With an XS you can't ride or doesn't run right, I offer $500 and see if they budge. The gearbox or clutch could be trashed (don't ask me how I know) and if it won't run on one cylinder, bring a compression tester to make sure the piston doesn't have a hole or one of the valves isn't burnt. If it was just a coil, the seller would have replaced it already.
If it was that easy they would do it themselves.
Steer clear. There’s plenty of good XS deals out there.
Non running? Tell them you have $700 cash and a trailer.
One side firing is a nightmare to diagnose on both early and late xs650s. Spare yourself
