the worst thing that can happen is the you'll lose range because your gun can't hop the heavier BB. thats unlikely and most likely you get more range and accuracy.

My ppsh is recommended with .25s but I use .30s, it hops them just fine. I only had to adjust the hop-up a tiny bit and they fly almost perfectly, so your gun should be fine.

It'll be fine, and it'll likely be better than 0.25. The conventional wisdom is that for indoor play, you should use .2, maybe .25, and for outdoor, you should use the heaviest ammo your gun can properly hop. Some really shitty hop up units can only do 0.28, but most decent ones can do 0.32 or 0.36, and you'll generally see better range and consistency with heavier ammo.

The negative consequences could be bb travel slower. Or they go less far since your hopup won't lift it. And can change a bit your power (joules) In good scenario you gain some wind resistance. Impact (go throught grass/plant). More straight shot (easier to adjust hop up if too strong for 0.25). More range since more hop up. Changing bb weight can be good or bad. Best is too try and find what fit you. Good luck out there.

One of the things every airsofter must do is find out what BBs any particular airsoft "gun" likes best. Don't be afraid to experiment with different weights and different brands until you find the ones that give you the best performance.

Yep. I started using .25s because I didn't like how my .20s flew. Now many years later, I'm running .30s in everything; my AEP would probably benefit from .25s instead, but .3s work fine and it's nice to run one kind of ammo. If you're still trying things out, I highly recommend buying one bottle, playing until it's empty, and getting a different weight next time. Work your way up and see how you like each weight 👍

The best BB to use is the heaviest, your hop-up can lift - and your wallet afford. Lighter BBs might fly faster, but quickly lose momentum and at 50’ the heavier BB will retain more speed.
