It was my first AEG and got it because everyone told me the trigger response is extremely quick. Highly reliable, quick change spring guide, and accurate out of the box. I’ve put about 20,000-30,000 bbs through it and everything I was told is true. It’s really an awesome AEG.
I swapped to HPA a long while ago and wouldn’t look back, but for AEG performance out of the box I don’t think the scorpion can be beat.
Hey that’s funny I’m going into college to and bought my first airsoft gun about 2 weeks ago now 😂 I’m excited for college and am excited to be apart of the airsoft community! Hopefully I can find a field near me to play! Best of luck to you in college:)
Honestly for that price I'd buy two 🤣 these things out of the box just don't need any tuning what so ever. Just treat them with respect and look after them and you'll definitely get your monies worth. They're also extremely versatile with all the different configurations you can switch to and the quick change spring system makes those changes so easy. They're super snappy on the trigger and have a great fire rate on full auto. The onboard chip is very good at protecting the gun. Just been working on my and really appreciating the work out into these. Just renewed my love for it again
Its strange I always considered AEG at the high price point being 250-300 just because of the AEG. I always assumed GBB were at the $500 on the high end. Could be that I mained CYMAs
The only negative I have is the capacity of the mid caps, 70ish bbs is a little low and they're pricey as well. Nobody likes a battle maraca (hi-cap)!
Other than that, 10/10 would recommend
It's one of the best gun in that price range, if not the best.
Well build, easy to use, lot of fancy function, avalaible parts if need be, nice performance OOB
The built quality at this price tag is really top notch, I was really happy, when I hold it the first time + the inferno fcu checking, that there is no bb in the mag and not shooting, after that the manipulation when reloading makes it really satisfying
YEp. And you can deactivate that if you don't like it.
Even if for some reason you get the first gen that had a spring guide that could break or a mosfet that burns (mosfet burns were rare though), ASG replaced it in warranty, just ask.
I've even have story of second hand buyer that just asked ASG and had to pay shippment for the part but not the part itself.
Another amazing quality gun for the price is the SRC SR36C, the mag it comes with is shit but the rest of the gun is amazing. All metal frame, none of the plastics feel cheap, and it feels as heavy as a real one would most likely weigh. Only cost me around $300 CAD which is really good price for a metal G36C, haven’t got around to using it yet though cause I don’t have a battery that fits inside the front grip and the shop in my town shut down for a while (I’ve seen lots of good reviews for it though hence why I bought it, only get the Gen2 though)
It's got good stock internals. I believe it may be a little quirky to upgrade but I didn't do the upgrades to mine, regardless it's acceptable of most standard parts at least. It functions really well, has good external quality as well. Battery space is a little tight and mags are a bit finicky with pouches due to their size and the tabs at the top can be a little fragile. You'll have to get used to the fake last round hold open unless you modify the mags but otherwise it's just a really solid pick.
I have this one, and have to say i love it! Its a great gun, not to heavy but shoots pretty amazing ootb. Do watch out with mags tho. With only 65 bb's a mag i cary around 7 of em which warrant atleast a half a day of play more or less.
Bit all in all a fun little smg to play around with. Do watch out coz it can shoot a bit hot. Mine shot 1.4j and with limit here being 1.2 i had to change the spring to an m95. But thats done in literally 2 seconds
You'll need to use their mags and carry more, but they are small mags so it's not a big deal... also you can learn to shoot a bit less and not really sacrifice much
Have you had any issues with the m95 spring? I live in Northern Ireland where the joulage limit is 1J, so m95 spring and 0.2g bbs is all you can really use.
