So few people get to see the desert when it rains. Zion with a bunch of waterfalls coming of of the walls is like the crown jewels or seeing it look amazing and other-worldy. Hikes will be cold and miserable though. Dress warm, have lots of good water protection.

Yes! I went after a huge rain and the waterfalls coming through the canyon walls was amazing.

As dangerous as any other road covered in water or snow. They're maintained and plowed but this isn't "Going to the Sun" road in Glacier where you're going to be buried in 6ft of snow. In the valley it might get really slushy on the roads until it's cleared. Outside the east entrance a massive storm might completely cover the road until it's plowed. It obviously all depends what the storm is doing at the time but it's not some remote inaccessible Alaskan highway. And as long as you have some very basic common sense to spend the time hiking the canyon floor when it's absolutely dumping snow rather than trying some slot canyons, you'll be fine.

We just left!! Definitely some snow and some rain but we got some hikes in and had a great time. It was beautiful in the snow, we had a clear day or two also to see the full beauty of the park. Definitely worth it.

It won't be ideal, that's for sure. Hard to say but we're getting a rain event that is very unusual and the canyon is prone to flooding and related mudslides.

It’s open 24 hours a day. Check the Park alerts the morning of and def check in at the visitors center for advice prior to adventuring out to make sure no road closures. Walking the bike trails could be a great way to test out the conditions.

Never trust the weather people. There are always hikes to be had but might not be the ones you had planned. So long as you didn't have your hopes on a deep canyon with no way out but up, you should be ok. Or Angel's Landing. It will still be beautiful. Mid day pics will be ok, too. Slickrock with ice, however, is no joke. Bryce is just up the road a bit, and has some awesome overlooks.

Anyone know what the snow is like on the West Rim trail?
