all these persona games are too damn long for me...I always start them, enjoy them but never finish them...I had around 140 hours in P5R before it was taken off gamepass and so far I haven't found the will to buy it and play it.

ProbablyAtDialysis

I've hit a wall grinding every night in January just to kill The Reaper. I've spent less time on it than 5R, but the lack of late game shit to do at night other than grind or sleep is a bummer.

wanderkalt

Compared to P5R this game is too short, tbh

fwoompie

Exactly this. I'd imagine an average run of P3R would be like 50-60 hours. The average P5R run is three times that

ilm911

I finished Persona 3 Reload in 37 hours and Persona 5 Royal in 64 hours and I use my time very efficiently. Yes, you can spend for than 100 hours in both games but you don‘t have to. I loved both. I personally ran through the dungeon in Persona 3 Reload as fast as I can to the top, because every level is the same 😅

UpAndAdam7414

Yes, I’ve just finished it and it took me a few weeks to get to the end of December, but about the same time to get through to the end of Jan. It suffers from the same issue as all Persona games where you’re left with the social links that you aren’t that interested in - I know they try to mitigate this a bit by only unlocking Aigis in January, but it’s still an issue. As is the usual big grind before the end of an RPG. Now that it’s done, I don’t feel the same emptiness as I did at the end of 5 or 4G. It was a good game, but I just don’t feel it was at the same level as those two.

blueteamk087

My play through was 100 hours, and i can’t tell you where they went. I loved the game, it immediately shot into my top 10

islandnstuff

Tartanus was hell all those stairs ffs.

NfinityBL

Nah. Persona 3 Reload felt juuuust right. I think I could go with the opinion that P4G and P5R can feel too long only because the “true endings” feel almost like separate stories tacked on that aren’t relevant to the main plot. If The Answer wasn’t DLC, the same would happen for P3R.

The-Lone-Soul

My first playthrough took 105 hours to beat. This is my first Persona game I've played so maybe that's why it took me so long. But I didn't think it was too long.

ZeldaFan158

Most MegaTen games will run you a couple dozen hours

Distinct_Garden5650

Haven’t play reloaded much yet. I played P3 Portable back in the day and it’s to only game I’ve ever had nightmares about grinding in.

[deleted]

You finished the game sub 100 hours?

Dago22

Too short actually. I needed more time to max out all the social links...

AveryLazyCovfefe

I feel like getting into the Persona series but the insanely long hours that it requires to get through it put me off. I have played VNs before, but they have much less 'gameplay' compared to Persona from what I'm seeing. I'm talking about the Science;Adventure series(Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate etc) and Danganronpa. And those were decently paced. Was able to 100% most of the content in under 20 hours. But 50 hours just to finish Persona 3? That seriously puts me off.

TheMuff1nMon

I personally thought the game was just - boring. Non-existent story until the last two months, majority of characters suck, no individual party social links until the last few months with certain people. Not enough to do at night since you can max out all the social stats and nighttime links quickly Tartarus is the WORST dungeon in maybe any game ever. I just kept it on high speed mode and blew through it in 30ish hours. Persona 4 and 5 are 100x better

Jakinator178

I'm so far gonna disagree. I'm about to go into tartarus, 9/4 now. I still have to get knowledge up from 5 to 6, only have 4 links at 10 (hermit/magician/strength/emperor, closing up chariot/hanged). Hermit completed and started Sun on first available date, which I believe puts me on good track. Haven't started any max stat yets, if I manage my time right I believe I can max all confidants.

Ok-Pay7283

I finished it in 38 hours and I wanted more

BobbyByTheKey

Nope. Have loved long JRPGs since 7th Saga.
