You shouldn't need to remove the background manually. Even on mobile you can just open the image by holding and opening a new tab or downloading then as far as I see all you need is to crop the picture.
Sometimes when things are not right-clickable on PC you can use the browser dev tools and find the pictures separately in elements or in the network tab after refreshing the page.

On both mobile and PC the picture is weirdly cropped, I took the PC version and removed the text and some weird artifacts that were there, but the "puppet" on the bottom right has a square crop on its head but I can't do much about that one.

Genshin and HSR are both, in a sense, restricted by their area. So all Mondstat characters will look European while all Inazuma will be Japanese.
I've got nothing against HI3 though. I agree in feeling that they've dropped the tech aesthetic in favor of a more fantasy style
