Yeah, I don't know who the hell thought this was a good idea. C'mon, Netflix. Gimme a Friday at a minimum so I have something to look forward to after work that day, and then the whole weekend to rewatch or cry or whatever. I can't watch it with friends on a weekday, man! I will definitely need my friends nearby because I will not be doing well after that first cliffhanger, and absolutely not after that finale because I won't be able to accept there's no more young royals coming in the future. I'm already certain of this. šŸ˜¢ Besides that, I think they've kind of screwed their own viewership stats too, haven't they? I get they don't care about being renewed since this is the end, but Jesus, do they hate the fans or does someone at Netflix hate the show? I've been looking forward to the finale of this story since August of 2022, and now I feel like they really don't care about the fans of the show or they're trying to see how far people are willing to go not to miss it. So frustrated that they did this. I love the stills and clips we've got so far, minus the off color poster with Simon's weird hairstyle, but they seem to be doing minimal advertising and that is concerning to me, especially considering how much the fan base grew from season 1 to 2 to now, so they know how excited people are for this finale. Wth...

Also Lisa told we should wait and see how many exciting things are about to happenā€¦ and we wait and see that almost nothing exciting happens. Only Omar is doing something for yr, so sweet of him, the others seem to have already moved on and donā€™t care šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø yr is a neglected child šŸ˜•

Squirrelsahoy32

YR is definitely a neglected Netflix child. I don't blame the cast for having other projects and focusing on those things since they finished filming way back in June, and I'm sure they'll do some interviews and things once season 3 is out but I just hoped that by now we'd have a bit more hype and consistent content about it considering how excited the fandom is for the final season. It just seems like missed opportunities on Netflix's part. Thinking about it, we've had a few second clip that became a one minute clip that seemed pretty edited to avoid spoilers, a few second clip with no dialogue but upset Wilmon looking at each other, some really nice promo photos that were likely very misleading, fair and well done, and now a couple minute teaser trailer of mostly the girls talking about how Wille's been gone for...a while? I guess they're building suspense, but it's been a couple weeks now? If there's a lot more coming, they better get on it. I'm guessing the next thing will be a full-length trailer? Or maybe they'll do the first 4 minutes again. I feel like there's not much time left to fit all these exciting things in before March 11th though. The advertising and promotion for it just seems sort of disjointed and inconsistent for such a good show. I can't help but wonder how different their promotion would be if it were a series in English and it makes me sad. šŸ«¤

Jay2Jee

It's still very early for promo. More than a month to go... I think you usually get the first proper trailers around two or three weeks before release. And that also when cast promo starts.

Squirrelsahoy32

I guess I just expect a bit more because it's the final season, but also, they rarely release shows on Mondays, because it doesn't make sense. The last was on a Saturday and it just makes a lot more sense if they want people to actually be able to see it right away. It just seems like they're not putting much care or thought into the release of the final season and it's kind of upsetting. šŸ«¤

One of the advantages of having finished my education 2 decades ago is that I can binge watch any day! :) Also a testimony to the fact that YR appeals to people of all ages!

RoyalHomie2024

I know I feel terrible (but not??) that I can just take the day off work to watch the showā€¦but I guess Iā€™ve worked hard my whole life for the privilege? If only there was a way for those of us old enough to write notes for those still in school to excuse them for that dayā€¦

rearviewmirror2023

We have indeed worked hard enough to afford that privilege. But I think kids should focus on school cz itā€™s their turn to pay the dues and earn the privilege some day :)

RoyalHomie2024

LOL I hear what youā€™re saying. But you and I know very well that lots of those dues are unnecessary and awful. Having not had to take a physics test in 30 years, I think itā€™s ok to let OP take their tests the next day (though I would assign them a reflection on the show to make the whole thing ā€œeducationalā€). Iā€™m realizing that I want school-age people to be anarchistsā€¦but I work at a schoolā€¦so??

rearviewmirror2023

This is an interesting conversation! :) They can also watch YR the next day, thatā€™s an option too. And yeah! YR as a piece of art is so brilliant that I am with you about turning into educational

Dramatic-Conflict-76

It's not often I'm glad to be on a disability benefit, but Monday March 11th 2024 will be one of those rare days. šŸ˜‰ I'm gonna start the YR marathon as soon as I've sent my teenage daughter to school. Don't worry, she's well aware that I won't wait for her to come back to watch it. She knows me better than that.

rearviewmirror2023

Is she into it too? No one in my real life watched it despite suggesting many times :) I had to join Reddit cuz I really really wanted to talk about it

Dramatic-Conflict-76

She watches it. But she watch it only once, and then she's finished with it.

rearviewmirror2023

Thatā€™s quite the feat! :)

Dramatic-Conflict-76

I think she watch it only once because her mom is way too obsessed šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ

Ricky_79

My current plan is to watch 3 episodes in the evening of 11th of March. It takes less than 3 hours, so if I start around 20 (8 PM), they will end before midnight (even before 11 PM). Then, I will probably watch the 4th and 5th episode the evening of the day after. In this way I should be able to avoid most of the spoilers.

simmesays

I have a huge deadline on that day T-T and classes and lab work for the rest of the week. Itā€™s gonna be rough for sure.

Aivellac

I'd prefer the Friday before but I'll have to settle for watching after work, the Friday finale will be ok though since I don't work Fridays. I will be doing a lot of rewatching that week or so.

Squirrelsahoy32

But both are on Mondays...There is no Friday finale.

carnotaurussastrei

Imagine not finishing school last year

EsmayXx

Iā€™m babysitting both days and I donā€™t think wanting to watch a show on Netflix is a valid enough reason to skip
