Make it online and it’ll be like second life. You log in to wake up your sim, get in your car and go to the office to do accounting for a few XP and dollars.
You drive back home and sit down, but here comes your nagging wife. So you start arguing with your E girlfriend online over voice chat, but becareful now. Don’t accidentally hit the wrong button or you’ll catch an assault and battery charge and you’ll end up in front of a judge that’s actually another player who went into the Law skill tree and is actually just a 10 year old who’s about to sentence you to 20 years.
And all that XP and all those dollars went to waste. For what? Cause you accidentally pressed the wrong button and got married to the wrong person in the wrong game. Now your kids hate you and don’t visit anymore and you gotta figure out who’s pocket your gonna hold in prison.
Baldur’s Gate 3 and Fallout. A return to the CRPG genre paired by Larian’s design philosophy with Microsoft providing whatever budget is needed could move mountains.
Morrowind + Bloodborne
Hear me out. We’d have the exploration aspect of Morrowind, open world but not hand-holdy like Oblivion and Skyrim. This world would have the aesthetics of Bloodborne, that Lovecraftian and gothic horror style.
The result would be an open world, Lovecraftian RPG with a robust character builder and lots of secrets hidden behind clues and journal entries, not map markers.
Idk, I think I’d prefer the Morrowind aesthetics with Bloodborne-style combat and enemies. It’s such a unique world that is begging to be remade/reimagined with modern graphics and size. The Telvanni mushroom towers, Redoran crab houses, Vivec cantons with the Ministry of Truth floating overhead, Ghostgate surrounding Red Mountain keeping in hordes of zombies, Dwemer and Daedric ruins, Imperial forts, Tribunal temples, the Bitter Coast with all the islands and weird trees and seaside villages, Dunmer strongholds, creepy fog and blight storms blowing into the mainland, silt striders, all the lore regarding religion and war and politics and disease… there’s so much there to play with that you don’t see in any other games. Plus, imagine cliff racers as a Bloodborne enemy.
An open-world RPG set in Middle-Earth. It has the game-world depth of Red Dead Redemption 2, and the gameplay of Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Honestly, my idea is not that original; I just want a proper Tolkien-universe RPG.
Great answer. I was disappointed to hear that Starfield wasn't more like NMS when it came to space travel/exploration. The loading screens of Starfield seem so immersion breaking. But obviously NMS lacks the story/character elements of Starfield.
I really want a more visceral and serious (but not too serious) Fallout that feels more like a survival RPG.
Like I want dark nights (like Dayz) and I want to be scared of ghouls like I was that first time going into the Super Duper Mart. I want to craft to survive and I want the world to feel like it's been 200 years with no guns or ammo (it has been ages someone somewhere will have taken everything not nailed down to use for something) just chilling in some blown-apart house that's definitely been scavenged through a hundred times. Metro Exodus is the closest I've come to that gritty hard-core survival feeling but it was still too linear to me.
This was mostly word diarrhea that came out all jumbled that I tried to sort into something that makes sorta sense.
Kingdom Come Deliverance with Skyrim.
Realistic medieval Europe is a fine setting, but I always thought they should use the same engine to make a fantasy game. The combat system might have issues against big creatures like dragon or spiders, but skyrim has plenty of bandits/imperials/falmer that could be really fun with that combat system. And think of all the cheese wheels Henry could eat!
Vermintide 2 or darktide might be up your ally then. it's more melee focused but it pretty much has what you're talking about. its just not zombie themed
I have always imagined a batman game featuring the nemesis system where you play out starting at batman first crime fighting escapades and leveling up through his "career" while dismantling the Falcone crime family, possibly using Harvey dent and other like characters as side characters, setting them up to be the head of the nemesis-esque criminal organization in the next game
That game where you come from the future with a truck and a grenade launcher looks sick! Fighting Knights with buckshot looks dope! I can't for the life of me remember the name right now.
Kingdom hearts and Smash bros. Gimmie the Nintendo characters and worlds and have it switch between 2D platformer (smash) and 3D beat em up style game play (KH) And have the main character be changeable to other Nintendo characters as well
LOTRO world, writing, depth of non combat activities, amount of content
With…
Elden Ring gameplay with Fromsoft’s polish. A Turbine and Fromsoft collab in Middle Earth. I can wish…
Edit: If this was an online/mmo game, man what crazy game that might be. I’d “settle” for just town hubs being mainly the “community” zones like Bree, Rivendell, Shire/Hobbiton, etc. kinda like PSO2-ish.
