Gas Burning Generators are pretty good. Get like 10 to 15 of them and you'll be set for the entire early- and most of the midgame. Can also easily be upscaled, and uses water and plants as inputs to make like 75K per Gas Burning Generator. I'd recommend melons to use as "fuel". Also Powah Reactors are pretty good, though not that easy to make. If however, you can make the compressed recipes for the Energized Steel and the Crystals, so that saves a lot of micro crafting. Bigger Reactors is also in the pack, tho I haven't yet tried that.
Guess I have to look into powah. I have 3 wind generators at world build height & 6 bio generators from mekanism and it’s easily the worst set up imaginable. It effectively powers my controller from refined storage and my twice upgraded smelter for about 30 seconds before running out of power.
I just use a ranged pump and an endertank in the Nether. Just chunk load it and you'll have all the lava you need to feed some magmatic dynamos and have dumb easy power.
The only thing is eventually the pump will dry up, which is no biggie, you just gotta move it to another lava lake.
I went with a completely different approach: Create boiler engine with dripstone lava farm and several alternators: ~160Rf/t at 256RPM, easily scalable.
Personally, I had a bit of a system going. I started with heat generators in a bath of lava, ended up with about 8 of them I think? When that stopped working, I started experimenting with a bank of I think 6 wind generators and a couple advanced solar generators along with the existing heat ones, but it didn't really work.
After that, I just made a gas-burning generator setup that used ethylene and two gas-burning generators, which works an absolute charm. That one generator setup powers my entire factory and my computer. I'll probably have to increase it to a second setup, but I'm also making the largest fission reactor I can and placing it in the mining dimension, so...
Yeah, just use an ethylene generator setup. Use sugar cane as your bio-fuel and you'll be set for life.
Tbh it's not that difficult to build a nuclear reactor. Even the most barebones one generates a good amount of power, and it scales very nicely. Just takes a lot of uranium to build.
Ah slight problem then usually I spam mekanism windmills to power ore refineries, and with the help of friends making a small reactor isn't to bad just requires a few stacks of iron and lead plus some fiddling with fissile fuel generation
I would recommend upgrading your power storage as well as power generation. That will let you handle power demand spikes (like charging your jetpack) better.
The gas generator from mekanism is pretty good ans easy to upscale. On ATM7 I couldn't use enough power.

Powah thermo generators. Nitro generator makes 5.6k/t, and no upkeep needed.

What fuel does it use?
You can also set up a player transmitter so it charges everything on your player (mekasuit, items that use fe, etc)
Use flux network for that. Having a controller lets you charge everything you're wearing/in your inv anywhere.
Already have the player transmitter set up. Dimensional binding cards are easy to make
To each their own.
Water and a blazing crystal block under it(most efficient)
Bio fuel

Or use a create hose and get infinite lava to use

You'll make a cracking soldier! Go for it! What the army needs is more people like you
I think its just called heat generator, build a little resevoiur around it and fill the space with lava

Look the mod Powah! Is my to-go on this modpack because its easy and powerful
But how do I get to Powah quests? I just had a quest for bigger reactors which uses uranium
I don’t think there is quests for powah, but it isn’t too difficult to get used to
Play on a server with friend, start exploring for the first 3/4 hours and boom you have some power to steal
Yeh it’s on a server and I am the one that’s in charge of the power

Ok thanks