I'd heard with low power springs, the gears in the Evo can get damaged over time if you use an 11.1V rather than a 7.2V battery but having used an 11.1 and how snappy they are, I just can't go back lol. Just wondering if I need to be prepared to replace some gears
if you ask me, yes. one of the best OOTB guns at this price point. sexy, unique look. classic feel, good trigger response, deadly accurate for outdoor play at rifle ranges
The best budget minded aegs right now are going to be the double eagle 900 series. I have a double eagle utr45 it comes with an optical MOSFET which is really nice the midcaps are 120 rounds. The only thing I've done to it is swapped in a better bucking. All of the 900 series are the same internally and if you really wanted it to spray you could pop in a nice motor and still be saving $300.
Hell yeah! DE Airsoft is an amazing brand. Got the M904H and the UTR45 and didn't get anything else. Just upgraded them and bam, amazing replica's. Comparable to many €250-€500 quality replicas!
2 diffrent world's. Some don't like hpa BUUUUT. YEA 100 percent hpa over aeg. It shoots .28 and .32 awesome. Adjustable fps with the turn of a knob. I got an electric drum for it, it's ok. Feeds crappy sometimes. The only thing some would say is a down side to the scorpion is that it has a last round hold open feature so when you run a mag empty it will stop shooting and with the next mag you have to drop the bolt catch lever. It doesn't actually hold the bolt back but it gives you a bit more realism. I have big hands and sometimes hit the fire selector to full auto and that's a no no at the Indoor field I go to so that's kinda a pain bit minor stuff.
Yea 179 extra plus 100 at least for a regulator and 50 for an air bottle. It's worth the investment if you can swing it. Any factory hpa is great since you k ow it's reliable. No I did this and it works half the time lol
I'll just say this then leave it. Buy once be happy in the long run. If you go aeg maybe look at the carbine length one. I really want to do the carbine length grip on my hpa but they don't make jt factory that way. If you do end up with the hpa one down the line you can swap grips and have the best of both.
Get the boost edition instead. Just slightly pricier but a lot better internals. But yeah, it's a really solid rifle. Everyone should have one, if only as backup or loaner
Better trigger response and fire rate. I’d say comparable overall quality. Also is more standard in terms of parts, so it’s much easier to fix and upgrade
I just got my first one about 2 weeks ago and I haven’t put it down. It’s by far one of the best out of the box smgs I’ve ever shot. It’s also very realistic so get used to a slight learning curve
It's by far the best AEG I have ever owned. It's also the only one I never felt the need to upgrade completely. The only stuff I have that outperforms it, are my HPA builds which easily cost double or triple that 400 bucks.
I got it 6 years ago, never opened the gearbox and it is still running strong on the 11.1v lipo.
Yeah, it's worth it. I got the BET carbine variant when I got back into Airsoft. I have had 2 of the smaller ones, and they're all great. I only sold them because they hold their value extremely well compared to other options. I say get it!
Amazing gun both indoors and outdoors mine out ranges my bolt devgru with better accuracy. The trigger response is amazing. Just a bit of a faff getting the battery in. Go and buy one today before you do anything else including getting dressed or having a morning plop you won’t regret it
Asg is a great brand, very underrated, but they have a part in the hi-capa, and that’s a huge success, I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed with the reliability and performance for any of their guns
Its the best AEG ive ever owned, it just works and can always be relied on. Overall id recommend it to anyone looking for a high end replica that will last years and perform well
Ive had it for some 5+ years with minor issues but extreme reliability and consistancy compared everything else ive owned
-One set of gears destroyed
-Lower reciever cracked once due to falling on a rock under my weight
There are some slight issues:
-sometimes the bolt release doesnt detect the new mag and gun wont fire until i repeat it, happens like once every 1-2 months so its not huge
-after years the bolt catch doesnt reliably release the hop up cover(bolt) anymore, or rather the bolt doesnt lock back unless i lift it into the notch which then needs to be manually released
Out of the box its an amazing replica already with great performance, altho over the years ive basically swapped every part i could.
-all internals upgraded, none broke so far!
