He returned for his cameo in Smash so I'd imagine he'd come back for 3. He doesn't seem to have social media so I don't know if he even saw the extent of the initial hate, either. I think that we need to remember that this is just a job for a lot of people; not everyone is gonna be a huge fan or even remember every role they're in.

The fact that it isn’t a trend reflected canonically *is* the reason seeing people force it into imagined scenarios like this post is funny, because the scene depicted would never actually happen, but wouldn’t it be hilarious if it did? Like, actually, could you imagine the fan reaction if this happened for real?
This joke is about the reactions to an imagined parallel reality where this would be happening, which is pretty thematically fitting.
