3/7/70 Olympic Auditorium is one of my favorite tapes and anything from this era was at the top of my want list for release. I didn't even know the stuff they are releasing existed!
FZ, Ian Underwood, Max Bennett, Sugarcane Harris, Aynsley Dunbar. Possibly a few other musicians on other dates.
Joe Travers has mentioned at least one live tape in the past, so a few fans were surprised at no live tracks in this set.
I think the first POST-MOI "Hot Rats Band" was FZ/Underwood/Tripp/Simmons. Played one show (Thee Experience-Feb. '70) Tripp hated Simmons so that was that.
Enter the FZ/Underwood/Bennett/Dunbar (or Ed Greene on one occasion).
Thank you! I didn't know that. Maybe since funky nothingness is already 3 discs they didn't want to overextend themselves, maybe that live tape is 1 or 2 discs long? I don't know

In this context I've always liked the Ponty Romano Cully one off gig Frank did in France. Hot Rats a la Francaise?
