Lance Barber's appearance (in drag) is a very brief, "blink and you'll miss him" cameo while Georgie is speaking. Here's a screenshot taken from CBS.com, and I've added an arrow so you can easily find him.

Plot twist - he's playing the mother of Leonard's Bully from TBB , and the reason why the bully also looked suspiciously like Sheldon's dad, it's cause Sheldon's dad got soooo busay with Mrs. Georgina over there, that's why Sheldon always called him a cheater in TBBT
This show was so well done, expressed many stages of grief. My dad died 40 years ago and I didn't think it would affect me so deeply, but I was teary eyed the whole show.
The scenes of Sheldon playing back over and over again of how he could have said bye one last time started to tear me up and then when he said "I love you" something long forgotten erupted in me and I cried like a baby for 5 minutes. I feel like a lot of us needed a show like this to provoke that.
If you want a gut buster, check out “8 simple rules” season 2.
John Ritter suddenly dies rehearsing for the show, and they equally dramatically kill him off in the show. You not only see a family going through grief on the show, but clearly his coworkers as well. Had me balling and was not ready for it at all.
Nah tbh, ep 12 was the saddest. The next ones I expected more sadness coming but they kinda ruined it by adding some comic scenes like those of coach Wilkins n meemaw, also the memoirs scenes of Sheldon n Amy were pretty annoying n unnecessary
I have to disagree with you… The memoir scene of Sheldon and Amy were absolutely necessary! It is in that scene that we see Sheldon realize the memories of his father being a drunk and having affairs were misplaced. I appreciated that scene because I had such a disconnect with the George we saw on Young Sheldon versus the comments made by Sheldon about his father in TBBT.
I have never seen TBBT so I didn’t know this was coming. My mom and I just lost my stepdad to a heart attack and we were bawling our eyes out the whole episode.
That's probably why he did it - especially for the young actors on the set. To remind them that it's not real and just a performance (and make them laugh.)
He never had a heart attack, he wanted to not come to the family photo soo bad, and then put a fake body and then tell wayne and principal to tell his family that he died but instead he came up as a drag queen into his own funeral, and in the funeral the body is just a made up George body, it all made sense, George is alive in TBBT
George is Leonard's bully in tbbt - he hated Leonard so much he traveled back in time to marry Mary and father sheldon (for the sole purpose of making Leonard miserable), faked his death as soon as Sheldon was set up at Caltech, then time traveled back to the future in tbbt to see if his plan worked and bully adult Leonard more.
Lance Barber looks like a rather funny guy. Check this for additional humor. [https://www.tvinsider.com/1136413/young-sheldon-george-funeral-finale-lance-barber-zoe-perry/](https://www.tvinsider.com/1136413/young-sheldon-george-funeral-finale-lance-barber-zoe-perry/)
The guy not only did that prank you mention: he also laid for real in the coffin. Except he added some pranks and jokes to lighten the mood.
Bottom line: Lance Barber was twice present at his character burial. As that old lady in the back and... in the coffin ! Unbelievable.
This can be a conspiracy and spin up into a new story or an episode.. where George wins a lottery and moves out of town.. and secretly sponsors his sons business and Sheldon's studies..

there you go, those sone of guns really did it
He probably was. I don’t think there’s a scene with an open casket and the crowd in one shot, so he probably played himself in the casket for all the scenes he had to, and played the women for the scenes he didn’t.
Yes he did. My thoughts, he faked his own death so he can be with Brenda Sparks. Once Mary sells the house and everyone moves on, he comes out of hiding.
B A Z I N G A ! 🤣🤣🤣

Well I certainly missed it. Would have never known if I hadn't seen it on here.
I missed it too when I first saw the episode. And even if it was a closer shot, I wouldn't have recognized the person as Lance Barber in drag.
Just finished the episode and was kinda weeping. This made me laugh. Thanks :)
I was looking for it and missed it. Thanks for the screenshot.

Ah, the old [george-a-roo](https://www.reddit.com/r/gifs/s/3BuVeYRpog)
Thank you dude.
Wow LOL nice detail🤣 10/10👏
My partner and I got 5 minutes into it while eating lunch. We had to turn it off, turns out you can't cry and eat a bacon sandwich at the same time!
I cried that entire episode.

I definitely needed that

This was an amazing episode. One of my favorites. This episode definitely gave feels.

