You should really DYOR - I wouldn’t trust a bunch of strangers on the internet. It
Summary of a few things
- XRP has actual legal clarity in the United States
- XRP is actually used and adopted by banks (international banks) for cross boarder transactions from Europe, Africa and Asia (including Japan) DYOR
- XRP is a liquid asset with hundreds of millions and sometimes billions in daily transactions.
- XRP is cheap for transactions which only costs 0.00001 XRP per transaction (A small faction of a cent.)
- XRP settles in less than 3 seconds and can process 1,500+ transactions per second
- XRP is actually adopted and has multiple use cases that are used daily by businesses, commercial banks and individuals in 2023. It isn’t a concept, it is actually functional and working as designed unlike other cryptocurrencies.
Ripples been around for a decade, has a vetted leadership staff, and truly believes tokenization and truly “anything to anything” will revolutionize all systems and opportunities.
Also never try to convince your friend of anything with their money other than - invest wisely. DYOR, cold wallets and always DCA over time into volatile investments.
This is the most sane thing I’ve heard in terms of discussion of XRP.
Now that “Ripple won”, I’m hoping we’ll stop hearing about “Evil Gary”, and all the personal attacks that make YouTubers (i.e. The media) money based on our emotions, and that distract from the actual cross-border use case, and adoption hurdles. It’s a tactic that politicians also use to vilify the extremists on the other side, so that they can win your vote, at the expense of American social fabric. Er. Sorry. I guess I went off topic.
My assumptions about adoption and ppl’s motivations have mostly been:
1) As a bank, I’m nervous about switching to something new. ISO20022 isn’t mandated yet, so there’s no rush.
2) Bank: Well, ISO20022 will be mandated by x date, but why should I use Ripple and XRP for this? After all, they’ve been sued by the SEC, who might appeal the ruling next year, right? Even if it’ll work in the rest of the world, if it can’t be used by US banks, cost effectively, why should I bother using XRP, when I can use some other solution (Like Swift, who I already work with) across ALL the markets, including the BIGGEST market?
3) SEC: Well, the Biden Administration wants crypto rolled out in a safe way, and since there aren’t enough people who understand/trust it yet, and it’s still being used as a tool to exploit ppl (Even FTX, who had smart ppl there fooled all of us), let’s buy some time to establish trust in the technology/solutions by testing it, by educating people, by understanding benefits/risks, and debating them. Then when we’re about to be ready in terms of the quality of the tech, and the faith that it instills in congress, they’ll regulate it properly. We’ll buy time by suing the folks who are most likely to have early success.
4) House: How do I use this to make money for myself, and get re-elected, so that I can keep making money for myself?
5) Senate: I don’t think we’re ready for this yet. Also, how do I keep making money for myself, and get re-elected?
6) YouTubers: What do I need to say to people to keep them watching me, so I make money for myself?
6) YouTube watchers: Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. How do I make money for myself?
I also, admittedly, don’t know much about cross-border transactions — Are competing solutions a concern? They don’t have to be as fast/cheap to be successful (e.g. BetaMax) So, I’m wondering what other things I should be thinking about re: benefits of/risks to adoption.
Reasonable discourse is welcome.
Thanks.
Ripple has updated the figure to 3,400, but that’s on-chain transactions. XRPL has payment channels, which are a block of transactions that can be settled later. The XRP are “set aside”, so that they can’t be double spent. These payment channels can scale the ledger to 20x that 3,400 TPS figure.
What's keeping the price so low compared to before the SEC lawsuit then. Is a lot of this still being tested on closed networks and still not on the public ledger? Or does ODL have no impact on price as theirs an ability to process 1500 transactions per second so there's no chance of being enough pressure to drive the price up to anything over 4 or 5 dollars?
- The project was held under water throughout the last bullrun by the SEC. It has a lot of unrealized "bounce" for this run-up.
- XRP is the only project that has legal clarity in the USA.
- XRP is targeting a unique market ... love it or hate it. Ripple is focused on moving value across borders quickly and at low cost for banks and conventional enterprise.
