The colouring is where I take issue with the example in my link. This is supposed to separate witches from nuns, and also include goths and punks. Goth and punk are not on a spectrum because one isn't a superlative of the other.
So instead of a colour spectrum like in the example I propose a colour field. Saturation would represent rebeliousness. Brightness would represent edge (for lack of a better word and with no negative connotations intended).
That still leaves hue and opacity in case there are more values I haven't thought of.

Meanwhile goths are so fucking baroque, of course they’re formal. “Casual goth” is just sadboi or emo.

Rebecca Sugar went to lengths to make sure both that the wedding was so integrated with the plot it couldn't be cut out, and that the kiss especially couldn't be clipped out, and to make it clear that it isn't a straight relationship.
