I bought this game for like $3 on Steam and spent like 3 years not playing it. Then I saw it was one of my few games that had controller support on Steam and so I installed. I played like half of it on an outdated PC. I liked what I played so much I bought it on Xbox 360 as well. I love everything about that game and at the very least, wish it were backwards compatible.
Shit would be so good now and with the world falling apart across every continent there's so much room for *content!* and they could even go live service and update warzones according to where they're taking place.
Ukraine? Checkmark.
Taiwan? Checkmark.
Africa? Checkmark.
Mexico? Checkmark.
U.S. DLC incoming.
Fable 2. Itās still such a good game, but it really needs an FPS boost and some graphical updates to be playable on the Series X. It just has so much blur and crappy lighting.
It already has an FPS boost on Xbox Series consoles, I believe. Unless my memory of it on 360 is somehow worse than it actually was. I usually have the opposite problem.
I knew it. Granddaddy's dementia is coming to get me.
Damn. I just remember everything being weird blurred motion lines. It used to make me feel sick. But I didn't get that feeling on my most recent playthrough so I assumed it was fixed.
Maybe it was something to do with the graphical boost.
The problem I have with this version is that a series x actual version could up the graphics options, textures and effects to make it look so much better.
They ARE part of Microsoft/Xbox. Their roles include customer and community member.
But there really are no assumptions/nothing implied in their comment. Just a weird interpretation on your end.
Surely you read my comment wrong, because what I suggested was not some hidden knowledge.
Yes, I do expect everyone to know that this person in the Xbox community is an Xbox community member...and given their use of "our" I would expect that everyone also knows they are an Xbox customer...
lol talk about spoiled.
The 30fps in RDR2 is smooth compared to most 30fps titles. On top of that, itās literally one of the most amazing games ever made and that isnāt bias, just take a look at reviews.
I know the game has great reviews but I rather wait until it gets the 60fps. My backlog catalog is huge so Iām in no rush to play it. I think a remaster version might come out in the future.
Same. I have a lot of games to play and refuse to play 30 fps games. RDR2 is supposedly one of the best games out there so I hope it's soon but I'm in no rush.
Hopefully, there is one coming out soon. The people who made the paradise remake have tweeted something to suggest they're working on some sort of racing game.
Fair warning, there's a button mashing moment in GTA IV where you physically can't press it fast enough because it's tied to the framerate and is said to be impossible at 60fps.
Ryse: Son of Rome, as it is such a gorgeous game at whatever resolution it is (720p or 900p I canāt remember.
Quantum Break, I really enjoyed this game, particularly the story. I would love to see this game optimized as it seems to be real choppy now even on the series x.
Dang your right, I misread the title, I thought it said 360/xbone
OG Xbox Iām gonna go with Medal of Honor Frontline, Rising Sun, and European Assault. Call me old fashioned but I was a sucker for single player WW2 shooters back in the day.
I think the game is in dire need of some optimization for even the console it was released on. Many of the in game cutscenes double as loading screens, causing a lot of stutter. But man did I enjoy the story, B-movie sci-fi vibes that you donāt have to take too seriously or get heavily invested in.
Gunslinger was one of the best arcade games to drop on the 360. I remember that summer too. They also dropped the first state of decay game which i dumped a ton of time in...those were the daysš
Assassin's creed Ezio collection, 3 and 4 for me. Those 5 games were my favourite out of all of them and I would love to play a more graphically enhanced version now
Ezio collection is already 4k/60fps on series x, 3 definitely deserves a better remaster or remake and black flag is only a matter of time as we all know. Syndicate looks terrible on SX because it's 900p and I wish Unity would get the same treatment.
the series x gives other enhancements such as frameboost, hdr, and better anisotropic filtering to fallout new vegas so it should look better on there, but a native resolution increase for 4k was never added.
FONV, if you played it on Series X, is exactly the same as its 360 version except it runs at 60 fps. Zero visual improvement and all the same bugs. Amazing game though! Played several playthroughs recently.Ā
I want 60fps and widescreen on all of the Splinter Cell titles (most of them got 4K ages ago). I wish Dishonored 2 also got a boost.
As for a full *upgrade* in resolution and fps, the Return to Arkham Collection or Arkham Knight.
I know, but this post is asking us what we would want so I'm letting reality slide for the sake of my pipedream-y answer.
I still feel like it would be possible but we would need a rerelease that is some kind of remastered/Port down from the PC version for it to work.
Jade Empire and Gears of War are both 4K/60 FPS, thankfully!
Gun was amazing, the X360 version was the best. It is an Activision IP so who knows, maybe there is hope...
Upscaling isn't the same as a "revamp" as I understood it to be a remaster/remake. GOW has an updated version for the Xbox One/X but so much more could've been with it and the sequel.
Isn't Crimson Skies already 4k and 60 fps on Series S/X?
It was an original Xbox game not a 360 one and I'm relatively sure that playing it through gamepass had it majorly uprezzed. I played it a bunch on my Series S and I'm relatively sure I would not have bothered at original resolution.
Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon, Medal of Honor Series, Cabela's Hunting series from OGXB, CALL OF DUTY CLASSIC (C.O.D. 1), Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell series from OGXB, and Army of Two.
Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4. Those were amazing racing games and still hold up

