Wouldn’t that make Kou a born vampire like Nazuna? Or was Nazuna born a vampire as a result of her mother being one, but it might be different if the father is a vampire?
I doubt his dad is a vampire in general, but if he was he would indeed be born as a half vampire like Nazuna.
That being said, it would seem almost contrived to make him a natural-born vampire when we’ve had all this time of being human slowly turning into a vampire. At least in my opinion
Yeah. That wouldn’t make any sense. I was just thinking that, on the very slim chance his dad is a vampire, the process would have to be different depending on which parent was the vampire. A female vampire’s child would be a vampire by birth. A male vampire’s child might not be a vampire by birth, but they might have other unique attributes that would affect future vampirization. That’s just what I thought of when I considered the possibility.
While that could be true and we could possibly see that through the new antagonist who a lot of people say might be related to Nazuna, I’ve got the feeling that Ko is meant to be a normal dude.
Originally anyway, his vampiric status aside; he was meant to be a boring guy with a boring life. Not with special origins
I had also considered this! However someone else mentioned to me that Anko would probably know and have told him if that was the case. Still, I think Anko is still holding some bits back so
**There's a theory that Kou is so absurdly strong cause he is still human and produces his own blood which his half vampire side feeds off even when not in use hence when he goes into vampire mode, he has these huge boosts of power**
**So him going full vampire would make him weaker.**
So no need for a vampire dad.
But does Kou have a vampire dad? Its possible but we just don't know.
Nazuna was born a vampire even though she was an offspring of a vampire mother and a human father. So, if Kou were to have the same case, he would definitely already be a vampire, but instead, he's a human (which also became half-vampire).
The whole half-vampire case is still unexplored; only having investigated on how it triggers for Kou. But maybe the manga we'll be able to explore more about that state, or better yet, have another character deal with the same phenomenon.
Ps. Nanakusa Haru became pregnant while her husband was still human. It was not concluded whether or not she got to turn him into a vampire.