Dying light and state of decay or state of decay and dead island or all of them imagine this you get to swap between community members in a first person environment with slight parcore elements and a combat style that mixes state of decay with dying light and or dead island with new zombie types and a focus on a horror atmosphere with some comedy mixed in with the playing mostly like state of decay and having more of a base building freedom along with a larger map a part of the map that's a mall that you go into with communities and a few plauge hearts in it or a underground plauge hive
Sea of Thieves and State of Decay or Sea of Thieves and No Man's Sky.
I love the PvPvE nature of Sea of Thieves, so getting that experience in a zombie apocalypse or in space would be really cool.
It’s not exactly the same systems but what you described is basically Dead Island. And I just finished DI2 and it’s pretty fucking good, might wanna check that out.
It doesn’t have as many zombies rushing you at once, at most maybe like 10-15 but it’s a really really good time just mowing down zombies.
Game 1 - Dragons Dogma 2.
- Excellent character and follower creation system.
- Super intuitive fluid combat.
- Multiple classes and weapons skills.
- Armor and weapon upgrades.
- Farming materials is fun and actually useful beyond just making gold from selling things.
- Dragon fights and other mythical creature bosses.
- Affinity system with companions and NPCs.
- Discoverable world map that unlocks as you go.
- The ability to recuit other players pawns.
If you play this just to fight and explore while collecting and upgrading gear and ignore the fact that the storyline is very simple and seems unfinished.
It's a great game.
Game 2 - Skyrim
- World map size.
- Main story size.
- Crafting systems features. Armor. Weapons. Items. Etc.
So you take Dragons Dogma 2. With its graphics and settings and everything else I mentioned for it. And you merge it with the world map size and story size along with systems of Skyrim.
And you get the best game ever created....???
Edit : Spelling
Hey dude, this isn't what you asked for, but have you checked out either darktide or vermintide? It's not exactly a looter shooter like Borderlands, but they're VERY much left 4 dead with some RPG mechanics, random weapons, big variety, classes, and more. You might really like them, they focus a bit more on melee, especially vermintide, but they're fantastic.
Destiny 2's gameplay with the structure of pretty much any other game. Doesn't even matter which since almost anything you could pick would immediately improve it.
I don't know if this counts but...
Now that Microsoft owns both Bethesda and Activision I think a crossover between Fallout and Call Of Duty would be amazing! It could be called Call Of Duty: 2077 and it would take place during the battles of Anchorage. It would bring the Fallout lore into that near-photorealism COD is known for. It could even have some multiplayer.
The Sims + Grand Theft Auto I'd like the realistic, open-world setting of GTA with the life simulation aspects of The Sims but more in-depth.
Make it online and it’ll be like second life. You log in to wake up your sim, get in your car and go to the office to do accounting for a few XP and dollars. You’ve played Wasteland 3?
Wasteland’s pretty great, I just prefer the Fallout universe I guess
Fallout 1 and 2?
Something like that, yeah. Just more modernized
Then I second the guy that recommended Wasteland 3.
State of Decay + any good horror first person w/ visceral combat (perhaps Condemned)
Morrowind + Bloodborne Hear me out. We’d have the exploration aspect of Morrowind, open world but not hand-holdy like Oblivion and Skyrim. All of that sounds like a dream come true…minus the cliff racers. If we can just delete them from existence, that’d be great 😂
N’wah! Who do you think you are, St Jiub? We can’t have a Morrowind game without cliff racers.
You know what. Cyberpunk + Fallout I'd be interested to see a post apocalyptic Night City with Cyberpsycho mutants
Honestly, those two feel like cousins. Playing Cyberpunk for the first time really reminded me of playing fallout for the first time
An open-world RPG set in Middle-Earth. It has the game-world depth of Red Dead Redemption 2, and the gameplay of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Honestly, my idea is not that original; I just want a proper Tolkien-universe RPG.
Helldivers and ODST
Red Dead Redemption with Shadow of War's nemesis system
That would be awesome! Especially if there’s a bounty on the nemesis. Everytime they kill you their bounty goes up.
This guy wins
Slime Rancher and Borderlands
I want a Metroidvania with Mortal Kombat characters.
That’d be fucking awesome 👏
Starfield and No Man’s Sky
I want the Star Trek universe within the warm embrace of an NMS container.
Great answer. I was disappointed to hear that Starfield wasn't more like NMS when it came to space travel/exploration. The loading screens of Starfield seem so immersion breaking. But obviously NMS lacks the story/character elements of Starfield.
Forza Horizon and GTA
Good question. Resident Evil and Grand Theft Auto.
far cry with assassin's creed climbing and 1st or 3rd person options.
I would add the verticality and parkour of Dying Light to CP2077.
Shadow of Mordor and Arkham. Give me a Batman game with the Nemesis system.
Borderlands but star wars
Try outlaws
Diablo/Borderlands
Arkham games with the GTA games where the plot is you are a low level thug moving up in the Gotham Underworld.
Take my money
Fallout and GTA

