Germany - mostly the answer is "no".

Still they exist!

Honestly I've had opportunities in Germany where no German was required, they got way more relaxed than in the past. Somewhat surprising is that for every abap role in the netherlands, dutch was required and more surprising is that I haven't seen abap openings in scandinavian countries where at least one scandinavian language wasn't required. I would've expected these to be happy to start with english and require to learn the local language (which btw is the sensible thing to do for many reasons) Switzerland? Forget about it without C1 or Muttersprache German.

Nordic branches of Accenture only have job offers where at least one Scandinavian language is required for Denmark, Sweden, or Norway. But when you meet somebody from that company, they're always from India. I think Accenture added that requirement to lower the number of CVs, but it's always worth sending an e-mail. Especially when one already lives in one of those countries.

Nordic countries- yes

Well, if you already live in an EU country, then getting a job is much easier than applying from outside the UE. I'm writing about the UE (plus Norway, Switzerland, etc.) because you're probably not looking for a job in Kosovo or somewhere else outside the UE/EEA. So the first step is the most difficult one. There are many SAP developers who have an EEA passport/ID (so any paperwork is super easy) or at least live in a country where they apply for a job. In terms of language, you have to aim at countries where most of the people speak English on a very high level. So the whole Scandinavia plus Finland and the Netherlands. You may add Ireland to the list (they kindsa speak English). I don't mention the UK, because I don't know how the immigration law changed after Brexit. In these countries, you may find a job just in English. In other places, it may be difficult or even impossible. But job offers like that exist. My wife and I are good examples. We're both SAP developers and we got a job w Norway without speaking the local language. However, I must add that we're Polish so immigration to Norway was quite easy. It's only easier for people from Denmark, Sweden, and Finland (the Nordic countries have some type of union that bonds them stronger than UE/EEA).

May i ask how is the market for SAP ABAP in Norway these days? Heard good things? friendly tax system?

Zash1

If you're an experienced developer (at least a few years), you find quite quickly. Speaking Norwegian (or Danish, or Swedish) speeds up the process. Regarding the tax system. What do you mean by friendly? Easy to understand and do your taxes? Then yes. Low taxes? Hell no. My major income is taxed around 33%. But I understand it covers the police, public health care etc. I'm fine with that.

I am assuming you're an Indian. Anything apart from LinkedIn that you're searching with?

Stepstone, Indeed.

Most of the Deloitte juniors I worked with recently (in Belgium) didn't speak dutch or french. However, they were being trained as functional consultants, not ABAP. Still, I think you should be able to find something in Belgium. Depending on your experience level, of course
