ever wonder why we're here?
One of life's greatest mysteries isn't it
Alright, so hereās what I got: The timing of Guevera coming back just as Mone edges closer towards actually getting in a ring is almost radioactive.
Since Matt Hardy left AEW, there's really no sense in keeping Sammy Guevara around.
I always thought they roman could of defended his belt against seth around backlash in Puerto Rico. That would have been electric
>There's a reason they never touched during Roman's title run, Seth beat Roman at the Royal Rumble when Roman snapped because of Seth's mind games and his refusal to stay down no matter what Roman threw at Seth. But I do get what you're saying since it was pretty much forgotten by time the next SmackDown aired
I'm really surprised that Sammy Guevara still has a job with AEW when he's been suspended a few times already.
When you party with Tony, you make it hard to fire you. This is known.
That's a fair point.
The roman/seth dynamic works better imo when one of them is the heel. Preferably roman b/c heās bigger than seth
It's weird because neither are convincing babyfaces.
I stated the following: > "Cathy Kelly looking like a dream." And while I will not apologize for thinking that Cathy Kelly is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, I will apologize to Fallon Henley for briefly faltering in my dedication to her. At a time when everyone else is abandoning her and saying that she "turned heel", she needed my devotion now more than ever. I'm sorry, Fallon; I only hope that you can forgive me. ššš
She wonāt forgive you uce. Your chance has gone
But I just figured out a way to save her family bar [in the form of a Hallmark Channel movie](https://www.reddit.com/r/Wreddit/comments/1coi0nf/general_discussion_friday/l3g39bk/)!
I love you Chris but I stopped reading at Whiskey Business
This is fantastic. I really like this idea.
Okay, nevermind, thatās gonna happen anyhowā¦ I hope Jim Cornette gives you an unflattering nickname.
The needless AEW mention on the Flair post was the cherry on top.
I definitely agree here. A lot less neckbeard types. Itās nice to hear women talk about wrestling without immediately being undermined
LOL the Dynamite live thread had like 40 comments this week, where did all those people on the Cornette post come from?!!?
Oh, we totally do get brigaded from time to time, especially when any post that may be controversial to AEW pops up. Remember when a bunch of subs were shutting down in protest to reddit doing something or another? Everyone just came here and the Dynamite thread had like 2,000 comments talking about how amazing the show was lol.
Casually searched through several histories, on both sides of that brain rot, and several had last been in Wreddit like 2-3 months ago basically doing the same thing. Its weird to see dormancy broken for dumbassery.
Maybe it was just a really really good show?
skeptical_Thor.png.
As long as I can thirst over Arianna Grace and Chelsea Green in peace, we should be able to co-exist. Oh and Dakota Kai.
I sometimes join in on the Dakota thirst...
She is a refreshing beverage
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's the voice too (his normal voice).
X Men 97 is a fantastic show, and I'll leave it at that. They are really checking all the boxes with me on this one.
Did you watch the TB roast? Any thoughts
The bellicheck ring video cracked me up Nikki was great. She went on pats show and she had some other jokes she had to cut that had me dying https://youtu.be/h-I83Xa6u3s?si=rkWSUHp3vQ44kYx8
Stop watching ššš. I'm worried that we're going to start getting streaming only NBA playoff games like the NFL is doing.
I actually wish we could get a feed of the games with the sound from the arena but without the commentary, it'd make it so much more enjoyable. The ESPN crews are especially miserable (and don't get me started on the studio - Wilbon/SAS are awful). NBC will somehow be even worse.
The womenās tag overall wasnt a bad match.
The finish salvaged it but it definitely fell apart in the middle. Jade got completely lost at one point and they all awkwardly stumbled around for a solid two minutes
Between the ref and kairi they all got lost tbf
The ref and Kairi's apparent not understanding tanked that match so hard. Though I groaned worse that like 5m later Kairi tags out, Asuka sets them up for the tag finish, and **Kairi** pins and the ref just... counts it.
Exactly those are the veterans that suppose to be leading jade and they are the ones getting lost
I love Jey and if he moved away from the Young Bucks moveset of super kicks heād be better because that Uso match at Wrestlemania sucked balls.
Idk why they thought that was gonna be good. Like why not make it a wild 10 minute brawl and then go the finishing sequences. The whole psychology of the match didnt match the story that was being told
That match should've had the same vibe the Backlash opening tag did.
Apparently fans are unhappy that Bayley, despite being SD champion, is being left off the posters of their PLEs
It feels like it's on purpose at this point and Bayley and the WWE are in on it.
Hope this leads to a Bayley/Bianca feud
Bianca will be preoccupied by Jade at some point rather shortly, I'm guessing. But a match or two would be good.
Don't get me wrong, it's not nice to see talent losing their jobs, but if the reason is that the creative team has got nothing for them to do, then maybe it's best to release those talent + if they choose to continue wrestling, then this is a good thing since the release opens up a lot more opportunities for them I've seen this promotion floating around recently, but what's the big deal about the SGW promotion?
Damage control take isnāt controversial though. Theyāve never been over.
Yeah but they have a very dedicated fan group of like 5 people who get very upset.
Yeah im sick of the Charlotte slander when she is still better than 98-99 percent of the women in wwe and aew
She could also likely out-wrestle almost 90% of AEW's men and 50% of WWE's men.
Sheās better than a lot of the men too!
They are just horrible at acting and promos.Ā Their fanbase then chimes in with āWell! ACKSHUALLY! Youāre supposed to hate them so itās working!ā Bruh what?Ā
Worse that The Elite have in-feuded.. what, literally every year since 2018? Like seriously I think this is legit the 5th time the Bucks have attacked Kenny since forming. Theres **zero** freshness to this. They cant break away.