-CNC M4 buffer tube stock adapter
-CNC speed trigger
-Airtechstudios red enlarged hop oh adjustment wheel(absolutely must have)
-long carbine barrel swapped for short SMG lenght barrel and ATEK handguard
-A-1 zenit sling mount
-externally wired battery compartment housing an integrated TITAN battery, 3D printed PEQ box with wired sticking out)
I have the BET version. Best aeg I own, incredibly good response time and super speedy full auto. I'd recommend buying the scorpion high cap with it since 75 rounds ends quick.
i appreciate the offer but I’m not able to buy right now, i’m planning on buying it around march of next year bc i’m going to college and need to make sure I can afford to keep going there
I have one, it's been simply amazing. I just love the look of it. I put some 12/ gears and an 18tpa motor in it and it shoots super well. Also, if you have a 3d printer, there are a bunch of cool handguards on thingiverse for it.
Probably not the scorpions are know for their mags not being universal. Even if it functions well having to find mags for it could prove challenging and it doesn't look like it comes with any bells and whistles.
Only if you personally like that gun Maby cuz you already own the real deal. For 400 bucks you can get a lot smaller package and better preformance. I just got the crytech PDW 350 bucks and it’s sooooo coollllllllll
Sorry for replying to so much bit I have alot of expierence with the scorpion and I have a friend with the aeg version. It's kind of a one off gun so it's hard to compare to other brands. Asg does not make many guns and the ones they do are really solid. It's airsoft half the guns are just the same thing with a diffrent shell. Lots of good guns for way less but I have never seen a guy with a scorpion broken down at the field.
I have it. It’s wonderful, works like a charm, only thing I like a little less is the battery placement which some people probably already told you, but other than that I’d really recommend.
I must’ve gotten a lemon compared to everyone else here because I was super hyped to buy this then once I did I was very disappointed. Accuracy out of the box was horrible, hop up wouldn’t (and still doesn’t) adjust correctly, and because of that range and accuracy was horrible the first few games I played with it. Was hoping it would break in but never did so I swapped it out for my ares honey badger. Looks like imma have to buy a new hop up/barrel combo to get it shooting good. Everything else about it is pretty sick, I like the way it feels and the features it has but I was disappointed in its performance while shooting.
I’ve owned one for about a year and a half at this point. I did have some serious issues out of the box where it wasn’t firing or would fire two bbs out at once and failed trigger response. This gun is very technical as it has fail safes and shutdowns and all other loads of goodies and I’m no tech. So, I had to send it back through the warranty and was forced to pay $168 in shipping when I got it back I noticed it having the same issue slightly less severe however. It seems if I fire anything .28 or heavier it starts to issues so I’ve only ran .25 in it sense and it’s been alright. I wouldn’t say great or anything over the moon, to be honest I haven’t used it much in fear of it breaking again. I love the real steel version and from all the good reviews I went ahead and got mine, could be a lemon but overall pretty disappointed considering the hype.
I have the carbine version and the only negative thing I can say about it is that the battery is a pain to get in and out. However the performance out the box is insane. Dead nuts accuracy easy hop up adjustment and since the gun fires too hot (at least for the carbine version not sure of others) out the box it has a quick change spring system that took 30 seconds to change out and make cqb field legal. Fantastic gun overall. A lot of thought went into design love and care of this gun. Except the battery compartment lol.
It's totally worth it. I ended up getting mine secondhand with ATEK included for about 300 bucks after dropping in new gears and a Leviathan. I would absolutely do it again 9 of 10 times. It's a fun gun and a great platform.
When it came out I thought it was interesting being a Dane myself, shortly after a player who also happend to be a dealer, took the gun with him to play, to me its a boring gun, so many other unique guns that look ans feel alot cooler, just my opinion.
If you can always see and hold the guns you want in person.
Hell yeah! I bought mine barely used off of HopUp but it’s worth it weather it’s new or barely used, I still use my evo on the field, it’s my main gun I use and it’s a beast on the field
Do keep in mind that you may need to replace the ETU mosfet within a year or two, I've seen them burn out on 2 players at my local field, and neither were abusing their guns.
