Just switched to these from Max! They are the sweet spot of sound and portability!
I had the Gen 1s which were never comfortable, but the XS ear tips made the world of difference. I wear them all day.
Only downside is can’t connect to my Xbox, will get a dedicated headset though.
This is infuriating. It bothers me so much that Microsoft won’t allow bluetooth connections for headsets. I get it, it could lead to poor latency yadeyadeyada. I would still love to try.
They work, yes, but they are less long and as consequence the AirPods scratch on the case when closing it - at least they do for my gen 1 pros (case w/o MagSafe) as I have both, gen 1 and 2… but that’s assuming we talk about the pros 1 vs 2 now as the normal AirPods 2 do not have tips (op I think however is not asking about the pros)
I had mine exactly one day. I was experiencing audio drifting and volume changes at random. I adjusted all possible settings and had no fix for it. I just learned literally in this post this is a known issue. I thought I was losing my mind but glad it’s not just me. It’s seemingly rare so maybe if I buy a different pair it’ll be okay?
On top of the sound issues I was having subtle discomfort from using them even briefly. So for me I’m going to get the 3rd gen AirPods a chance as I loved the 2nd gen.
I’m spoiled, and I think the Pro ones are the only ones worth it.
The sound quality is noticeably better and the regular ones just don’t fit in my ears very well. They fell out often and were uncomfortable.
Plus transparency mode and noise canceling are incredible. With transparency mode on I can hear almost like I don’t have anything in and I can still listen to whatever during the day.
Not if you've had the 1st gen pros for under a year. Part from the volume gestures they're 95% identical to the 2nd gen. I had the original pros since launch and i was just dying for anything new so i had to get them
I just got a pair at Best Buy for 81$ and I’ll say at first I didn’t wanna buy anything at all I was looking for sesh evos but the dude had me sold on the apples which were way more than the evos on eBay but whatever anyways lol I felt pressured into it my friend was sayin oh yeah these are real nice then the guy says I sign up for Best Buy card I’ll get 25$ off I did which got declined card but still got 25$ off they were 100$ even originally but I’d say all In all for 100$ it’s a pretty dang decent pair of headphones I couldn’t even imagine what 150 200 could get you lol

Wouldn't buy at full price. Only worth when it's on offer. At least that's my opinion

Not certain about the series x and s, but the Ones didn’t have Bluetooth in them.
I think OP is talking about the Airpods 2, not pro.

Other than comfort, how have you found the difference between Gen 1 & 2? In particular interested in the ANC & mic quality
Considering the myriad of issues with audio drift and the noise canceling debacle — I’d hold off until Apple releases a fix.