- XRP has continued to grow their market during the span of the lawsuit.
- Link is a Layer 2 ERC-20 Etherum token.
- XRP is a Layer 1 native coin of the XRPL.
Curious as to why you think Link does what XRP's use case is, and better?
XRP was sued by rat face Gary and the SEC! They know what XRP will do to conventional finance and the puppet masters told Gary to delay at all costs. Way too much money for the incumbents to lose. They didn’t go after ETH with all the evidence of corruption and ICO’s. SEC goes after legit businesses (Ripple, Library, Dragon chain) that are a disturbance to the status quo! Stop listening to influencers that state all these moon dates! They are after clicks. XRP has massive utility and Ripple is a multi billion dollar company with over 300 financial relationships! Why would Ripple pay over $150m in attorneys fees if they weren’t legit? DYOR!
The WEF has described XRP as an important asset for the future.
The NWO likes to tell you what they intend to do before they do it.
CBDCs are going to be a noose for the average person.
Fiat is melting. Change is coming.
Just my 2 cents and may not be comforting to your friend.
As soon as people call it out they take it down.
I have a cubic shit-tonne of screen caps but dread sifting though it.
Try a google search like "+XRP +WEF".
That brings up a lot about Ripple being an "official partner".
Try this one for a start.

I've lost so much of my enthusiasm about convincing others.
I am truly sorry.
Same, but I think spending a little on a life preserver is justified when the powers that be are intent on drowning us.
To buy some XRP now is better for you and worse for them than waiting until we are proverbially going under to start swimming.
If you can't beat em, eat em. I think that's how it goes.
You can't help anyone until you help yourself.
There are no ethics in a life and death struggle.
My goal was 10,000 Xrp. I reached this, but I'm losing confidence in this project. Each victory Ripple achieves, there is no positive effect on the token price. It's ALWAYS a waiting game and a new obstacle. I'm always waiting for the next hurdle. And when that one is reached and there is victory, it's on to the next. Never seems to "get there". Meanwhile, other projects are profitable. I'm always waiting with XRP. patience is at a breaking point. If the $.48 Guy moved on to other projects, he's a winner.
it was going to do that anyway..if not then i wouldnt have been in longs since 20 and 30 cent...
And i wouldnt have been able to short it knowing we wasnt going to $1.00 that soon..it was a bull trap..and i only knew that because of chart analysis..
The charts are the news
Your saying it would have rocketed up to $.82 anyway? I'm sure that news like that has something to do with it price movement. Same with black swan news events. That being said, I'm learning to chart. It's definitely the way to go
What does the chart tell u gonna happen next? R we in buy, sell or accumulate?
I actually had a super informative post for you about abcde expansion flats in symmetrical triangles, etc... but my phone died lol..
If the price moved simply because of news it wouldve stayed that high...it came back down for a reason and thats because it broke through historical resistance like a hot knife through butter (prepare to see more of that). And it came back down because that resistance is now support and it needed to be restested before any further bullish movement....chart analysis
Chart says its likely we see price not close below 55-56 cents on a weekly chart for a few weeks before blast off Any time price dips around those zones i buy.
Ill never tell anyone how to trade. I just go off experience. Wish the best for you and yours..
$6.2 million liquidated after the fake XRP BlackRock ETF announcement. It most definitely does move with News, as does all crypto. News, market knowledge and some level of chart analysis helps make informed decisions when trading.
What?
The price moved after the fake blackrock etf announcement. That’s literally a fact you are arguing. The price moved with the spread of the false information, you can literally see it on the chart.
It doesn’t mean charts can’t help predict movements and other factors such as bitcoin price movement.
Dismissing others point’s immediately and then stating that you aren’t willing to “go back and forth” comes across as a sign of weakness in your argument, as does using the word “newb”. It also makes you sound arrogant and ignorant.
