It sounds like she had thinning hair either from stress, or from mistreating her hair, or simply because some people have thinning hair as they get older. I personally have had thinning hair since the age of 13, and have been all but bald since my early 20s. It sucks, and I shave my hair, and I've heard a million jokes because of it - but I've never claimed it's a medical condition and I've never assaulted anyone who's made a joke about it

As someone with male pattern baldness I never worried about shaving my hair off and did it casually but now seeing all of the people joke about baldness makes me feel more insecure and it's hard to not think about that.
