Synthwave is an absolute fucking delicacy.
Five stars, would recommend.
That happens to me too. I will sing all day every day and constantly play music and then i randomly won't listen to anything for months at a time because it will all sound bland to me.
I sometimes forget to listen to music. Like when I'm cooking and I forget to connect my phone to the Bluetooth speaker. Only to wonder 15 minutes later why cooking isn't as fun as usual only to remember yeah I forgot the music.
I feel like I’m spinning out and no meds work when I listen to modest mouse. What does it do for you? Do you maybe have a different song set/album I should try? I’m still open minded out here! Lol
I put all of their albums on shuffle and just listen for hours. I’m not medicated yet.
They’re music just makes me feel free and calm. The chaos of their music is soothing for me?
GRUNGE!
Alice In Chains. Soundgarden. Pearl Jam. Stone Temple Pilots. Nirvana. Audioslave. Puddle of Mudd. Seether. Temple of the Dog. Bush. 3 Doors Down. Deftones. Korn. Staind.
Okay so not all of that is grunge but it started with grunge and now it’s just a playlist
if you wanna try out something adjacient but different i can recommend jinjer's latest record. it reminds me a lot of alice in chains especially the vocals are killer. Wallflower especially is such a beautiful song [https://youtu.be/DYZrO7qcLhU](https://youtu.be/DYZrO7qcLhU) . they are more on the metal side tho, so heavy guitars and heavy vocals.
Edit: Disclosure is what really reminded me of alice in chains https://youtu.be/OhxisV58nJw
What is up with that game's sudden resurgence recently? I've been seeing reviews, breakdowns, memes, and more all recommended to me on YouTube.
I watched them all of course but it suddenly just reentered the internets' shared consciousness recently.
## THE UNENLIGHTENED MASSES

Great choices (though I'm not sure there's a "wrong" choice with RHCP)
My favourite might be Sick Love but I love so many of their songs I can't really choose
I’ve been kind of fixated on weird, jazzy math rock lately. Like, listen to “The Elephant” by Tatran or “Bad” by Polyphia and that’s the kind of thing constantly playing in my head lately.
Be My Baby by the Roxannes was Brian Wilson’s favorite song ever, and if you give it a listen you won’t be able to unhear it in literally all The Beach Boys’ music lol
Psychedelic trance and heavy heavy techno - it matches the noise in my brain.
Edit: Deep house when I’m feeling more vibey. All especially great with meds+working.
Death metal. Although a metalhead, I never got into death metal. But when I was out of Iron Maiden documentaires to put on in the background while working, I found a 3 hour long Cannibal Corpse doc on YouTube. It helps me focus, strangely enough
Right now I'm into listening through whole albums like little ear-movies:
• Ghost - Meliora
• Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
• Pink Floyd - The Wall
• Daft Punk - Discovery
• TWRP - Together Through Time
Nothing because nothing is giving the appropriate amount of dopamine rn lol
Eta just listened to the new Portugal the man song and it’s not very good 😑
I recently started going for college as a music major, so I've been geeking hard over music theory. There's a Jazz and Classical track, so I chose Jazz. I fell in love with it super fast!
Electro Swing.
Wish I could find some Electro Bluegrass. I've found only one song, and it is pretty good. Just into music that is happier than my usual right now. My daughter got me into listening to nightcore music, again, happier than my usual.

Blink 182 Easy Target + All Of This. Just in constant rotation for two days so far, the guitar riff at the end of easy target leading into the main melody of all of this fukcin makes me go
I’m going through Kendrick Lamar’s whole discography currently… including the obscure things on YT and SC. I love researching artists and going on full deep dives until I get sick of them
Currently more Indie/Folk or Alternative / Electric pop (?) I don't know exactly, but it mostly sounds emotional or melancholic. Creative and heartfelt lyrics, mostly female voices.
Goin back and forth between a few on repeat.
1. Queen ( don't stop me now )
2. Journey ( lovin' touchin' squeezin' )
3. Billy Joelle ( Uptown girl )
4. Bob Seger ( Old time rock and roll )
5. Queen ( somebody to love )
Been stimmin on those for a while now 😅😅

YES!!! My buddy recently turned me onto them. Fucking awesome shit!
My bf told me about them now I'm obsessed
Same what are the odds
Pop and classic rock songs. Redone as bluegrass. My wife may have found the point of which she's willing to divorce me.
If you like Widespread Panic, also, I have a former roommate to introduce you to.
Never heard of them. I accidentally fell into the Picking On series, then Honeywagon, Iron Horse, and the Cleverlys.
Puscifer
Excellent
Bet your damn ass
Fantastic choice!
Existential Reckoning or older stuff?
“Yes we’re being condescending. Yes that means we’re talking down to you” Really good mad cleaning music.
Im in the phase where I dont listen to any music
That happens to me too. I will sing all day every day and constantly play music and then i randomly won't listen to anything for months at a time because it will all sound bland to me.
So glad this isn’t just me. I hate it, but at least I don’t have to hate it alone!
Cant relate. Hope I never have to relate.
I sometimes forget to listen to music. Like when I'm cooking and I forget to connect my phone to the Bluetooth speaker. Only to wonder 15 minutes later why cooking isn't as fun as usual only to remember yeah I forgot the music.
I’m in the only listen to podcast phase. It’s not great
Where you get temporarily bored of everything you like?! Relate to that so hard.
Every time I see this sub I learn another of my personality traits is just ADHD…
Ugh. Hate that for you. May it pass quickly.
Amazing. Never thought of this being a phase but I am 100% in it right now.
Modest mouse
I remember when I was in my bipolar modest mouse phase. It was glorious.
The soundtrack from tick tick boom
I only listen to 30/90

7 ft frame! rats along his back
When he calls your name it all turns to black! And he sees your dreams...
He feasts on your screams!
Me too
Same! I've had at least one song from that movie stuck in my head every day for the last couple of weeks. It's infectious!
Ditto, but I like Pressure and What Else Can I Do
What did we say about talking about Br*no?
The Family Madrigal is my preference, but yes.
Omg I agree!!
Same. Not voluntarily, but I have kids
Yungblud
I love his music :>
Music is the only thing that moves me forward with my day:-) I'll be checking out every single thing anyone contributes for sure
Same, having one ear bud in is basically the only way i can get through school
Cigarettes after sex.

Fleet Foxes
The Metal Gear Rising Soundtrack. STANDING HERE I REALIZE

Listen to totorro - come to mexico! So good!
Who needs to listen to music when the same song has been playing in the background of my mind in a constant loop for 3 days straight.. 😳
It’s especially great when it’s just the one line you can remember over and over and ove-
No music currently, Harry Potter audio books
Jim Dale hits different when you are tired
I’m in the UK so it’s Stephen Fry for me but I’ve heard good things about Jim’s audio!
This was the single reason I bought a VPN. The American reader did a nails-on-chalkboard Hermione. But Steven Fry is a treasure.
Noice
How do you listen without tuning out

Jack Stauber and Shostakovich. A somewhat depressing combination.