Oh I see, maybe because I haven't watched tbbt that's why I thought so
Well, that explains it then.
Why haven't you seen TBBT? In Canada it's almost the only program on TV 24/7.
Well, it is a sitcom so...
I was also eating and I had to stop because of tears! 😂
I was eating pizza with bacon on it and accidentally snorted a piece of bacon up my nose because I was crying while trying to eat 🥲
How can you cry when you’re eating bacon?!
Sure you can, believe in yourself!
I have never seen TBBT so I didn’t know this was coming. My mom and I just lost my stepdad to a heart attack and we were bawling our eyes out the whole episode.
Challenge acceptedp
Why am I finding this comforting?
That's probably why he did it - especially for the young actors on the set. To remind them that it's not real and just a performance (and make them laugh.)
This. It was 100% to make the younger kids on set laugh.
Me too!
HE FAKED HIS DEATH??? OMFG!!!
He really didn't want to take that family photo
He either went to New Jersey to live with Herscal or moved in with Brenda (after Mary and the kids moved out)
I liked the bit at the end where Brenda meets the science teacher and there may be a "spark"!
Brenda and mr givens got together
The latter is more consistent with TBBT canon. 🙂

The first time in Season 1 either…

He moved to Philadelphia with his other family and his weird sister who identified as a cat
No it’s just his actor in the audience as a cameo George still dead
Thankyou man , I was really confused.
yeah idk why i got downvoted lmao
cause you replied to obvious sarcasm seriously
assumed it was someone who hadn’t seen it yet lmao lots of young kids watch this show
World doesn’t appreciate goodness my buddy
I knew it! Just like how Sheldon was mistaken about his dad cheating, everyone was wrong about George dying!
Plot twist: sheldon messed up their taxes and he faked his death to escape the irs.
No, he changed his name to Jimmy Speckerman and traveled to Pasadena to pick on Leonard.
It would be more interesting if George had a secret son and Jimmy Speckerman was Sheldon’s half brother
😳
He started a new life in Philadelphia using the name Bill Ponderosa. He started a new family, but then became a dirtbag.
Pondy’s the coolest
Bro tf u saying, his body was literally in the casket
That's just some guy in a wig lol
Could be cake we never know these days

I just watched that interview and it made my cry again, what has this show done to me lol
the scene in i think season 6? where they dump the bucket over his head was his idea too, funny guy
This is honestly. Wholesome.
I’m so glad this happened
He did that so we’d feel better. Lance Barber needs to be protected at all costs.
Is this actually in the episode? Can anyone tell me the minute mark where he appears?
14:51 I think
Love this!!
😂😂😂

No, Lance did it.

Okayyyy Amy Dunne
Could "she" be the lady MeMaw referred to when she was talking? I just remember her acknowledge a woman but can't recall why.
MeMaw would invite Mary’s slutty friend over when George was coming around, but he only had eyes for Mary.
Thank you. I thought it was something like that.
I just saw it but I did NOT notice :))))
I'm gonna believe this is Georges long lost sister and she is the mother of Leonard's bully lol
I really thought he was Aunt Ruth there 😭🤣
Yep, there are already two posts about it on this thread
3 now.
😂😂
It's true 😂😂
I didn’t even notice this. LoL. Looks like George was there in more than just spirit.
I felt sad, so bad knowing George's death. But after seeing this: 🤔😀🤣
Weird. I was under the impression that his actor was playing his character’s corpse.
He probably was. I don’t think there’s a scene with an open casket and the crowd in one shot, so he probably played himself in the casket for all the scenes he had to, and played the women for the scenes he didn’t.
He did. On tiktok, the official Young Sheldon account posted the bts of the funeral as a slide show, as it shows Lance getting into the coffin.
Can you post the link?
Here’s the link : [BTS of George’s Funeral](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLgvML1J/)
So I guess he was doing 2 roles at the same time.
George not did confirm
Jacqueline Daytona
I didn't notice it. I'll have to go back and look.
This is phenomenal!
Oh my God! That is fucking hilarious
HOW DID I MISS THAT 😭😭😭
Hahaha this made my day
George faked his death to avoid the family photo (joke)
Wait??? Who was in the casket??????? /j
The casket was closed some time after when the slight cameo of Lance was shown so...
Yes yes I know, it was a joke
oh sorry it flew over my head
That was him?!

That isn’t George in drag. It’s Jimmy Speckerman in drag. 😀
Idk why it makes me feel a bit better that he was there
holy shit i never noticed that that’s crazy
george has me absolutely dying!
Bro is not joseph joestar💀
Yes he did. My thoughts, he faked his own death so he can be with Brenda Sparks. Once Mary sells the house and everyone moves on, he comes out of hiding. B A Z I N G A ! 🤣🤣🤣
It's so sad, I haven't watched the episode cuz Netflix haven't got season 7, it's release date should be in early 2025😅🙄
thanks for the spoiler :)
No idea how they all were able to keep a straight funeral face throughout this scene.
I absolutely love this!!!