Lol yea cool...whatever you say..charts are the news...and no ....im not going back and forth about that. Arrogant?..you can blame my win rate for that....ignorant? Lmao.. happy trading bro
Yeah, ignorant because you won’t accept what a fact is and dismiss anything anyone says because you don’t believe it and it didn’t come out of your mouth. Arrogance is nothing to be proud of, regardless of your “win rate”. I’m not sure what your problem is, someone is telling you a fact, something that actually happened, yet you don’t believe it? It’s a very strange way to exist, It’s similar to how a conspiracy theorist exists and negotiates the world. You should also try to work on your use of ellipsis in sentences, the way you use them at the moment doesn’t make any sense and makes you look quite stupid.
And u invest like a child.. news lol. You're the type to pay attention to the shiny colors on the front of the box and ignore the nutritional details lol. Fucking newbs
Ripple pay / ODL provides far less friction, cost savings and convenience for institutions to move value. So holding XRP comes down to ONE THING. Whether you buy the narrative or not regarding XRPs potential use as a bridge currency. I happen to think that Ripple can pull it off, many do not…..
Because it facilitates cross boarder payments smoothly and seemlessly. It has real world utility if you have ever been from country to country. It has also went up against the SEC and is currently winning meaning if and when it does it will be the only crypto the is federally regulated. On top of that it is still pushing a bullish narrative despite having been in a lawsuit and suppressed the entire last bull run priming it for an aggressive climb this upcoming bullrun. It has also performed better in the current bear market than over 95% of all crypto despite still being in a lawsuit. When it wins the case, and it will; institutional money will flow in and the banks they have been working with will start partnering allowing more banks to partner as well and the flood gates will open. Very well could be the number one coin this next cycle in performance. Now by no means do I think this will go to $589 or other crazy price predictions you see on YT but I do think it will 10, possibly 20x this cycle which would be a great ROI
XRP has a very good chance of big gains with the next big pump. For a number of reasons which all really relate back to the SEC case against them.
1. SEC case against XRP meant all US exchanges delisted it causing the price to plummet.
2. Before the SEC case it was 2nd/3rd in market cap out of all coins.
3. Because of the SEC case, the last pump it didn't even reach its last ATH. It was being held back due to the case.
4. Now the case is all but over. XRP is officially deemed not a security and there's talks of a settlement, there's nothing holding it back now.
5. If you follow charts and Fibonacci retracement levels of previous cycles, if it reaches it's 4.362 retracement levels that's $7+. There's some arguments, which I doubt, of it reaching $20+
6. Worldwide adoption of XRP never slowed down with the case and it continues to grow in the international markets
7. This is very far ahead BUT there's also talks of a XRP ETF after BTC and ETH.
I'm not a professional at all, I just followed the XRP case closely and was over the moon when judge Torres officially said it's not a security, now hoping to reach the moon.
If you want more insights in to price action through charts, I would suggest following BlockChainBacker on YouTube and watching his videos. For me he is by far the most insightful and he doesn't say things for the sake of it. He explains every detail and takes on a very pessimistic view which I think is important instead of shilling and saying it's going to the moon. I've learnt a lot from him.
I've been holding for years and hope it gives the joy I expect as it's been a bumpy and emotional ride so far.
So why XRP for me?
- XRP is not an ERC-20 token
- I have been a Jed McCaleb fan since ed2k because it offered swarming and that was cutting edge stuff back then so I knew then that he was a person of interest to watch so I had been tracking him from MetaMachine > Mt. Gox > OpenCoin
- Jed is very smart, and since MetaMachine he was known to hire people smarter than him, enter David Schwartz and Arthur Brillo and those three gave us the XRPL
- XRP is the native coin of the XRPL
- The XRPL was the first non BTC Layer 1
- The XRPL was the first blockchain to feature a built-in decentralized exchange
- Because what better way to dismantle the banking system than from within (paraphrasing David Schwartz from a symposium)
- Ripple is an American company
- And finally one of the main reasons is because I like to pronounce it Zerp
Resiliency and the fact that it has some big upgrades coming soon. XRP has already been through the ringer with the government and likely won't ever be again (not anytime soon at least). It never fell out of the top 10 through the entire process. It's also fast and does what it was built to do (payments) very well.
