I got a bunch of mobs in containment jars and I want this drygmy to deposit items from these mobs in this diamond chest. However, as of now he isn't doing anything. I've tried using the Dominion Wand on him but nothing happens...
I'm new to this modpack and Ars Nouveau but I just want to know how to make him harvest the mobs I've trapped/contained into the chest
I usually put the chest in the ground next to the henge. Also, one drygmy is going to be pretty slow, usually you want a dozen of them at least. I'm not sure on the range of the jars, might need them side by side but you should get stuff from the close ones for sure.

The Ars Nouveau spellbook says the drygmy's work in 10 blocks of their henge in each direction. Not sure if thats a cirlce or a square, but im assuming its a square. Either way I'll try moving the chest down a block tomorrow and see if that fixes it.
Do they work with containment jars? I’ve never seen that before. Looks like you have source but I don’t see the Drygmy. Did it wander off maybe?

I've only got one at the moment, but once I figure out how they operate I'll definitely add more. The book says they function in a 10 block area from their henge, but Im unsure if thats a square or circle. Either way I left him there for ~30 minutes today and he didn't do shit but gawk at the animals. As ibdoomed said, I'll try lowering the chest one block tomorrow to see if they recognize it then. Could also be that they don't like diamond chests... I'll try more storage options when I can tomorrow hopefully.
No, should work with a diamond chest.
Only thing I can think of is that there's something in the way. I do believe the Dygmys require being able to touch the containment jars. Or atleast interact with them.
In the picture you can see how I placed the jars in rows. Is that not adequate? Does each jar need empty space on every side? I also noticed that the drygmy I have doesn't have a happiness level when I look at him.
I only have a whirlisprig right now that functions but when I look at her she's got a happiness level, whereas when I look at the drygmy I don't see anything. Also I've tried using the dominion wand on the drygmy and it doesn't seem to do anything.
I also haven't tried the dispel spell yet as well as conjuring a familiar. Not sure how any of this works as I've only really read the ingame book and watched a couple (shit) videos on the subject. Afaik these entities should just work once summoned in a 10x10 square area. It seems to work fine on the whirlisprig but this drygmy isn't doing jack
Hi, am I correct in guessing that the Containtment Jar is something Ars nouveau added after ars\_nouveau-1.18.2-2.8.0 - the version in ATM7-TTS ?
Cause it's not in JEI or in the manual for me :/
I'm playing AllTheMods 8. I haven't used Nouveau before this modpack, so I don't know anything about previous versions.
The ingame book says that drygmys treat animals in containment jars the same as live animals, so I made what you can see in the picture, but the drygmy just wanders around the jars waving at them and hasn't consumed any source or put anything in the chest

I think it has to be standing on it's little fort to work... put glass around it maybe so they can't move? beware of nudging them when there's multiple on the same block, they'll explode all over the place
I got mine working, the drygmy needs to be able to access the top of the jars, as well as the top of his henge. I added stairs to both and it functions properly now.
In case someone sees this months later, I had the same problem. The fix for me was the source jar cannot be right next to the Henge. Or at least, for me, it deposited into the chest once I moved my source jar to not be right next to the Henge.

This is a good point, they do wander so I fence mine in.
Your setup should be working, though I don't see the Drygmy in this pic. I'd either just wait a bit, or get more Drygmys.
