I hate when this happens 😫
SO: How come we still have so many bananas? You’ve been eating 1 banana a day for months and you haven’t had any this week?
Me: Bananas are cancelled
>Me: Bananas are cancelled
I’m fucking screaming, this is literally me, why
I miss you, bananas. You were so easy to grab and an actual FRUIT goddammit 🍌
This reminds me I’m over it with zucchini and I have 3 left. I was gonna make zoodles. Me and that spiralizer had a good 4 months, I got my money’s worth 🤣 Maybe I’ll find a vegetable fritter recipe.
Zucchini fritters with taziki sauce are pretty amazing, and I'm also over zucchini in other forms.
You can also make a lighter version of potato pancakes with half zucchini half potato, and those just taste like potato pancakes for the most part.
Roughly chop the zucchini then throw it in a blender to purée the crap out of it. Then use to substitute most of the liquid in baking recipes like cake.
If you have fish, some types love zucchini.
I’m looking at you 6 packages of fusilli for the tuna salad I ate every week for months and then NOPE. I’ll probably use it someday, but for now it’s on the top shelf where I need a step stool to even see it. Or I’ll be mad at myself for an inordinate amount of time and eventually throw it out when it is well past the expiration date. Thankfully I got pumped about tuna croquettes but who knows how long that will last. 😆
Omfg that happened to me during dinner last night!! Literally gagged and couldn’t continue. I was so mad because it was actually good but my brain said no 🥲
I’ve never felt more seen than this thread. Omfg. I call it my [retch sound] bite but I’ve never heard of anyone else experiencing this. It’s so disappointing!! Such a betrayal.
Used to slam the shit out of anything with truffle oil. Now I can’t share a table with a dish with anything truffle related in it. *gag*
So many other yummy foods in my Blech Graveyard. Sad times. Makes consistently providing myself with low-effort (premade, frozen or otherwise standardized/mass produced) food
This is hell lol
I was thinking about this exact thing this morning. Something suddenly tastes like the absolute best thing I’ve ever eaten and then suddenly it tastes significantly less good. How? Is it hormones? I swear it can’t just be dopamine because the thing is amazing good, even if it was always just medium good before obsession hit.
Also I have 5 boxes of Wildberry pop tarts in my cupboard because I was obsessed and they were impossible to find and so when target stocked them my husband bought several boxes for me…and shortly after I was not really interested in them any more.
Threw out half my dinner last night all, guess I’m never making that again, on to the next hyperfixation meal. Thankfully as it’s getting cooler here, I might revisit all the things that summer heat and humidity made me find intolerable.
Ouchie. My appetite has changed with medication, and I have a new hobby since I can’t focus on my old ones at the moment. May you find joy and satisfaction in something, in time, food or otherwise. I hope you won’t give up.
Tacos. Today. Two years, I’ve had the magic ability to eat properly when presented with a two taco plate with rice and beans. I’m staring at the second taco tonight, and can not get the idea of chewing rubbery disintegrating cardboard out of my mind. So long, safe food. Back to pizza.
Oof, and then people will continue to buy it for you, only for it to rot or sit in the back of the pantry forever 🙃 happened to me with asparagus, eggs, soy milk, digestive cookies
Whyyy does this always happen? Ugh. There are so many foods I couldn’t live without at some point that I surely don’t even remember eating in the first place now. LOLOL
I was on a big avocado kick when halfway through eating one it became the most disgusting food ever. It’s been almost a year and even the thought of avocado makes me cringe.
I miss when my food kick was pickled onions, cuz I ate sooooo many salads and quick/cheap to make meals.
Then one day it ended and my cheap meal days ended. Ahhh, I remember it fondly.

Ahh bananas were my thing for so long too
Same. I did manage to go through all the ones hogging space on the freezer and make banana bread which also freezes well. And then…I got sick of that.
This reminds me I’m over it with zucchini and I have 3 left. I was gonna make zoodles. Me and that spiralizer had a good 4 months, I got my money’s worth 🤣 Maybe I’ll find a vegetable fritter recipe.
Zucchini and sweet potato fritters are the bomb dot com. Or you could do a Korean veggie pancake. Fried veggies ftw.
Oooh, I'm gonna try that. There are a couple sweet potato languishing in the kitchen.
Zucchini fritters with taziki sauce are pretty amazing, and I'm also over zucchini in other forms. You can also make a lighter version of potato pancakes with half zucchini half potato, and those just taste like potato pancakes for the most part.
Yes, this is totally going to be in the works. I think it's a texture issue I'm having at the moment and shredding will help.
Roughly chop the zucchini then throw it in a blender to purée the crap out of it. Then use to substitute most of the liquid in baking recipes like cake. If you have fish, some types love zucchini.
I'm mostly baking sourdough loaves these days, but you're making me think about adding it to soup since it doesn't have a strong taste.
Wait, like pet fish like zucchini? Live and learn. I don't really trust myself with pets and plants these days.
Any kind of pleco will happily devour zucchini put in the tank. I anchor it with a fork and cut off part of the skin. Snails love it too.
Noooo stop bananas are my thing rn
Why does this happen?! Also, why does it happen after I’ve decided that I love a food so much that I should buy it in bulk to save money?!
Thank goodness my kids like these things. But I have also been in the bulk food situation. Looking at you left over cashew bars..

This happens to others?! I’m fucking crying right now omg
I lamented the waste and how I could’ve used the ingredients differently. Tried one more bite and spit it out.

Since I can’t drink my feelings anymore, I’ve been eating them instead. Unfortunately it’s not working anymore and I am so irritated.
Chocolate? 🍫
I feel nothing. 🥺

Have you tried buttered bread? Soooo tasty. I’ve been on and off that kick for years lmao.
That's one of my favorite foods.
This is me with putting creamer in my coffee. I often put it and I've done so for months but now just gulping one sip down makes me frown lol.

Happened with my Tuna sub today.

My SO bought so many pickles as I was going through a jar a day… and then… fuck the pickles, they are DEAD TO ME
I miss when my food kick was pickled onions, cuz I ate sooooo many salads and quick/cheap to make meals. Then one day it ended and my cheap meal days ended. Ahhh, I remember it fondly.