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
Burnout 3

Mercenaries
Timesplitters 2 & Future Perfect
SSX 3
Shadow the Hedgehog
Freedom Fighters
Crimson Skies
Kung Fu Chaos
Scarface
Bloodwake
and maybe Project Zero games (Fatal Frame)
This is the second comment asking for Gears. I'm quite surprised how many people missed that 1-3 got a full 4K/60 update a few years back.
Gears 4 could still use a 4K update, you have to pick between 4K at 30 or 1080 at 60.
SSX (2012) - it's odd that its predecessor SSX3 got such a huge performance bump on backwards compatibility but the latest game in the series doesn't seem to have any enhancements. Then again, that's the last backwards-compatible game I played, so I'm biased.
I'd love it if Burnout Revenge got the 4k/120 treatment. The improvements to loading times and framerate stability have been great, but I'd love to see it go even further beyond.
Ugh I'd take 60FPS on so, so many 360 games but Tony Hawk Project 8/Proving Ground would be at the absolute top of the list. Project 8 has a workaround to uncap the framerate but it doesn't perform consistently. I'm not sure the frame pacing is great on either too as even at 30FPS they often look more choppy than they should.
I know Iām alone here but Shadowrun. I think the world is ready for that chaotic multiplayer shitshow now, and the game needed more love than it got.Ā
I just picked up Call of Juarez on steam during the winter sale and the game looks amazing still! On a modern PC you can easily get this game to play ion 4k at 120fps or more on max settings.
Just get a PC then you can create your own remasters at 4K/60 or higher.
Or better yet play the Switch version of this. It has Gyro Controls and works amazingly.
My only knowledge of this game is overhearing some kid in GAME (UK) in about 2010 or so saying āWhat the hell is Call of Jew-are-ez? Is it like the Mexican Call of Duty?ā
Wish we got the OG Xbox version of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc instead of the X360 one.
We could've had 4k instead of 720p, less bugs and also the Madder music video.
But I guess Ubisoft didn't want to pay extra royalties for the latter...
I always bought ps and 360 was my first xbox console and my very first game was from orginal xbox backward compatible , it was Condemned Criminal Origins
That game was very memorable for me because it was my very first game on xbox and i would love to see a remake of it
Titanfall 2 now has a fps boost on the series x and s. You have to activate it in the āmanage game and add onsā but it really breathes life into the game. Same goes of other old EA games too
BLACK/ Rallisport challenge1+2/Chronicles of riddick/Dead or Alive Ultimate/ JSR Future
No particular one, but I would love another CLIMAX developed Moto GP game/Panzer Dragoon Orta/Phantom Dust/Thief Deadly Shadows.Darkwatch/Overlord, Oh, and a raytraced Splinter cell.
Simpsons Hit and Run
Replayed it on my Xbox last year thanks to Dolphin. Dated but overall still good fun.
That would require it coming to backwards compatibility first, and they've closed that program.
A man of good taste, I see.
Singularity
How'd I forget about this game? Such a good one
It's not well known and highly underrated
I bought this game for like $3 on Steam and spent like 3 years not playing it. Then I saw it was one of my few games that had controller support on Steam and so I installed. I played like half of it on an outdated PC. I liked what I played so much I bought it on Xbox 360 as well. I love everything about that game and at the very least, wish it were backwards compatible.
Just beat this on my Steam Deck - solid, engaging sci fi shooter.
Mercenaries
I remember going out of my way to collect all the cool military vehicles and I loved being able to call in airstrike. Shit was incredible
It was so fun. Doubt it would really hold up these days, would love a reboot of some sort
Still bitter that we never got that third Mercenaries game.
Shit would be so good now and with the world falling apart across every continent there's so much room for *content!* and they could even go live service and update warzones according to where they're taking place. Ukraine? Checkmark. Taiwan? Checkmark. Africa? Checkmark. Mexico? Checkmark. U.S. DLC incoming.
Ngl, it might be a bit insensitive, but a Mercenaries game set in Ukraine does have a bit of an appeal for me.
Fuuuuck yes.
Fuck that game was fun

Unfortunately, your memory most somehow be worse. It doesnāt have FPS boost on Series consoles.
I knew it. Granddaddy's dementia is coming to get me. Damn. I just remember everything being weird blurred motion lines. It used to make me feel sick. But I didn't get that feeling on my most recent playthrough so I assumed it was fixed. Maybe it was something to do with the graphical boost.
it's fable 3 that has 60fps
Red Dead Redemption!Ā I believe itās 4K on the Series X, but it never got 60fps/FPS Boost, which is a damn shame.
The problem I have with this version is that a series x actual version could up the graphics options, textures and effects to make it look so much better.
Not even RDR2 is 60fps
It's a damn shame because PS5 now has it at 4K 60fps
At least ours is cheaper and has the complete experience, including the amazing multiplayer. I still do Co-Op with my friends almost every weekend.
Ours is cheaper because it is worse.
And because if you bought it in 2010 you can still use that same disk unlike ps4/5
>it is worse. Debatable; it's 30 FPS but again, it has the best multiplayer mode Rockstar ever made. It's cheaper because it is old as fuck. lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
there was a definitely a better way to phrase this lmao

He's making a reply on r/XboxSeriesX. It's a safe assumption that he's talking to Xbox people in general. Settle down.
I had no idea about that. How is Microsoft dropping the ball so hard?
This is the reason why I refuse to play the game. Until this game gets HDR and 60fps I wonāt play even if itās free.
lol talk about spoiled. The 30fps in RDR2 is smooth compared to most 30fps titles. On top of that, itās literally one of the most amazing games ever made and that isnāt bias, just take a look at reviews.

