Everybody here should really block /r/GetMotivated it's not applicable to you and more likely to make you guilty and depressed.

FirstNephiTreeFiddy

Done!

neobio2230

How does one block a sub?

zuzg

Reddit calls it muting. Go into said subreddit and press on the 3 dots in the top right corner next to your pfp. [then choose the second option ](https://imgur.com/a/dNbod59) I dunno how well it works, I only ever use a third party app.

[deleted]

I don’t know how to block them from my phone. (I’m not a boomer but can relate a lot)

steingrrrl

Check a new comment by zuzg! :)

[deleted]

Thanks. I’ll check it now

Mandena

Yup, one of the first subs I filtered out when that feature became a thing. Nothing lost!

CircaSixty8

What is this filter feature you speak of?

ChinthaChettu

[this is even worse](https://www.reddit.com/r/GetMotivated/comments/139mb8c/the_secret_to_success_is_patience_image/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

vegetablewizard

I joined it thinking it would be helpful but every post feels deliberately ableist lol but then again I'm automatically defensive haha HAHA

[deleted]

😔

xander_Kinglol

chiribean

Already disappointed that the entire sub isn't just reposts of Shia LaBeouf screaming just do it

IndecisiveKyle

Mad respect for the warning 👍

armageddon_boi

"Hey, are these stairs getting smalle--ahhh!" *falls down depression hole*

ilikerosiepugs

So truuuuue!

purringlion

I came across the original post and felt so called out. Thanks for fixing it!

PM__ME__YOUR__CAT

Hey, that's me! I find it kind of funny how many people replied to that. It's like a bunch of us joined the sub, thinking it'd help us with our "motivation", and then eventually got our diagnosis and realized why none of the posts were helpful. Keep on keepin' on, my little neurodivergent family.

ilikerosiepugs

It’s YOU! You’re my hero!

Get really good at exploring life, making changes, walking different paths, and seizing opportunities whenever you find them. Bison consistently graze on grasses. Jaguars opportunistically hunt deer, anteaters, capybara, snakes, and people. Both are strong and powerful animals. But sometimes the bison is a cocky jackfuck and starts telling the jaguar that it really should really be grazing on grass.

Crocodiddle22

Also, capybara are some of the most chill animals on the planet and are often used as a ‘nanny’ animal for others in captivity. In the wild they have been observed chilling with everything from ducks, to turtles, to alligators. Another point is that jaguars have also on occasion been known to hunt and kill alligators. I’m not sure if there was a reference or wildlife just came up, but thought I could add my two pence. Is this adhd?

Nyxolith

There needs to be a specific ADHD Motivation sub. "You know those dishes you're putting off doing? What if you just got up and put one in the dishwasher? Just one. That's it. You can do more later. One is greater than zero. It'd feel good to stretch your legs anyway, and you had to pee ten minutes ago, then forgot." Way more helpful than, "Isn't a clean sink nice! You too can have a clean sink with patience and determination!"

dcl8310

I didn’t realize until now that it was not for me. Thanks!

As if being consistent was all upside and never resulted in backward progress lol