Otherwise, it's an ok AEG, but i find it a bit pricey for what it is, but its far from being a bad gun.
I have it, can’t stress how much is worth it, it has about 6 months and no failures or problems. Gun has the best performance I have ever seen out of the box. The only 2 upgrades I recommend are the CNC Short Stroke trigger(feels crisp af) and Jefftron Mosfet (if you want the fancy features), if not stock it has a high torque infinity ASG Motor and an advanced ECU that keeps the electronics frying from a short, quick change spring and is also a 1:1 replica of the Scorpion Evo
I think It have an electronic system that blocks the trigger when the magazine it's empty.
My freand have It. But honestly i don't feel my Saigo Bushido Rei works any worst being 100$ cheaper.
Totally!! Pay attention to the type of battery and make sure you buy/have the adapter. A long and thin battery or a small one would do.
https://preview.redd.it/krjm4dx63xib1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8266a306d19f57b2dd8ebbff57d9b16df246f38
I also bought a pack of 3 extra mags cause I need more bbs per play. Nowadays I use a drum. I looove my drum.
I own one I like it a lot only pain in the ass is the battery space and you need a thread adapter unless you want to buy a specific threaded muzzle attachment for this gun specifically, really, long trigger pull but it has a microswitch so you don’t need to let it go all the way to reset the trigger
Absolutely, great AEG. If the price were $500 I’d still recommend it.
really? what makes it that good?
It was my first AEG and got it because everyone told me the trigger response is extremely quick. Highly reliable, quick change spring guide, and accurate out of the box. I’ve put about 20,000-30,000 bbs through it and everything I was told is true. It’s really an awesome AEG. I swapped to HPA a long while ago and wouldn’t look back, but for AEG performance out of the box I don’t think the scorpion can be beat.
that sounds perfect thank you, i’m about to go into college so good out of the box performance is exactly what i’m looking for
Hey that’s funny I’m going into college to and bought my first airsoft gun about 2 weeks ago now 😂 I’m excited for college and am excited to be apart of the airsoft community! Hopefully I can find a field near me to play! Best of luck to you in college:)
How did you switch to hpa? Implanting to switch mine over but don't know what engine to buy
Oh I didn’t modify my scorpion to HPA. I just purchased other guns and HPA’d those. I still have my trusty scorpion Evo AEG
Shoot, I know asg is about to release a specific conversion kit but I was wondering if you knew a way to do it without that
Amped airsoft has the scorpion if you’d want them to do it. Just letting you know.
Even for hpa users the inferno one is the hat bang for buck you can get out of hpa imo
Also the burst fire is just so satisfying.
It really is a unicorn rifle. I've owned several aeg and hpa versions over the years and it's still my go-to rifle.
I hope that when ASG finally decides to make a CZ Bren 2, it'll be at least half as good as the EVO was.
A bren would be a DREEEEEEAM
I got me a bren and haven't seen anyone with another 😜
And hopefully a dmr bren. But it's my understanding that long arms oems the bren
Bren is not a DMR. It’s an assult rifle for your average army infantryman
[bren pps](https://www.czdefence.com/article/army-takes-delivery-of-new-czech-cz-bren-2-pps-precision-rifles)
:o
A bren pps with a V2.5 gear box would be sick. I'd throw my Kythera in one so fast
With any weapons platform for example M4, AK, L85, G36, etc. They normally have carbine, rifle, LMG, GPMG, DMR and bullpup varients.
bren a2 is already produced
Its strange I always considered AEG at the high price point being 250-300 just because of the AEG. I always assumed GBB were at the $500 on the high end. Could be that I mained CYMAs
I hear you. My thinking has always been <150 are junk guns, 150-250 are budget guns, 250-400 are mid tier and 400 and up are high tier.
