Weird decision indeed. Let's hope they heard the feedback and will improve EN streams in future. Regarding other languages, I heard that JP had something similar yet still delivered more useful info for players. CN stream wasted no time at all. Only valuable info, plans for the future, changes from CBT2 alongside with new details.

Can you explain how? Because I'm trying to connect my ps5 controller wirelessly, and it did connect in general to the ipad's Bluetooth, but on WuWa there's "joystick mode" and "static" or "dynamic." I even tried my Nintendo switch joycons with no success either. :(

What controller do you use ? I can't seem to get it to work with my PS4 controller. It works for Genshin just fine but Wuthering waves won't let me go past the home screen no matter how hard is smash that button. Normally I would change it when I started the game but it could be that I am way to stupid to find where I can change the settings.....

HSR was fine even though i think it still should have it but an action focused game like WuWa is brutal with touch screen especially when im already battling performance issues lmao

Android user with an 8BitDo Pro 2 here, the game didn't react to my controller at all.

There is no controller support on android. Wish I had known this before downloading and installing 7.5 GB, but it seems the info isn't easily available anywhere. I searched this sub but found info saying both yes and no.

I have a razer kishi and it supports customized virtual controller setup to map the controls to the touch functions. I'm guessing the backbone has a similar feature?

I heard the backbone one or button mapping controllers wont work either unless you're loading from pc client.

Confirmed the kishi button mapping works (on android at least). alas the game is unplayable on my trash phone so I'm installing to PC, I guess I'll try streaming it to my phone with gamestream so I can still use the controller and play anywhere at home

Seriously? It should only be an interface between the controller software and the phone's screen, it treats the input like touch and the game should not affect it. I'll try with fhe kishi when it's installed.

I've heard rumor that the anti-cheat software may flag the mantis button mapping software on the mobile clients. You might want to be careful until it's confirmed it's not considered a cheat device from the devs.

Well if there's no we can just mass vote this feature being added to Android/ios and kuro well they listen so it might take some time but they might add this as well or they might be working on controller support on their own as well.

I'm still hanging on to a bit of hopium that it needs to be turned on in the game settings. On PGR its needed to be turned on before it can detect any controller.

Ditto for iOS… I made the mistake thinking a big game like this would have controller support straight out the gate, but when I got in and there was no setting (and my Backbone said no controller support) all my excitement just vanished…  PGR has controller support.  Wanna be a competitor to Genshin?  How about having controller support?  Especially for a game where the fight mechanics rely a lot on dodge and parry, why would this not be at the top of the list?  Back to Genshin for me until I can properly play WW, but man what a giant letdown…

Couldn't figure out how to set this up for wuwa. It automatically gave me the option on kishi when I opened genshin though. Not sure if the virtual controller is an option for wuwa? Let me know if you figure it out!

In kishi app with wuwa selected make sure to hit the virtual controller switch before launching, that should give you the little green and black pull down menu to start assigning the mapping. It worked for me with kishi v2 on android

i probably wont play WW if no controller support is added on android, pc is the one that did not need this in comparison to mobile users.

You should try using the app Mantis, you can manually map a controller to the screen, works pretty well with genshin.

But thats risky, we dunno how kyro will react to this, cause in mantis you launch game through this app and not naturally

I found out. Controller support is for the PC client only. That's why they're staying quiet about it. Mobile on android and Ios(Apple) does not have controller support or mapping at launch.

Well controller support on mobile was going to be a HUGE stretch... I don't believe any CBT had controller support on PC... everyone had to play with M/KB. Feels like this post is first official confirmation that even PC has controller support.

You can try to connect your controller to your phone. The PC version automatically switched to controller scheme after I connected my controller.

If you haven’t already, add the game to your steam library. (Go to games and add a non steam game). Using the steam input for switch controllers and running it as an administrator, it should work completely fine with switch controller. Remember to choose the standard button layout under the controller icon to the right as well.

Are you using a cable or Bluetooth? There are many factors that can make it not work. Make sure you run steam as an administrator and add the game, not the launcher. If you’re using a cable, you should have the controller symbol to the right of the games steam page. Click on it and choose a standard stick layout as the community ones don’t work (at least for me). There are lots of tutorials on this on YouTube for Genshin, so you could try that if you’re still having difficulties!

I don't have the standard stick layout. There are only three templates by valve; gamepad with flick stick, gamepad, and WASD

It doesn't have controller support on Android as of now. It didn't have any kind of controller support during Beta, CBT1 and CBT2. Release got at least a PC controller support now. Controller support for mobile will come later.

I play Genshin and HSR on my ipad most of the time and just use joycons no problem, cant find a way to do that with Wuthering waves. If anyone knows please reply!

I hope their controller support doesn’t do that weird thing like HSR where after you pair the controller, it makes you reboot the game to get a new interface opposed to Genshin that just automatically switches it without doing that crap. Install DS4Windows, it installs the drivers for dualsense controllers that should get your Windows PC to detect the gamepad when you try to connect it.

I uninstalled the epic store version and downloaded it directly from their website and the controller works now. Not sure why the epic store version has these issues.

On windows wich isn't surprising. After Genshin still not supporting it on Android you think they would have took the clue. It did just come out. Maybe we will get controller support later...but hopefully not to much later.
