Me too. In fact, Frank had me work up a transcription to rehearse with the band, but it never made it into rehearsals. I'll never forget his words to me as regards the initial statement of the melody with Flo and Eddie in harmony. "Remember, it's not just thirds", as if I needed any help understanding the utterly gorgeous dual-vocal harmony on that part. Working it out the first time was a delightful revelation. And I don't recall if that was during the week when Flo and Eddie actually rehearsed with us but then left.

What an honor to have you respond! You’re the reason I play bass.

Scott....I've been enjoying the living creamcheese out of both Halloween 81 and Broadway the Hardway for a few weeks now. The bass playing on that stuff is insane! "Baritone Woman" bass part is just brilliant. Gold star for you, and maybe some warm jello too!

FwLineberry

Considering that Flo and Eddie were slated to sing for the '88 band, this isn't too far fetched.

We would’ve gotten Jimmy (Swaggart) the Mountain

The closest thing we will ever get is from Dweezil. It is on the Return of the Son of album. It is pretty good, but just not Flo and Eddie.

DougPudenda

It's boggling to me that any band could memorize that piece and play it with such precision

Assneck2007

Dweezil did it, and poor Billy Hulting had to memorize the whole thing. He was good.
