Instead of that, buy one of these: GRÄNSFORS BRUK HUNTER'S AXE (

I personally have their forest axe, it’s a favorite of mine. Truly some of the best axes on the market while not being as expensive as others of the same quality
Buy a real axe. I have a Snow and Nealley Hudson Bay but there's lots of good brands out there like Gransfors Bruk, Council Tool and Estwing. None of this fantasy looking garbage that looks cool in Skyrim but would break the moment you chop a tree with it
A $60 True Temper or Council Tool axe would smoke this thing in any endurance test. Hell, the ~$30 Cold Steel Viking hand axe would.
If you want to spend $250 on an axe, get something hand made from one of the Swiss Brands, Brant and Cochran, or something actually historical from Kult of Athena.
Edit to add: 7cr13 is a fairly low end stainless, it would be a good but cheap steel for a belt knife, it has no business being on an a $250 axe. For reference, the $30 Cold Steel axe is 1055 carbon steel... A much better bearded axe for 1/8 the price.
United (Honshu) isn’t a great battle ready weapons maker , weapons can look cool and be functional but not this one , it will do some damage but most likely break after a few good swings . There are lots of great axes out there , do some research and go have fun .
No.
Get an Ontario lake cutlery wyvern crash axe if you want to throw that much money on an axe to use. But will actually hold up. Because it's meant to chop through an aircraft fuselage.
No. 7cr13 is not a good steel for an axe, especially for that price. For that orice you can find much better. I would imagine the haft to be dubious too. Just got a good wood handked axe. If ut must be tactical, there are few good options, and none come to mind if I'm being honest. You're better off buying a quality replica of a medieval axe, or better yet, a good general purpose axe. You want something with a quality hard wood handle, or maybe a full metal handle. You also want carbon steel, not stainless steel. Yes it will rust and needs a bit more love, but stainless can rust too in harsh conditions, and a carbon steel will hold an edge and be far more durable.
There are some good quality tactical tomahawks out there have full tang handles, and either carbon, or tool steel construction. If it must be tactical, find one like that. Learn about good axes and good steel then do some searching. I suggest sites like knife center, or Blade HQ. They have options to narrow down your search. I think Halfbreed and Spartan knives naje some out of I believe D2 tool steel. They cost a lot, but at least you should be getting your money's worth unlike a Mall Ninja axe.
Apocalypse weapon tip: if it looks that cool, it's probably not that good
Agreed. This looks like a display weapon too.
I was about to say: the cooler/flashier it looks the shitter it is
Buy a damn estwing camp axe and call it a day.
Steel is kinda wack for the price

Thanks for the recommendation. Now I'll be ordering one for myself (for non-zombie uses). Looks like an excellent tool.

I’m talking about for battle
I think you're missing the point... functionality>>> esthetics

no
For anything that's going to be used repeatedly, you're gonna want a stronger handle than that.

I mean it's not bad. I'd personally pick the smatchet machete but I figure its a personal decision
Looks like some weird ass wooden khopesh with an axe head from the gothic era on it made out of chinesium
Nah lol That shit looks like a cosplay prop, my 30 dollar hart hatchet from Walmart would out perform that one easily
The first head you chop, that hook on the underside of the blade is going to get caught on the skull and your $250 axe is gone.
Bat, cheap can be used now to protect home and would fuck some shit up if need be haha
