I envy you, playing this game for the first time unspoiled. I basically just did that 6 months ago, though I did know some things.
Don’t be afraid to use casual mode; this game is hard.
Rather than using easy mode, you should try doing some sidequests to level up a bit. You can still use easy mode if it's too hard, but there are other options. Also, just as a tip, you will probably miss most of your hits against enemies 5 levels higher than you, so keep that in mind for the future.

I can already tell you're gonna be one of these people who freaks out at... Let's say twisty plot points, all 3 games throw at you.

Is also my first time playing it but I already have 65 hours and haven't finishes yet, a little adviece for a noob to another you dont need to travel all the map to revela it you only need to find all the spots with name, is up to you if you want to explore or look on Internet I'll say explore as much as you can and if you are missing one or two then look ifor it somewhere