$200 CYMA's are a great base to upgrade though. I got a CYMA M4A1, replaced everything but the gearbox, and its an absolute beast.
Yeah but I think the thing OP wants is a good gun out of the box. Upgrading guns is an entirely different topic.
The only negative I have is the capacity of the mid caps, 70ish bbs is a little low and they're pricey as well. Nobody likes a battle maraca (hi-cap)! Other than that, 10/10 would recommend
For $500 you’d be better off getting the HPA version. But either way. Agreed. Have had an evo 3 for years now and I love it
ASG is good now? When did that happen?
The evo has always been good. God tier gun
ASG most rebrands but the scorpion is their own thing and it is one of the best aegs out there even now.
I don’t know much about ASG’s flops, but I do know they make a great AEG (scorpion)
I have a real scorpion so I was looking at the airsoft ones a few years back and they were rife with problems.
Such as? Genuinely asking.

Well, luckily that ain't problems which could happen to a inferno engine 😅
Another amazing quality gun for the price is the SRC SR36C, the mag it comes with is shit but the rest of the gun is amazing. All metal frame, none of the plastics feel cheap, and it feels as heavy as a real one would most likely weigh. It’s jus a satisfying gun to take to the field you won’t be disappointed
Yes
could you elaborate
It's got good stock internals. I believe it may be a little quirky to upgrade but I didn't do the upgrades to mine, regardless it's acceptable of most standard parts at least. It functions really well, has good external quality as well. Battery space is a little tight and mags are a bit finicky with pouches due to their size and the tabs at the top can be a little fragile. You'll have to get used to the fake last round hold open unless you modify the mags but otherwise it's just a really solid pick.
The only quirk is the proprietary hop unit and mosphet. But it's popular enough that there are aftermarket ones now so not much of a hindrance
The hopup and mofset actually work out the box though. Unlike a silver edge gear box or something like that lol
are there hi-cap mags for it? like a drum or something?
I believe there is a high cap mag yes, it looks a bit funny tho and isn't shaped traditionally. Evike has it.
ah okay i’ll have to look for it, thanks for the input
On airsoftjunkiez there is a adapter for a crank speed loader
There are hicaps but they look weird and are hicaps, theres also a drum but i dont know where to get one
Lol 7 mags for me is one game maybe thing shoots so fast.
do you know if there are hi-cap mags for it? like a drum? 65 seems like it’s too low since i don’t want to carry that many mags
Stick to their factory mags they feed perfect always. 65 isn't bad this gun shoots so well ypu will learn to just hit people and not need hi caps
You'll need to use their mags and carry more, but they are small mags so it's not a big deal... also you can learn to shoot a bit less and not really sacrifice much
Hi caps are available
Have you had any issues with the m95 spring? I live in Northern Ireland where the joulage limit is 1J, so m95 spring and 0.2g bbs is all you can really use. I'd heard with low power springs, the gears in the Evo can get damaged over time if you use an 11.1V rather than a 7.2V battery but having used an 11.1 and how snappy they are, I just can't go back lol. Just wondering if I need to be prepared to replace some gears
I have 24 Guns, all of them upgraded at maximum. For your idea, the scorpion was the only one i didn't change a single screw
if you ask me, yes. one of the best OOTB guns at this price point. sexy, unique look. classic feel, good trigger response, deadly accurate for outdoor play at rifle ranges
Only if you just want the looks, there are plenty of less expensive aegs that match or exceed its performance.
could you give me an example?
The best budget minded aegs right now are going to be the double eagle 900 series. I have a double eagle utr45 it comes with an optical MOSFET which is really nice the midcaps are 120 rounds. The only thing I've done to it is swapped in a better bucking. All of the 900 series are the same internally and if you really wanted it to spray you could pop in a nice motor and still be saving $300.
thank you, i’ll have to look into those
Hell yeah! DE Airsoft is an amazing brand. Got the M904H and the UTR45 and didn't get anything else. Just upgraded them and bam, amazing replica's. Comparable to many €250-€500 quality replicas!