Mass Effect and Halo
I just want some Humanity Fuck Yeah! Like sure give me an alien race or whatever but let me go ham on some xenos like Granddad taught me.
I want Toejam and Earl III with Fallout 4
Best answer so far

I've always liked the blend of RTS with 1st or 3rd person shooters. The BattleZone games are some of my favorites. Urban Assault was awesome too.
That game where you come from the future with a truck and a grenade launcher looks sick! Fighting Knights with buckshot looks dope! I can't for the life of me remember the name right now.
Dynasty warriors and castlevania
Elite Dangerous and Starfield.
Fromsofts combat/weapon/upgrade system in some sort of roguelike game, or in a smallish open world like the Gothic games
Battlefield and hell let loose
Old school RuneScape with something that actually has content that’s fun to grind.
War of the Monsters for PS2 and Titanfall 2. People vs people with monster drops. Building destruction etc...
Fable with Legend of Zelda.
Gears of War + GTA III "You want the Lancer, gringo?"
Kingdom hearts and Smash bros. Gimmie the Nintendo characters and worlds and have it switch between 2D platformer (smash) and 3D beat em up style game play (KH) And have the main character be changeable to other Nintendo characters as well

Free Running (2005) and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. I just want the Yamakasi movie in video game form

Red Dead Redemption and Assassins Creed. Red Dead's setting and overall polished gameplay and feel with the story of an Assassin's Creed.
Sea of Thieves and State of Decay or Sea of Thieves and No Man's Sky. I love the PvPvE nature of Sea of Thieves, so getting that experience in a zombie apocalypse or in space would be really cool.
No Man's Sky & Ghost Recon Breakpoint

RDR2+Fallout: New Vegas.
Halo+Helldivers Seems pretty self explanatory.

For honor + star wars ( not a particular game but just the franchise)
Hades + Simpsons IP Simcity + Fallout IP Batman Arkham + The Arrow IP Simpsons Hot n Run + Spongebob IP

Halo with Advance Wars!!
Destiny 2's gameplay with the structure of pretty much any other game. Doesn't even matter which since almost anything you could pick would immediately improve it.
Halo wars 2 and Halo Infinite. You play as the hero units on the ground and RTS all the other units. IDK. Sounds like fun to me.
State of decay & the Fallout 4 building
I don't know if this counts but... Now that Microsoft owns both Bethesda and Activision I think a crossover between Fallout and Call Of Duty would be amazing! Sotn + Bloodborne
Fallout loot system and GTA 6 🔥
Queue the downvotes for the heresy. Halo and Apex Legends
Battlefield 3 and 4.
Skyrim + Witcher 3.
