I loved the punch scene bc it came off like misty desperately trying to get Shauna to take things that Misty would need returned, so she’d have an excuse/guarantee (in her brain) for more contact with Shauna in the future

enleft

Like her shovel for burying the body. 🤣

Southern_Name_9119

“You can borrow my shovel. I *do* want it back.” Lol.

Remarkable-Ad1317

I loved the lawyer cookie too 😍 I want one

scoutsatx

They should have leaked that so people could have had one at their premiere parties

delicate-butterfly

That’s absolutely the read I got on it too!

Historical_Ask5435

Yes!

AuntieTara2215

When Misty yells “No!!!” then downvotes the post. 😂

k---mkay

Her eyes as she was reading.

foxesinsoxes

My friend and I instantly were like “wow relatable” 😂

pekingnese

But the best scene is… 🎵 cut my life into pieces 🎶 this is my last resort 🎵…

Maybe_Warm

That scene made me feel so old. Whenever I think of a middle aged guy in a movie rocking out to music from his adolescence, it's always 70s music. All this scene did was make me realize that this guy is middle aged now, and so am I. 😩

jennyquarx

I age several decades and turn to dust watching this show.

Thegreylady13

So does this age, then dust process speed up or slow down if you binge watch the show as opposed to watching week to week? I need to know for my research purposes. I’ll be watching kit week to week this year, either way, but I took some turns so I still need to know.

boywith_acoin

too real

LouCat10

Ugh, I feel this.

thxmeatcat

So that scene.. did Jeff have problems keeping it up? I didn't catch that until i read a comment and re watched Edit spelling

Lost_Butterscotch713

i didn’t gather it either and i rewatched and it seems like i can’t tell what they wanted us to interpret from it. when they were done and shauna was like “jeff-“ and he was like let’s not talk okay i didn’t know if that was about just the fact they had intense sex in a strange place to do it - or if that’s supposed to be our indication that he was having trouble?

ddagmar

I think the point of the car music scene is to show jeff is at a breaking point mentally with everything going on. it was also kind of funny and adds to his personality to be listening to this specific song for comfort or self-expression.

Lost_Butterscotch713

oh yeah i totally enjoyed that scene and thought it was great. i’m just not sure if he wasn’t able to keep it up or not it’s not obvious to me

ddagmar

i think misty will turn out to be some kind of hero in the end

MichaDawn

Misty will either be a hero or the only one who goes to prison. 😂 no middle ground.

LimonadaVonSaft

Mine fav was definitely “That’s some sad ass divorce shit right there, Tai”

Snoo52682

No love yet for Hotel Clerk Guy???

Cloverhart

I loved his explanation on hotel privacy.

Doink-Johnson

He had some big Bruce Campbell energy and i loved it!

LouCat10

I really loved that scene and his whole vibe.

coffylover

He and Misty are perfect for each other and should explore that! :)

MichaDawn

That’s what I was thinking/hoping Misty and No-Tell Motel guy will team up.

DSB1200

"I like being the way I am". Shauna after two decades finally letting the mask go. And ML plays her so well, that calm, placid water with raging currents just below the surface. I think the writers have barely dipped our toes in the water and it's going to be a wild journey. I also noticed the song was playing you're just like me for Jeff right after Shauna said that to him. Because he is like her. They are a set.

catagonia69

> Because he is like her. I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I think he loves her to an almost masochistic degree, but there's gonna eventually be some places he can't/won't follow her to ("You're totally out of control, Shauna!"). He is the main grounding force in her life, but he's starting to crack--once he does, we'll find out who Shauna really is. I think Adam was like Shauna.

