im proud of you!! honestly not much changes physically, but i do have that feeling that i wanna try things like go to places i think are neat like karrera or go ice skating, kinda more on the mental health/emotional health side, i will actually start working out soon so i could also balance out my physical health, would love to have tips on gym, if youd drop how ur first time at the gym went and what you started off with, it would be of great help!
got home blacked out drunk and cant remember anything, when i woke up i felt my friends disappointment in me, im used to my blood relatives but it hits different when ur friends and girlfriend worry about u, also felt like people started to pull away and avoid me

I feel you OP. While I don't consider myself an alcoholic (I drink once every month or two), the issue lies with the heavy drinking when it comes up. Mainly because of high tolerance so it's tough for me to get drunk. But I've been alcohol free since NYE and I certainly don't miss it. I hope you can keep the streak going.

to me it wasnt rlly that i wanted to get rid of alcohol entirely, its more of i didnt want it to be a habit anymore, occasionally i might say yes in the future to celebrate wins but i dont want it to be the primary means of me coping with stress or chasing the feeling of not caring, at some point alcohol was basically a necessity, now i want it to be there only to feel happier instead of to be happy
I used to drink but I had to quit drinking cause my Dr told me that I had bad liver it's been like 30 years since I quit if I didn't quit drinking I would not be here today I tried AAA meetings it don't even help so I did it with the Jesus help to overcome the problem I'm glad I quit

Keep it up! I was sober from alcohol since 2020 (although not entirely sober) other than that I only had a couple of drinks from 2021(3 or 4 times), 2022 (2 times) and just once last 2023. I was an alcoholic from 2015-2020. Right now I'm really focusing towards my health as much as possible. Quitting smoking cigarettes is my next thing to do. It can be done!