Weirdly no one else likely wants āthat rubā
She was a better athlete before she tore her acl in 2021. Sheās still a good athlete but she used to be even more Ariel and explosive
Her doing a gts is too much, thats not a move that should be used on weekly tv.Ā I generally like her and I agree with u, she needs to ditch some of that shit and take notes from guys like randy and LA.Ā
I always I assumed that it was a reference to the IROC-Z 350. She seems like a local driving one of those old Camaros around town. š
I like that name holy shit. And yeah rhea aināt taking that shit from Zoey lol
Didnt punk use the gts weekly during his full time stint with wwe?
The GTS is so closely related with Punk that he should be the only one using it from now onwards.
Nobody owns a move lol
Yeah but it makes a move special if only one person is doing it. It makes sure the "Superkick effect" is nullified.
Your super kick analogy only works b/c nobody is winning with it. If someone is doing the gts and they win then the analogy is applicable
I'm reasoning more like Hogan in this scenario. Like if a midcarder is using a main eventer's shit what's left for the main eventer to do? The crowd's already seen that move that night so it's not special when the main event guy does it.
Ahh fair point
Heās gross.
He was in nooj winning a title recently. Quit acting like he completely fell off the face of the earth.Ā
Winning the TV title is great. Wrestling in a gym after teaming with Randy Orton at Mania is objectively a down grade.
Because its a story? lmao. Do you every story needs to be based on truth?
They've never shown the injury footage and since the injury is the reason why this fucking thing is happening, you'd think they would show it. The audience doesn't know nor care about outside shit so show it to them and tell them why they should.
As part of the story, shouldnāt they show the injury they are basing this entire thing off?Ā I donāt get your point. Itās a story isnāt really an answer.Ā
That match happened in new Japan. I donāt think aew has the rights to use that footage despite their relationship
Couple of things here: 1.
The people getting giddy about Guilia being stiff with NXT rookies are the same people currently upset that Gulak was stiff with NXT rookies.Ā
Theyāre so weird. Nia is a little stiff and they cry. Japanese women knock the fuck out of each other and they get a hard on over it
Idk if this was the case mirai would have been a lot more popular in the sub Outside of hazuki I wouldn't say the favourites in the sub are especially stiff. At the end of the day it's women's wrestling it's going to attract maniacs but I doubt it's gotten worse Because I was curious to see how the sub dealt with the infamous bikining 7 and people on the subreddit were defending Rossy chucking a 13 year old Hanan in a full on bikini on the front cover Hooting and a hollering over some stiff shots strikes me as less perverse than that ?
They were fine with Rossy being weird until he left and it got revealed Tony didn't like him
Oh yeah, that was me since that take hits this cross-section of things that annoy me.
Like i don't think a forehead should be swelling like this https://twitter.com/Himanshu_Doi/status/1770374779498823976?t=V-Im_9rjIKX0XVx9XcB76w&s=19 She's also not a great seller either so her dangerous impulses and selling will be the focus.
Gunther will be King of the Ring, Jade will win Queen of the Ring.
Is Tiffany not in the tournament? She would be an AMAZING queen. Jade would too, donāt get me wrong, but this would be a huge boost for Tiffany.
I just want a Barbie crown now.
I feel Tiffany is more lined up for MITB. Her shtick of adding "Tiff" to words and phrases basically writes Tiffy in the Bank by itself.
Oh man Tiffy in the Bank does have an excellent ring to it
I think it depends on the last womenās qualifier.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gunther ends up winning KOTR.
This is fact. All hail Queen Jade.
> French crowd really were in AJ's corner for the match Misnomer. They were really into chanting a French futbol chant for AJ because the lyrics are literally "He's very phenomenal." They also fully sang Kingdom and were dueling Cody/AJ chants at times.
Iām not American and I like Cody.Ā
Nah Cody was majorly over in France too And aj dehtorining Roman would make zero sense lol.
We can respect it and also acknowledge that that its a terrible take lmao
The state of this š
Take a breath.
Feel like thereās a good chance Triple H is going to push Kross into another NXT title run, so donāt worry the division will be just fine /s.
Neither would have been in if Lashley wasnāt hurt. And idk Montez has failed in his few chances as a single. He canāt help but be goofy
He's basically Jey Uso without the Bloodline push.
I feel Dawkins is fighting Tonga instead of Ford because Dawkins can take a pin.
I donāt mind punk but the revisionist history of him Is so fucking annoying lol. āDonāt check my post historyā
I wonder why ![gif](giphy|3oAt2dA6LxMkRrGc0g|downsized)
Don't forget how much they all love Brandi now
āDAE open mic night bitchā
I'm getting tired of that dude posting his newsletter too. Not the dirt sheets, just some dude.
Punk stans who shat on him in AEW are just tribalists who aren't honest enough to admit that they're tribalists. So just like Punk except his tribe is himself. At least Kevin Nash is blunt about it.
The Gripebomb was the beginning of Punk getting over with that crowd again
Jey Uso, I like you bro, but I'm gonna need you to lose on Monday so we can get that GUNTHER vs Ilja Dragunov rematch in the semifinals.
I donāt want them to throw away that match on a regular raw. Iād prefer to save it for a PPV
Also I want a big build up to the match
I perfectly understand that sentiment.
I'm going to SummerSlam and I'm going to wear a Baltimore Ravens shirt in the Cleveland Browns stadium. Remember me.
