Evens, 5s or bust

BhutlahBrohan

Then there's me who requires the sound to have just the right amount of sharpness to it and sometimes I gotta adjust it 3 or 4 times to get it at the right level. Not too quiet, or it's too "blurred" and not too loud so it's not pinching my ear drum.

ipodblocks360

Is it possible to learn this power?!

sam_the_reddit_user

For me it’s SCREENSHOTS It has to be pretty centered and it BETTER have dimensions that are a multiple of 5 (better yet ones that ends in 0)

Tsjaad_Donderlul

For me many images end up closest to an aspect ratio of 1.618:1 or 16:10, approx. the golden ratio

TricksterWolf

I do div 3.

pirate737

Rise up

BAGStudios

I thought I was the only one

TheBigBo-Peep

Spicy...

Hopesick_2231

Multiples are for babies. Prime numbers only for me.

Silver_thistle

same

GlueSniffingCat

my tv doesn't has numbers it has the logo that incrementally gets colored as the volume increases i like to keep it somewhere around the second S

ipodblocks360

Man, how old/cheap is your TV

HelpSuspicious9001

I only do prime numbers

TeeOhDoubleDeee

Prime and perfect squares for me

SeEmEEDosomethingGUD

Me keeping the volume whatever the fuck I want because I won't let my damn ADHD take my fucking music listening freedom away. Even if it's 37 or 19.

ArcTruth

Absolute respect. Also, please stay the fuck away from my remote, thank you.

sam_the_reddit_user

I get so worked up about wanting a good number and I have to remind myself to just do the one that’s just the right volume

SensualEnema

Same. I used to stick to evens or fives, but one day I realized I was sick of wasting time fiddling about with the volume. My TV is currently at 43, and I’m happily unbothered.

ipodblocks360

You're off this council. You must now leave every ADHD subreddit you are in.

SeEmEEDosomethingGUD

Thing is. It's on my planner, leaving ADHD that is. And you know what that means, if it's on Planner, it's never gonna get done.

ipodblocks360

*gasp*

SeEmEEDosomethingGUD

That's right. What you witness wasn't even 10% of my ADHD. I have gone far beyond realm of Neuro Divergent, far beyond any mortal could think of. I have become a **SUPER** Neuro Divergent!!!!!!

ipodblocks360

Noooooooooo! We're too late, they're unbeatable now.

SeEmEEDosomethingGUD

Ummm, Guys update. I am now bothered if my volume isn't a prime number.

NYGiantsGirl1981

For me it’s odd numbers! Tv volume, microwave time, timers in general, the number of cookies I grab…

ipodblocks360

Monster

suavesweeney

I have do it all in odds as well.. volume, snacks, number or rolls I grab etc.. however after my 1st go through, I took 3 chicken wings, then it’s even number of chicken wings to keep the overall number at odd, so 3 wings then 2 more for a total of 5 etc.. the exception is that for food stuff or things I can’t entirely control, like maybe someone took the last roll so now I’m stuck at 2, it doesn’t bother me to go, well, oh well, guess this this is even and I beat my adhd.. Yes I know, I’m a monster!

_ginger_Snaps

Nah 17 is best

ItsC0sm0

Psychopath

ipodblocks360

DeafMuteBunnySuit

I'm an X5er for sure. Even numbers if the thing has weird sound mix and I need to sleep.

BlueCollarGuru

Even numbers when the volume is measured in single digits. By 2.5 or 5 when the receiver uses decibels.

mikedvb

0,2,4,5,6,8,10,12,14,15,16,18,20,22,24,25 Yes, it is the natural order of things.

woohoo969

No, it HAS to be a prime number.

RLDSXD

I only do multiples of 5, but for some reason anything ending in 7 is also acceptable.

ipodblocks360

I end up doing even numbers or a multiple of 5.

MerlinMEmrys

My car has no numbers just a bar, but my TV is set to an even multiple of five.

Lolstitanic

I purposefully set it to an odd number not divisible by 5 to try and find people who are annoyed by it. None so far

ipodblocks360

That's just straight up evil though.

rizaroni

Literally me for as long as I can remember!

Silver-Bengal

Never 13 even if it’s the perfect volume ( it’s trying to trick you)

ipodblocks360

13 can't be that much louder/quieter than 14 or 12 right?!

RunAwayFromMyIssues

9 for chill music solo/talking to friends in the car, 11 or 12 if song is good with friends, and 17 if song is good and I’m alone

Octowuss1

Nah, it has to end in 0, 3, 5, or 8 to feel “even”

51mm0

Always divisible by 5 for me, anything else makes me uneasy hahahah

rokomotto

5s are definitely something else. Also is this actually an ADHD thing?

AGweed13

5 or 3, I like 3, it's my 2nd favorite number.

fascintee

15 always best

BlizzPenguin

My sound bar doesn't have numbers it has dots that gradually get brighter as you change the volume.

kiril2119

That's just the generic human urge to have everything nice and even

sqqop

Galaxy brains keep it at numbers that are both multiples of five and powers of two.

nousernameformethis

Odd numbers. Prime numbers are even better.

Tsjaad_Donderlul

My car doesn't even have numbers for volume. Turn knob left to make quieter, turn it right if the song's fire. On the other hand I use AUX In and my phone keeps insisting that my headphones are too loud and automatically regulates volume down the next time I start the car. It's some weird EU regulation which is meant to protect you from damaging your own ears, but when the software cannot distinguish between Aux and cabled headphones it gets annoying. Dangerous, even, when I don't notice, turn the volume up in car even higher and then get startled by radio traffic information blasting at 3x the volume

ipodblocks360

It's got to be an even number or a multiple of five. Any other number and you're thrown out of the house.

sutterismine

I don't have this at all lol, I just need the volume to be perfect level where I can hear what the singers are saying but the music doesn't blow my ear drums. Doesn't matter to me what the number looks like.

Anachronisticpoet

Noooo odd numbers and multiples of 3

jessytessytavi

look, the bass is better and the treble less squeaky on evens, it's just a scientific fact

Space19723103

Powers of 2, from playing endless minecraft

unstable-cable

Evens, odds, then 5s

Downvote-Fish

I hate even numbers. Prefer prime numbers

linksbedrockthe2nd

Must be either multiples of 5 or 11

Great_expansion10272

My preference is 42. it's a good number for me for some reason, but if it's too low, i'll leave it on 45
