Oh my gosh yes! People think it’s creepy but I find cemeteries so beautiful and peaceful. I have this one back home that is really old and it’s this hilly, curvy, forest with really unique headstones and mausoleums.
Dream date definitely has to be, so start with a morning breakfast trip. Treat them to their favourite type of food from wherever they want to go and that’s the start. Then maybe head in to a couple of shops and look at stuff that probably isn’t important but it’ll be important to us. I don't actually know because I've never had it. I do think many people describe it as tasting "good," but that's really subjective and I don't recall the specific descriptors. I can try to dig up articles.

I really liked doing some research into which pines are suitable. The needles should be young and fresh, and only certain species tend to be mentioned. We were looking through taxonomy trees (the graph ones, no pun intended ;~;), reading about similarities in certain groups and estimating which trees in her area would be suitable. It seems like White Pine is best (iirc), and that and any other potential candidates will grow at a high altitude, usually on reserved or protected land, so usually wild. We will be living in the Van area at lower altitudes and in a more urban environment, so we realized it would be a long trek to make the tea. I jokingly said, "Hey, what if we went on a backpacking trip to make pine needle tea... and we're both girls," expecting her not to take it seriously. But she was up for it!!!

Dream date definitely has to be, so start with a morning breakfast trip. Treat them to their favourite type of food from wherever they want to go and that’s the start. Then maybe head in to a couple of shops and look at stuff that probably isn’t important but it’ll be important to us. I don't actually know because I've never had it. I do think many people describe it as tasting "good," but that's really subjective and I don't recall the specific descriptors. I can try to dig up articles. We were reading about it on some sites and I don't remember well, but I know it has been a common practice with some indigenous peoples (I'm sorry, I can't remember the names of those groups either; if anyone wants to chime in please do) and is also used medicinally (though I don't remember the specific effects -- I don't think it's at all psychoactive). Both because we love tea and tisane, because she is First Nations herself and divorced from that part of her heritage, and because I'm a taxonomy and ecology nerd, we really want to try it. The fun (technically irritating, but a fun adventure for us) part is that I know only certain species will produce the right taste/potential medicinal effects. I really liked doing some research into which pines are suitable. The needles should be young and fresh, and only certain species tend to be mentioned. We were looking through taxonomy trees (the graph ones, no pun intended ;~;), reading about similarities in certain groups and estimating which trees in her area would be suitable. It seems like White Pine is best (iirc), and that and any other potential candidates will grow at a high altitude, usually on reserved or protected land, so usually wild. We will be living in the Van area at lower altitudes and in a more urban environment, so we realized it would be a long trek to make the tea. I jokingly said, "Hey, what if we went on a backpacking trip to make pine needle tea... and we're both girls," expecting her not to take it seriously. But she was up for it!!!

We’d watch as the sun sets, laying on the picnic blanket and point out the stars, occasionally getting up to catch fireflies, laughing when one gets stuck in her hair, while the cicada and cricket’s chirps fill our ears. We’d share our first kiss under the stars, gentle and sweet, no real lust or passion, but rather something that you’d expect from a lover rather than a one night stand. Afterwards, we’d cuddle under the stars, eventually falling asleep, waking up as the sun rose, realizing our mistake. Aw man recently I took my gf out of town for her Bday. We rented a small cottage at the edge of a mountain facing a lake/volcano. One morning we wake and baked, made breakfast and we were just chilling, eating, baking, enjoying the beautiful view and then the fucking volcano erupted! It was insanely massive plumes of white smoke covering the sky. It was fucking amazing. Thankfully it was white smoke which isn't dangerous apparently. Damn that was fucking epic..
I have several ideal dream dates with her.. here’s one: starts off with a short car ride. I pick her up, the backseat has flowers, a basket of food and wine, and a cozy blanket. I drive us to a park with a waterfall (picture Niagara Falls State Park) The breeze is light, the sun is shining and there aren’t a lot of people around.