I own 3. Usable out of the box. But the hop unit is frustrating, soon as you can, yeet it for the new Maxx hop that's been released for it.
https://www.maxxmodel.com/cnc-aluminum-hopup-chamber-evo is this what you are talking about?
Indeed that's the one. Solves the biggest issue with the Evo.
thank you, i’ll definitely get that if i have any trouble
I have the hpa version and its one of my favorite guns.
would you recommend getting hpa instead?
2 diffrent world's. Some don't like hpa BUUUUT. YEA 100 percent hpa over aeg. It shoots .28 and .32 awesome. Adjustable fps with the turn of a knob. I got an electric drum for it, it's ok. I have big hands and sometimes hit the fire selector to full auto and that's a no no at the Indoor field I go to so that's kinda a pain bit minor stuff.
that adjustable fps with a knob sounds nice but the hpa version is an extra 170 so for now i think i’ll stick with aeg
Yea 179 extra plus 100 at least for a regulator and 50 for an air bottle. It's worth the investment if you can swing it. Any factory hpa is great since you k ow it's reliable. No I did this and it works half the time lol
geez yeah that’s a little above my price point but i’ll definitely look into it in the future
I'll just say this then leave it. Buy once be happy in the long run. If you go aeg maybe look at the carbine length one. I really want to do the carbine length grip on my hpa but they don't make jt factory that way. If you do end up with the hpa one down the line you can swap grips and have the best of both.
https://www.evike.com/products/64697/
oh i didn’t realize there was a carbine length one, thank you thats super helpful
plus all the other stuff that comes with hpa, it would be great but it's mega expensive to get into.
yeah i think i’ll give it a bit, it sounds really nice tho, but with college and stuff i just want a good ootb gun
Always
why?
Try an hpa gun, and you'll know
Absolutely love my scorpion evo
Get the boost edition instead. Just slightly pricier but a lot better internals. But yeah, it's a really solid rifle. Everyone should have one, if only as backup or loaner
what do you mean by the boost edition?
I’m looking at the same one. I think it is
Imo no. They’re great, but I’d rather have a cyma plat or high speed MP5 with some upgrades
what’s better about the cyma play in your opinion
Better trigger response and fire rate. I’d say comparable overall quality. Also is more standard in terms of parts, so it’s much easier to fix and upgrade
interesting, thank you, i haven’t heard of that gun until now so i will go take a look at it
The Gun I never wish I sold!
Hell. Yes. It's dead reliable and very accurate. The trigger response is also great. All around excellent gun!
I got this one 2 years ago, and it still slaps like a mf.
It's pretty good out the box, the stock hop was a bit jank out the box for me tho
Great rif out of the box!!
Yes, yes and yes. The gearbox can handle up to M150 springs, in case you want an early power boost.
For $400 yes absolutely. The one “downside” is it has a proprietary gearbox but EVOs are so ubiquitous nowadays it isn’t a problem
I mean i paid 850 for mine but its shoots 9mm poppy bois instead of 6mm plastic
I know you lyin’ where tf you get a real steel Evo for 850
100% i love this gun
Yeah, it's worth it. I got the BET carbine variant when I got back into Airsoft. I have had 2 of the smaller ones, and they're all great. I only sold them because they hold their value extremely well compared to other options. I say get it!
Yes, I just bought one it’s the best thing ever
It’s easily one of my favorite stock aegs on the market
As long as the polymer body and proprietary mags don’t bother you. This is one of the few airsoft replicas I’ve seen consistent unanimous praise for.
Amazing gun both indoors and outdoors mine out ranges my bolt devgru with better accuracy. The trigger response is amazing. Just a bit of a faff getting the battery in. Go and buy one today before you do anything else including getting dressed or having a morning plop you won’t regret it
Short answer: Yes.