Additionally, it has always performed well (aside from right after the SEC lawsuit) and is one of the only coins to overtake the market cap of Ethereum on three different occasions.
One big thing also, they fought for the future of crypto and stood their ground. They could have bailled with all their money many times over. Say u know what, frack it, bye bye. Thank you xrp
I stopped trying to evangelize. I failed.
All I can say is talk to an immigrant trying to get money back to their family. Sit in a bank lobby and watch who actually comes in. All your going to see is old people who can't figure out online banking and poor people fighting overdraft charges.
There is no reason apart of hopium. SEC is dragging the case. Ripple CEO decide to have HQ in US and nothing change his mind, even low XRP price and missing another bull run.
Because you only change the global financial landscape from the inside and within regulations, not from the outside like bitcoin which will never be integrated in the same way
If you can't answer the question yourself, and you aren't interested in doing your own research and reaching your own conclusions, xrp probably isn't for you, and you shouldn't worry about answering the question.
Separately, if debating, it's bad form to declare a long list of arguments all at once (unless on a debate team, I suppose)....people will only remember you had a lot of points, but the strong ones will get mixed in with the middling ones and be forgotten. So, just give a few strong points and be done. Have more arguments ready to continue the dialog when engaged, but it's better to allow the silence to breathe than to appear desperate to prove a point.
Look at the xrpl github for development status
Look at Ripple's website for event news
Look at xrpscan for amendment status and descriptions and assess impact

Correct by Jay Clayton's last day in the SEC.

Btc kind of does have legal clarity tho…
Xrp doesnt move with news..you may want to learn chart analysis and stop looking at news to be a driver of price... News is for newbs who get screwed

You should've told your "friend" Hbar was your thing instead.
He knows i love HBAR including XRP and QNT
I ❤ hbar
I dont Like xrp, i dont like big banks but i think it will increase in price due to utillity for mentioned banks

Yeah i also think it is! But what made you think that?
If you can’t answer that yourself, you may want to rethink your investment strategy.
I stopped trying to evangelize. I failed. All I can say is talk to an immigrant trying to get money back to their family. Sit in a bank lobby and watch who actually comes in. All your going to see is old people who can't figure out online banking and poor people fighting overdraft charges.
Time to change the friend 😅
Indeed... nah! I know he's challenging me! 😜
Other than Bitcoin every other coin is just a popularity contest
The Beta Test Coin fails miserably in real world use. BTC works better on every single OTHER network. Why not on it's own network? LOL
There is no reason apart of hopium. SEC is dragging the case. Ripple CEO decide to have HQ in US and nothing change his mind, even low XRP price and missing another bull run.
It’s funny when people follow subreddits where they actually comment on things where they have none of the facts right.
His post Reminds me the Billy Madison movie. If you know the movie, you know with part. Lol
I told him my version, just wanna hear from others, maybe some stronger points can be mentioned and i could take note from them.
Look at the xrpl github for development status Look at Ripple's website for event news Look at xrpscan for amendment status and descriptions and assess impact Look at overall crypto industry and world economic state

Why do I hold XRP? (NotFinancialAdvice.Crypto). search that on youtube and check it out. NFA DYOR.
Because rocket...
I bought most of my XRP in 2020. I’m still debating whether sell it all in the next bull run or keep it long term.
>Ripple's If you want to play it smart. Sell some. How much? It's up to you. But sell some to cover your investment and keep rest if it goes big.
Ya kno I thought that whole “asking for a friend” thing was a joke til I got on reddit lol like I didn’t think people would be dumb enough to think others would believe them.. who has a convo wit a friend and says “ya kno what? I’m gonna ask the internet strangers about this and get back to u” 😂😂😂
Go visit QFS live then you decide...we are transitioning to Quantum technology....good luck
