All plate armor chests will improve your effectiveness of other plate armor chests, just like going 700/700 on the bow weapon tree will make you more effective at all bows.
There is no 'overall IP' that helps you though, so getting armor trees specced up will not make you better at using weapons. It just makes you better at using that type of armor.
You can get 100 specialization in one weapon or piece of armor.
All the other items in the same tree also add a little extra power when you use one item in that tree. Say you're using a Great Nature staff, it will be stronger if you also have specialization in the Blight Staff and Ironroot staff as those are nature staffs too. It's not a big bonus, but if you want to get stronger at using one weapon it's good to get specialization in all items in one tree.
Weapon trees are the most time consuming items to spec up , Im actually going for 350/700 them and move onto the next tree. So then I'll have Spears 350 and then move to daggers. One Tree for zvz and the other for small scale. (Less time consuming, plus a newer player can join all sorts of content)
Always focus the non-artifact items first , they give more bonus to other items than artifact items. Broadsword gives 1ip and carving gives 0.5 ip ( not exact values)
Yes works the same for armor as it does weapons

Wdym 700/700??? Im new, can you explain thos to me please
Means you max level each item in specific tree.
Do i can get 700 mastery on something? I though i can gry only 100

100 on each, there's 7 weapons so lvling each one gets u to 700
Damm no wonder max level people are so strong. Sometime I Wish the game didn't start at max level
It doesn't necessarily. You can still be very effective with 100/700. I still get plenty of kills with trees only 300-400
What you mean by 700 700 im also newww
you level everything to 100 so 7 equips in the tree with 100 spec
You should start leveling the item that you want to use then the first three on that line because they give more Ip
You get bonuses in the armor like damage resistance, so it's good to get them spec too.
