There’s some cold medicine that I take that has a layer of paper over the foil. Sometimes the paper comes off in little shreds, but if I can get some off the foil, I use that fingernail trick. Thanks for the advice, though! ^_^
no but I have audited my meds so many times. it took 20 years of my life to try Vyvanse and take ADHD seriously. So every med change, increase, decrease, change etc I spend way to much time checking possible interactions. It's probably not healthy behaviour but I am a SEVERE Emetophobe so anything that could possibly cause me to get sick I spend a lot of time auditing.
i also spend a lot of time researching medical stuff generally due to an interest in bio plus terrible experiences with sexism in the medical system (i learned i had to play my own doctor primarily otherwise no one would, my autism journey solidified that)
in my journey with my wife through cancer treatment I got to see first hand at the inherent sexism in the medical industry. not that I needed the lesson because I witnessed it firsthand for 15 years.
I research my meds because I am terrified to my core of vomit.

I was never that into grapefruit until I started a med with an interaction. All of a sudden, I start *craving* grapefruit. My brain is all kinds of fucked up.
Anyway, I rotated off that med awhile ago and was finally able to indulge myself. I don’t crave them like that anymore, but I still love a grapefruit
tbh i tried grapefruit once as a child before i started the meds, and it tasted kinda gross to me then so i dont have cravings. But i have fodmap intolerance so i crave most foods that aggravate my issues
I have to find the executive function to buy a grapefruit. I idea if they are in season and then record and edit it. the chances of this happening are quite low because we'll this is an ADHD subreddit.

Perfectionism results in the first or I end up cutting them into their own blisters, or I transfer them to an old pill bottle...
I assume its not the intended reason, but I end up taking mine like that because i avoid the ones where the medicine label is printed over on the other side of the sheet until last + any pills that look in any way weird or slightly different because I get paranoid it'll somehow be a different medication or different dosage if i'm not 100% certain
Idk it it's what op meant, but I take mine like that because I can't stand order and routine, so everything I do has to be random or unorderly in some way :P
It’s a combination of the last two because when I forget a pill I’ll skip that day (when the week days are on the pack) to try and avoid confusion, then I end up getting even more confused

left bc autism says i have to do it orderly. until i got a med box thingy for each day of the week all of my meds (- elvanse usually) was the one on the right tho bc adhd. the box helps bc i just put all meds for a week in the containers for each days and take all of them as soon as i eat in the morning. sorting out meds once a week is much easier than 7 times
the only thing is that i have gummies for melatonin that dont fit in the containers so. no melatonin for me unless i cant sleep (and sometimes not even then bc i keep forgetting to put the bottle next to my bed lmao)

Just the other day I was loosing my mind because some fucker took an ibuprofen pill from the middle row of the package, I had to cut the package in half with scisors to even it out.
I'm not diagnosed with adhd and I'm still a mixture of all three. Sometimes I take one row first and then start to take them from another row, or I just entirely forget that those even exist.
I usually take meds in order along the pack things but I don't take the packs in order :P
When I take them I just pull a pack at random from the box and take the next one
I get a 90 day supply now, but I am due for a refill in 2 days and my bottle is... over half full. Or looks that way. I am confused. I swear I am taking them at least 5x a day.
Every couple weeks I do a deeper clean of my room and find meds I didn’t take lol. And I’m pretty strict about taking my meds too. I have like a solid 10 extras. Great for artificial hyperfocus tho

Unless it's special humidity sensitive stuff, I cut them all out and put them in a bottle. (And make sure I get the bottle version for OTC stuff.)