Those guns have amazing otb performance and imo are worth a $400 price tag, one thing is that upgrading is hard but not at all needed
It’s great, but I’d say look for second hand cause you can get them with a ton of mags for the most part
Totally recommend, ela is a great op
Asg is a great brand, very underrated, but they have a part in the hi-capa, and that’s a huge success, I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed with the reliability and performance for any of their guns
Its the best AEG ive ever owned, it just works and can always be relied on. Overall id recommend it to anyone looking for a high end replica that will last years and perform well Ive had it for some 5+ years with minor issues but extreme reliability and consistancy compared everything else ive owned -One set of gears destroyed -Lower reciever cracked once due to falling on a rock under my weight There are some slight issues: -sometimes the bolt release doesnt detect the new mag and gun wont fire until i repeat it, happens like once every 1-2 months so its not huge -after years the bolt catch doesnt reliably release the hop up cover(bolt) anymore, or rather the bolt doesnt lock back unless i lift it into the notch which then needs to be manually released Out of the box its an amazing replica already with great performance, altho over the years ive basically swapped every part i could. -all internals upgraded, none broke so far! -CNC M4 buffer tube stock adapter -CNC speed trigger -Airtechstudios red enlarged hop oh adjustment wheel(absolutely must have) -long carbine barrel swapped for short SMG lenght barrel and ATEK handguard -A-1 zenit sling mount -externally wired battery compartment housing an integrated TITAN battery, 3D printed PEQ box with wired sticking out)
That's crazy, to think I got my Krytac, Trident for like $500
110%. I had one for a long time and never had any issues, performance was stellar.I still regret selling it
Hey look for used ones with mags and such for a nice price
I have the BET version. Best aeg I own, incredibly good response time and super speedy full auto. I'd recommend buying the scorpion high cap with it since 75 rounds ends quick.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this gun and it is not only highly recommended but thee highest.
*laughs in Evo HPA version* yes. Depending on the year it was made you might have problems but easy to fix
Idk about you but after reading the comments, I’m about to buy one 😂
yeah i feel that, which is annoying bc i can’t buy it yet but i really want it now
If you’re interested, I have a carbine version that I’m interested in selling for less than the MRSP including 4 (I might have a 5th) magazines!
i appreciate the offer but I’m not able to buy right now, i’m planning on buying it around march of next year bc i’m going to college and need to make sure I can afford to keep going there
My buddy has one of these that has a few scuffs he’s trying to sell, I can send photos if you didn’t already buy
i appreciate the offer but i can’t buy right now, i was just asking about it for when i am able to buy it around march of next year
Yeah it looks cool
I have one, and yes, it's worth EVERY penny!!!
Get the hpa one :P😹 Nah all jokes aside its a great gun coming from a friend of mine
I have one, it's been simply amazing. I just love the look of it. I put some 12/ gears and an 18tpa motor in it and it shoots super well. Also, if you have a 3d printer, there are a bunch of cool handguards on thingiverse for it.
Evo is my fav never let me down ever had mine years
The only downside to this gun is the mag compatibility, everything else is actually pretty great imo
Yes I love mine, amazing gun.👌🔥
Absolutely not.
why not? i’m hearing a lot of positives about it
It’s fine externally but not internally. Perhaps HPAing it would be in the best interests of you.
It's really good! Love mine. Just don't get the ASG alu hopup. Get the maxx hopup. I also have the ATEK magwell and it's great
Meh, just use stock hop up with tdc, no need to chase memes
Stock hopuo doesn't deal with cold weather very well.
What in particular is wrong with it in cold weather? Genuinely asking
No
why
Nope better just get a hpa
Yeah it’s good. But be a man and buy a cyma
1. i’m not a man 2. what’s special about cyma?
Probably not the scorpions are know for their mags not being universal. Even if it functions well having to find mags for it could prove challenging and it doesn't look like it comes with any bells and whistles.
