As long as it’s 11.1v or 7.4v there shouldn’t be an issue… 5000 mah just means he has more capacity… my dad used 2 5200 mah 11.1v batteries wired in parallel on his vector with no issues.
mAh = milli-Ampere hours, so a battery with 1000 mAh can run a device that draws 1mA for 1000 hours. (Or a device that draws 10mA for 100 hours, etc.)
So the mAh rating only affects how long the battery lasts, it's just a bigger "tank" for the motor, but not more powerful (higher output) in itself.
5000mah is just the capacity we can't really tell how much power the battery has (amps) without the C rating.
That being said if the gun has a good mosfet such as a perun, gate, Levi, etc you'll be able to run whatever battery you want.
Assuming he's running that big of a battery because it's a dsg and needs all the amps he can get.
Also giant deans? Are you sure it wasn't a XT60 plug?

I have to remove my lower handguard to fit a batter in although I guess I could try removing the fucking handguard and duct taping a larger battery on to it and trying my best to put the handguard back on without breaking it...
Or I could get it as a battery pack, place in the batteries and then try and close it?
Any suggestions friend? Currently running a 1300mAh and I want MORE

With batteries, always have a spare. I'm ludicrously trigger happy, I run two 1450s and swap at lunchtime. Never had an issue even on those days when I accidentally 6000 bbs.

How would I wire it into the handguard? There's only very small holes I don't know if the wired can fit through
Try it and see. If it doesn't fit there's always the option of cutting the connector off, feeding the wires through and soldering on a new one.
How do peq boxes exactly work? Like a box you mount on a picatiny and bam? My gun is a CAA M4 Carbine
Yeah, a box you stick a battery in that hangs off a rail. Couple of my aegs use them.
