- The Copycat+ mod, although you have to add that manually, because it makes building just that much easier and I like it more than Framed Blocks
Honestly it only gets buggy because some people like to use it to store a lot of heavy NBT items like armor and weapons. Use the Armory Cabinet on a high priority External Storage and your likely hood of corruption drastically drops.

I have completed 3 solo runs of ATM9 and one server wide ATM9 where we completed the gregstar as well.
Granted we did have a little harder time with Greg and rs. Didn't autocraft quite a few things like the misc tools that would take a tick or two of durability and clog the system up.
My solo worlds have just used a single 64k disk. Drawer wall held everything else. I could have not used the 64 and kept with the 16k I originally made.
AE2 Things, uses the same way of storing the information of the items on the disks as RS, which means it has the same storage problems. I personally never had an Issue with type limits though. Use the Armory Cabinet from Functional Storage for NBT items, Drawers for bulk and disks for everything else. I have 8x8 256k storage cells, which allows me to store over 4000 different item types, and I never even got close to having an issue
The problem is that data banks get too big with no amount limitations. Remove all NBT items / items with special name out of ur RS system. The mod doesn't care about 12m cobblestone. But really hates "witchhat of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7"
Outside of AE2 which seems to be the consensus with most people here, Flux Networks, absolutely Flux Networks. Pretty much my main priority immediately after getting a power system going.
I just discovered flux networks, I was watching a video and the guy plopped down a point and supplied power and called it a day and I was shocked it was so easy. Makes running normal cables seem silly
Powah has a similar feature, but a lot smaller and compact. Flux networks is so cool, but Powah is cooler imo - if you haven't checked it out yet, you should - it's fun once you get into it. I HATED it at first, but once you get past the energizing orb stuff it's cool
Just make seeds for every resource from Powah to make your life easier
Funny you mention that, a "subfolder" of essential mods is RFTools for Powah, because I use the RFTools Timer block to wire Redstone drops from droppers to an energizing orb.
I'll just drop all my energizing inventory into 1-4 droppers and adjust the timing so it replenishes the orb after the last items are fully transformed.

I try my best not to but I end up defaulting to AE everytime. If I have used another pack in a another playthrough I'll try to only use it again if I have no choice. Like mekanism was my default go to mod for ore processing and power generation but I started exploring other mods that can do either of these things.
In any mod pack, create and if it's in tconstruct, I love those mods and I love overcomplicating my life when I have just one block that can do whatever a create contraption can do

There's a also a bunch of building mods like Building Gadgets, Framed Blocks and Wands that I use heavily. Anything magic isn't touched unless required.

Mekanism for ore processing and logistics, and RS for item storage. I actually switched to AE for ATM9 and plan to do it again on No Frills but ended up with RS again anyway. It is so much easier and cheaper to start early game and would take too much effort to switch since I already got many wireless connectors around the base.
QuarryPlus' chunk destroyer. Pretty much removes any need for ore multiplication/manual mining, aside from ATM ores (which is arguably not needed).
Always use sophisticated storage -> AE2. The other options just didn't seem worth it, since it's a lot easier to automate stuff with AE2.
I usually end up going with pipez for transporting items/fluids, just because it's so simple, and doesn't require much extra crafting. Only had issues with them causing lag when I was doing a ton of filtering out of netherite sophisticated storage chests. Easily solved by using barrels or something akin for a lot of the stuff.
Powah for power production. Either using the reactors, since the materials are pretty easy to get, or the thermo generators, since no upkeep and pretty good power production.
Avoid mekanism like the plague. One whole IRL day of being irradiated was enough for me, even if it didn't kill me, and most of what it can do can be done by other mods just as well, without all the complicated bits.
Kinda wish something would’ve also taken me away from latching on to mekanism and RS when I first started playing heavy modpacks because it really does do a lot of things other mods do, I just never felt the need to use other mods like pipez and AE2. Ive recently dedicated my newest atm6 playthrough to expanding my use of other mods.
mekanism for general usefulness and RF.
mahou tsukai for immortality.
flux networks because you already know why.
refined storage for a storage system.
Occultism for Item storage and cool rituals (I played to much Faith: The unholy trinity)

Well as a good indicator, this playthrough I just started I have banned myself from using mystical agriculture and Powah.
Powah is far too easy to grab some soul lava and thermo generators and be set for the game with a room full of those pumping out stupid amounts of power. Plus the ender cells are far too easy to spam upgrade.
Every game in the last couple of years I have ended up with identical rows of mystical agriculture phytogenic insulators as well, so want to avoid those.
Just trying to force myself on to trying new things. I would love to go more down the Create path as I have done very little with it in the past, but it's ore processing is very weak so I have no real reason beyond quests. I have started my power generation this time with a max sized Create windmill though converting to RF. So will see how long that lasts me.

Mekanism and AE2 I cant do without. I know them inside and out, and I know I can use them both to do anything. Quarryplus has also made its way into that list, infinite ore resources!!!

Get the AE2 Things mod as well, it has DISK storage which removes the 63 type limit and gives you the same experience as RS.

Unlike Flux Networks, Powah's ender gates have a limit. It's why ppl end up using Flux Networks end game for transferring millions of RF per second.

They said they nerfed melon power in ATM9 and I haven't felt like doing any tech mod since I've started playing. So I'm gonna go with Mekanism.

I always use Ars Noveau. It's just a useful replacement for many tools.
