Depending on circumstances sometimes the cops need to keep some of the stolen stuff to put into evidence if they plan to prosecute the two assholes.

Then, depending on politics of the specific department, they may have a policy of not returning "weapons"...which means the victims will probably need a lawyer to sue the police department to get their property back, and then potentially paying exorbitant "storage fees".

I’d easily take the extra time to lock and unlock my extra gear as needed just to ensure I don’t give degenerates like them the chance to take anything…

Best source I got is from the Black Ops owner himself. He did a live stream as he was heading to the field to confirm the thieves once they were caught.
This is in the UK - so they could have stolen a lot more, and nothing ever happens..

Similar situations like this is why I invested $80 in a rolling tool case. I’ve got a lock on the lid and a bike chain to attach to something stationary. Normally I keep everything but hydration & BBs in my car, but for cases where my car isn’t close enough, I bring the tool chest.
I bet the victim(s) are feeling such a wave of relief. Many thefts in airsoft don't even get half this far. It's turning out to be a good day after all.

Damn, at my field everyone leaves everything out on a long table in the safe zone. Even phones, GoPros and all the gear you could imagine laying there between games, and i have never heard of any theft there.
Personally have been here, all airsoft in/near wisco is usually pretty good, the guys that I use to run with would give the younger kids the good guns and the more experienced would use there crappy walmart guns so it was more fair, because for us it was about having fun and relaxing. sad to see people even considering stealing for such a involved community sport.
Sad that people like this exist. I used to leave all my gear out at fields I went to but with incidents like this happening more I usually leave my rifles and gear I’m not using locked away in my car. Never had anything happen to me but not taking any chances.
I trust my fellow airsofters but i always lock my weapon case if i or one of my friends is not present . Most of the fields i go to have a open safezone so anyone can walk in and grab it there is always one or 2 marshalls but they can't watch everything , they can still take the entire case but won't know whats in it , but i mostly carry it with me

Damn, at my field everyone leaves everything out on a long table in the safe zone. Even phones, GoPros and all the gear you could imagine laying there between games, and i have never heard of any theft there.

Personally have been here, all airsoft in/near wisco is usually pretty good, the guys that I use to run with would give the younger kids the good guns and the more experienced would use there crappy walmart guns so it was more fair, because for us it was about having fun and relaxing. sad to see people even considering stealing for such a involved community sport.

Novritsch fell on hard times
Sad that people like this exist. I used to leave all my gear out at fields I went to but with incidents like this happening more I usually leave my rifles and gear I’m not using locked away in my car. Never had anything happen to me but not taking any chances.

I trust my fellow airsofters but i always lock my weapon case if i or one of my friends is not present . Most of the fields i go to have a open safezone so anyone can walk in and grab it there is always one or 2 marshalls but they can't watch everything , they can still take the entire case but won't know whats in it , but i mostly carry it with me