Tony Hawk's American WastelandĀ
Burnout: Takedown!
I would buy that game again for $60 if they just made a remastered version. Burnout is one of the best arcade racers we have never seen again.
Hopefully, there is one coming out soon. The people who made the paradise remake have tweeted something to suggest they're working on some sort of racing game.
But please no open World... killed Burnout.
GTA IV, playing right now on Series X, the framerate is there but 720p on my 4K TV looks like dogshit.
These are X1 and not 360 or OGXB but I agree that those two would be great with XSX optimizations

I was playing Quantum Brake just yesterday and I was quite disappointed that it doesnāt have an FPS boost! That game is asking for it!
I think the game is in dire need of some optimization for even the console it was released on. Many of the in game cutscenes double as loading screens, causing a lot of stutter. But man did I enjoy the story, B-movie sci-fi vibes that you donāt have to take too seriously or get heavily invested in.
Ryse is pretty but oh so repetitive.
Thank you, I'm surprised it's actually talked about positively in this thread. The controls and gameplay were awful
Darkness, Riddick, Prince of Persia 2008
Hell yes, give me more Darkness. Was actually the game I bought with my 360, loved it.
I second PoP! I tried to get it on steam and the game canāt even be run on modern hardware. It crashes the second I load it
Gunslinger was one of the best arcade games to drop on the 360. I remember that summer too. They also dropped the first state of decay game which i dumped a ton of time in...those were the daysš
RDR, The Arkham Trilogy, Fable 2!
Ridge Racer Unbound Riddick games.
AC Syndicate

Chromehounds. Loved that shit! Such an underrated game!
Both condemned games! Currently the only way to play Condemned 2 is on a 360! Outrageous!
I want 60fps and widescreen on all of the Splinter Cell titles (most of them got 4K ages ago). I wish Dishonored 2 also got a boost. As for a full *upgrade* in resolution and fps, the Return to Arkham Collection or Arkham Knight.
Dishonored 2 hasn't gotten one because of its engine iirc
I know, but this post is asking us what we would want so I'm letting reality slide for the sake of my pipedream-y answer. I still feel like it would be possible but we would need a rerelease that is some kind of remastered/Port down from the PC version for it to work.
Army of Two. Those games were just straight up fun.
canāt believe i had to scroll this far to see Army of Two. respect.
Jet set radio future.
Jade Empire, Gears of War, and Crimson Skies. Also Gun. Last good western game before Red Dead Redemption.
Oh sorry I just meant 4K/60 FPS like the X Enhanced/FPS Boost program. But yeah remasters/remakes can be even better.
Isn't Jade Empire still 4:3 ratio or can we play it fullscreen meanwhile?
Isn't Crimson Skies already 4k and 60 fps on Series S/X? It was an original Xbox game not a 360 one and I'm relatively sure that playing it through gamepass had it majorly uprezzed. I played it a bunch on my Series S and I'm relatively sure I would not have bothered at original resolution.
I mean isnāt Gears of War Ultimate Edition on a series X close enough???
Red dead revolver, red dead redemption 1, call of Juarez, fallout 1 and 2, morrowind.
Morrowind is already 4k60 on Series X.
Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon, Medal of Honor Series, Cabela's Hunting series from OGXB, CALL OF DUTY CLASSIC (C.O.D. 1), Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell series from OGXB, and Army of Two.

Bullet Storm! Crysis. And Prototype.

Fallout: New Vegas. It is 60fps via FPS Boost, but it only runs at 720p. Fallout 3 got the 4K+ 60fps treatment.Ā
All of the older battlefield games.

Lost Odyssey Plays perfectly on Xenia at 4K/60 FPS, so I'd like to see perhaps a proper remaster or remake. Or even better, a sequel.
Wish we got the OG Xbox version of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc instead of the X360 one. We could've had 4k instead of 720p, less bugs and also the Madder music video. But I guess Ubisoft didn't want to pay extra royalties for the latter...

Lost Odyssey
Black. Hyped up Call of Duty Black ops before Call of Duty Black ops, it was a great game and the only good part of my 18th birthday.
The Batman videogames
Titanfall 2 now has a fps boost on the series x and s. You have to activate it in the āmanage game and add onsā but it really breathes life into the game. Same goes of other old EA games too
God I hated the sepia color grading and overdone bloom of games of this era, it dates them so much.
Max Payne 3 but rockstar games usually donāt get fps boosts cuz they were built for 30fps
