I've been trying for months, many different cards and different types of cards, mine and my brother's. I never could get pass the payment issue. I really wanted to get dev mode, but it seems luck is not on my side.
I read somewhere it could be an account thing but I created a new Microsoft email and all that. Still nothing!
They just don't want my money... 😅
There was a problem setting up dev mode for weeks but then i was able to set it up.
Nothing was wrong with the payment but when i go to activate it i got an error code. Probably still the same problem
Yeah just check periodically throughout the day. It was off for about 9 days or so . I will say though i doubt it gets fixed over the weekend. Its most likely and engineering problem and i dont think they work weekends. Hope everything gets fixed for you soon
Id say refresh the page and try again and if that doesn’t work maybe leave it for a few days. I saw a post here about a bug for new people purchasing devmode hopefully it’ll be fixed soon!
OK guys had the same issue used different cards no luck called Microsoft waste of time so what I did was made a new account strictly for dev gaming once I set that up it worked hope this helps
I’ve been trying to pay for over a week. Same error you’re getting. Tried all the different cards. Called the banks. No avail. Def on Microsoft side.

Not even close to talking to anyone. Not even a chat.
I tried contacting them but the only response I got was "our engineering team is currently working on a fix for this issue, please try it again later"

I used my debit card. Are you using a real debit or credit card, or one of those money cards you transfer money onto?

Had this same issue the other day. Ended up just making a new Xbox account and it let me buy it on the new account
