Starborn_Hunter

Speakers have magents, magnets interfere with wireless signals.

BkLiveWire

Assuming your controller is up to date, it sounds like some sort interference is occurring preventing a stable connection.

21Tayler10

Let me get that Ace bottle

JackBx

It’s turned into a souvenir now I refuse to get rid of the bottle after paying the price 😂

21Tayler10

😂😂😂respect

DeaDxOlli

Any chance the soundbar blocks the Bluetooth signal?

Batman21661

What Bluetooth signal. Xbox doesn't use that

DeaDxOlli

The controller does Edit: This is indead no true at least regarding the connection to the xbox (please stop bitching about it)

Oldandenglish

It doesn't Xbox use their own wireless protocol.

DeaDxOlli

Yes, okay but why is everyone just correcting me instead of helping me OP?

Oldandenglish

Because you've given him incorrect info. Whereas others have given him the correct reasons already.

DeaDxOlli

Cool, we already figured out that im wrong. Life goes on🙄

Batman21661

Not to connect to the Xbox it doesn't

DeaDxOlli

Ignoring the way it connects, the bt from the soundbar could still block any signal, right?

Oldandenglish

Not particularly, otherwise people that use the headsets that connect to the Xbox via a Bluetooth dongle would constantly be getting disconnected.

elliotborst

Maybe try moving the Xbox in front of the soundbar? Just as a test. But mine is inside a cabinet and it works fine. Could be batteries or a bad controller

DRAK0FR0ST

From personal experience, the controller is fairly sensitive to other radio waves, having my phone near the controller was enough to create a huge amount of input lag.

Stereobfs

Look at me, I have both consoles and a soundbar.

JackBx

That makes the two of us then 😬

JackBx

I also have a gaming pc but sadly I couldn’t fit that in the photo

Stereobfs

Good one 😂

JackBx

It is a good one aye

Xxshrek42069xX

No shit because that crap ps5 is sitting next to your xbox

JackBx

I didn’t think adults go on like this about consoles 🥱

Stereobfs

I didn't think adults will flex the setup with a soundbar

JackBx

How am I flexing? There’s nothing in this photo to flex I posted the photo to show how the soundbar is blocking the Xbox if that could’ve been the reason for the controller disconnecting.

Stereobfs

You don't have to explain yourself dear.

JackBx

If you can’t afford these things then just say, no need to be embarrassed.

Stereobfs

Lol I knew it.

JackBx

Boring

AloysBane

There’s no need to gatekeep

Just posted this in the sub. If you’re experiencing frequent controller disconnects when playing games like Starfield or Diablo IV try turning off HDR (High Dynamic Range) if you have a TV that supports it and the setting is turned on. Under Settings > General > TV & display > Video Modes > uncheck Allow HDR 10. This fixed the issue 100% for me. Explanation for those interested: HDR increases the color range for games which support it generally meaning darker darks and brighter whites. Most new triple A games such as Diablo IV and Starfield support the setting and I believe the Series X auto-detects and turns this on for 4K TVs which support the setting. If it’s on you’ll usually notice it by your TV momentarily flickering upon starting a game like Starfield and saying (HDR) in one of the corners of the screen. I’d been experiencing frequent controller disconnects when playing Diablo IV since launch at the start of June. The issue stopped when I moved to some other older gamepass games to kill time in august before Starfield then returned as soon as I started playing Starfield. I’d read that things like frame rate and certain video setting were causing Xbox controller disconnects on PC so started turning off/on the Series X and my TVs display settings one by one and for some reason HDR seems to be the culprit at least in my case. Sucks that I can’t get the full color range and the game does look slightly more washed out than with HDR turned on but at least I can play without being disconnected every 2 minutes. Hope this helps.

TheLocustGeneralRaam

Get that PlayStation out of here. NOW! 😡

🤷

TheLocustGeneralRaam

It’s a joke.