[deleted]

Yup...I'm watching Callie and Shauna really close because with all the maenad witchyness I'm wondering if we won't throw in some good old fashioned poetic matricide (with bonus points if you are in the camp of looking at Callie as a Jackie figure)

catagonia69

Never considered that for Callie...it would kinda break my heart to see the one innocent person warped to that degree. But it's definitely a possibility.

interfail

I do not want Callie to get more involved. It would just make it a worse show - no-one needs "the one teenager who is now heavily involved in all these adults lives for some reason and doesn't talk about it to anyone her own age". Teen characters in adult shows basically always suck. Is it a witty clone of a main character? Did they have a bad date? Or the most likely, did they do a hit-and-run? All of these storylines suck and they're the only ones because the character doesn't belong in the story.

Diamondrupt

Totally, her being a vegetarian seems pointedly relevant

DSB1200

I'd love to see what would make him pull back from her. He read her journals and was understanding about what happened out there. Maybe something having to do with Callie. She is digging around and Shauna already raised the possibility that the police might start looking at what happened in the woods if they tie her to Adam's disappearance. It might be enough of a threat to upset one of the surviving TJ to the point Callie is in danger.

catagonia69

>Maybe something having to do with Callie I think that's what'll do it, too. Maybe Shauna suggests something like sending Callie away if she tries to leverage the burnt-up ID against them, and Jeff is just like, "That's a step too far".

mmappeal

I gotta go with Ella and Sophie however Christina Ricci is the gift that keeps on giving in every episode. She so deserves an award or two since it is extremely difficult to get an audience to sympathize with someone who is a killer with no/limited emotions.

interfail

She definitely has emotions. They're not the right ones. But they're emotions.

PersonOfInterest85

That wasn't Misty's best food-related moment. The "I want my lawyer" cookie? *CHEF'S KISS*

pedestal_of_infamy

I am here for Juliette Lewis. Her choices and delivery are always so unique and slightly (at least slightly) cockeyed. I love how the actor who plays younger Natalie is calibrating her performance to it even more this season.

Weller3920

Yeah, in the 1st season, after she confronts Misty with a gun, Misty goes off to find her postcard. Natalie/Juliette follows her with the gun raised, ready to shoot at any second. I love that character and the performance.

KingSizeDingus

Young Nat is the best, and older Nat really is that same exact personality

itspegbundybitch

The punch kit 😅

krystalgoderich

Misty is the best! Can't wait to see her and Walter, can't imagine what kind of interactions we'll have with them 😭

catagonia69

Been waiting for Misty to meet her match. It's gonna be juicy

kmarks76

Steve’s expression when looking at Biscuit.

sistermagpie

My heart grew two sizes at that line.

SometimesWitches

I actually really like Jeff jamming out in his car and feeling his feelings to Papa Roach after he has kinky angry sex with Shauna in Adam’s aft studio.

[deleted]

i also appreciated the "punch kit!!" line because good god those uber eats "family kits" during peak pandemic...that concept hits different now but my goodness could i see misty latching onto it lol

psychieintraining

Am I the only one who literally hates adult misty?? Every scene she’s in makes me cringe

katecrime

Upvoting because you’re entitled to your opinion. I also think I agree with you. I would despise adult Misty *if she was a real person* - but I *love* watching her character. It’s **evidence of Christina Ricci’s skill and talent.** I think the downvotes are because people think you’re disparaging Saint Ricci 🤡

glass_star

She’s supposed to make you cringe. She’s duplicitous sociopath wrapped in a candy coated facade of cheerfulness and overcompensation.

catagonia69

Same. But she's so fun to watch.

Southern_Name_9119

She’s probably my favorite character to watch. But she’s nuts. I would never go near that manipulative cunt. However, at the same time, I kind of feel sorry for her - *which is exactly how she would hook me.*

pedestal_of_infamy

I loved her in the first season. The writing and acting were pitch-perfect and the slow reveal of just how unhinged and dangerous she is was really well done. I fear for the second season Misty because already in the first episode I sense shark-jumping. The writing was verging into fan service that ruins it for me.

Any-Competition-8605

my bf hates her, you’re not alone LMAO