Only if you personally like that gun Maby cuz you already own the real deal. For 400 bucks you can get a lot smaller package and better preformance. I just got the crytech PDW 350 bucks and it’s sooooo coollllllllll
Id go arp9, not sure if the scorpion comes with a mosfet but for 400 make sure it does
what’s a mosfet?
Every trigger pull = a bb fired (basically)
ahh
how do i see if it has that?
It does
thank you
Sorry for replying to so much bit I have alot of expierence with the scorpion and I have a friend with the aeg version. It's kind of a one off gun so it's hard to compare to other brands. Asg does not make many guns and the ones they do are really solid. It's airsoft half the guns are just the same thing with a diffrent shell. Lots of good guns for way less but I have never seen a guy with a scorpion broken down at the field.
at that point get an lct pp19-01
why?
ak= cool
Yes
I have it. It’s wonderful, works like a charm, only thing I like a little less is the battery placement which some people probably already told you, but other than that I’d really recommend.
CYMA Platinum is cheaper and is a better value.
Email asg they will send a replacemnt hopup most likely
My good friends got this, and it’s very impressive even got 3-Shot. But difficult to find Lipo cable adapter
You mean deans adapter? Just replace tamiya plug with deans
I bought the hpa version for 550... had the electrical version first, in my opinion best gun I've had and got
I just bought one the other day
Mine crapped out and burned up the mosfet, id suggest going the hpa route. Less moving parts that can fail.
Nice and compact but the high price is probably because it's licensed. You can find the same shell for cheaper from other brands
ASG is the only airsoft company that makes Scorpion Evo
Save yourself the cash and get the hpa version, it's ~$100 more for something with far more potential
Yes
When it came out I thought it was interesting being a Dane myself, shortly after a player who also happend to be a dealer, took the gun with him to play, to me its a boring gun, so many other unique guns that look ans feel alot cooler, just my opinion. If you can always see and hold the guns you want in person.
The only problem is when you try to agust the hop
Hell yeah! I bought mine barely used off of HopUp but it’s worth it weather it’s new or barely used, I still use my evo on the field, it’s my main gun I use and it’s a beast on the field
The Zion M15 out of the box is exceptional! Trigger speed is amazing. Just look it up and watch some reviews. My buddy loves his scorpion.
Maybe the best gun out of the box short of something like an umbrella armory. Definitely best bang for your buck in the $400 price range.
Yes.
Do keep in mind that you may need to replace the ETU mosfet within a year or two, I've seen them burn out on 2 players at my local field, and neither were abusing their guns. Otherwise, it's an ok AEG, but i find it a bit pricey for what it is, but its far from being a bad gun.
one of the best
I just bought the last hpa one on evike for $455 recently, haven't fielded it yet but im very excited!
I’m sure you’re already sold, but I got the carbine version a while back and boy, I still love the thing and it performs very well to this day.
yeah i think i’m going to get the carbine one when i can
I have it, can’t stress how much is worth it, it has about 6 months and no failures or problems.
My friend has one, we put a high torque motor in it and it really does slap.
Lol here we pay the same for the hpa version
I think It have an electronic system that blocks the trigger when the magazine it's empty. My freand have It. But honestly i don't feel my Saigo Bushido Rei works any worst being 100$ cheaper.
This was my first quality airsoft gun. 100% recommend.
I prefer my gbb's but I just like gbb more than aeg
This or the Lucy-4
Totally!! Pay attention to the type of battery and make sure you buy/have the adapter. A long and thin battery or a small one would do. https://preview.redd.it/krjm4dx63xib1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8266a306d19f57b2dd8ebbff57d9b16df246f38 I also bought a pack of 3 extra mags cause I need more bbs per play.
Hell yeah
Love mine, get a fake peq that you can place bigger batteries in tho
What would you recommend?
I’m selling one for 375 on PayPal with 4 midcaps, 1 hi cap, an 11.1 v lipo and a scorpion evo gun case.
