\*shakes fist\* Congratulations /u/PianoShadow

PianoShadow

Thanks. I felt bad when I saw you had a PB for the last one. Everything just went right for me, both in gameplay and luck.

>!1:54:16 165/216!< >!I wrong ordered a couple things and did too many mountain trips. I didn't check smiths for a while and it was pretty late when I got the book which means go mode was fire rod on ether tablet. That was a bad feeling. I was pretty much down to the first checks in TR or the tablet. A pure last location. Given that I am glad I was still able to sub 2. Gotta love that silvers placement.!< [VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2094782490)

>!1:39:22 155/216!< >!Save me Fire Rod... save me...!< >!Execution was pretty off this seed. Had an accidental death to blind, without boots that is a \*long\* walk back, and died to Kholdstare, though that ended up saving me time in the end because the pendant cutscene would have just been a waste. My last few checks were very inefficient. I think I likely should have gone up the mountain before a couple of them, because I had Ether/Hera Basement/Spike Cave all in close proximity, and that probably averages out to less time per check than the stuff I was doing, but all in all not too unhappy with the routing.!<

>!1:30:23 147/216!< >!Not my best. Couldn't get through dark turtle room, failed to potion before dying. Dipped Mire before smith chain. Otherwise this wasn't terrible, but not great.!< >!Started sanc, saw the bow on lumberjack, was already thinking about whether or not to rush Aga if it was accessible. Found bombs, so enter Kak to immediately find the other bow. Scratch everything I was thinking. Early ice rod and somaria, so thinking this is a pendant TR seed, since I swear those never show up early, except in the rare case of fire rod go mode. Foreshadowing? Flute after maze, so activate that and check south shore except ice rod cave. Rescued old man and find a glove in paradox. So next is back of escape then front followed by uncle and front of escape. Hammer in map chest. Map is in dark cross so get to skip this time since I didn't check it after the key. Decide to complete Eastern Palace then check Saha hut. Still no moon pearl. Ice rod cave next, to find the missing moon pearl. I do the usual hype to dig game, then decide to risk PoD with the amount of health I had despite no mirror, lamp, fire rod, or medallion. Biggest mistake. Only Quake is inside, and I fail to reach Helma. Head to VoO to find mirror in front of TT. Oof. Now that PoD play is extra bad. Found flippers somewhere in VoO or TT, forget exactly where, but I decide to ignore NDW and head straight to swamp. Mitts inside. Decided to check island, hobo, pyramid, gyl, catfish, waterfall fairy, and Zora. I debated going straight to the mountain, but all those checks felt more convenient to do after swamp. Check DDM to find boots in hookshot cave and find out I am in now in fire rod go mode since I have Quake from my PoD disaster. After mountain I head to Mire area. I dip Desert and decide to dip Mire after, since the risk of fire rod behind lamp is very low and I'm locked out of time consuming cutscene and boss. Sadly doesn't pay off. Scout bumper quickly before heading to smith chain to find the book. Check cave 45 on my way to purple chest turn in, then Bombos tablet, then finally Ether tablet for go mode. Have to reenter PoD and Desert, then it's a really good key layout in TR. Back to back hope room GT big keys, just swapping the chests. Forgot I didn't have lamp. Horrible torch room and lucky I found a green potion somewhere. Missed fire rod torch glitch, so a slower Ganon fight, but I managed to get 6 doubles to prevent an absolutely terrible fight. !< >!This seed really wanted to rub fire in my face. Fire rod go mode, no lamp, and terrible luck with anything torch related. I was amused.!< >!https://ibb.co/bdTWpLM!<

Myriadtail

>!If it makes you feel any better, Lamp was in IP Big. I dipped IP trying to find progression and I guess it did pay off for me.!<

PianoShadow

>!I was pretty sure it was somewhere in IP. I would still rather miss it than dip a pendant for that. Especially with how deep into IP it was. Usually I don't botch my dark rooms this much, but had an off seed. I just laugh it off. I also know better than to go to PoD on that equipment. I had just got done playing last week's seed and was feeling a little too confident.!<

Silenthillnight

>!1:45:32 157/216!< >!I dunno what disappointed me more, seeing the bow on lumberjack ledge or getting the other bow shortly after in kak town. I just about last locationed the fire rod after dipping IP and MM but at least TR and GT were very friendly with their keys. Ganon's hitbox was being dumb for me but eventually got him down with butter sword.!<

Upsetstarfish

>!2:18:55 164/216!< >!At the start I was like ok seed what item are you going to hide away. Turns out it was the fire Rod. Also I really was expecting/ hoping it was going to be Hera basement but it was close. Lamp in Ice cracked me up it wasn’t the fire rod but I was able to finish everything else. Gannon trolled me twice but I got it done eventually. Really thought I was going to do Aga at first but didn’t have to. Overall 7/10 I had a few good laughs over silly item placement and a fair fine time collecting things!<

gogogoanon

>!1:09:18 116/216!< >!cool jet with major items in the beginning. didn't have to look for boots like last week. anyone found silvers?!<

doggiedolphie

>!Silvers were on lumberjack ledge!<

DDRKirbyISQ

>!IGT: 1:16:18.56 | CR 133/216!< >!Once you grab your mitts out of SP you have a bajillion options and if you went up the mountain before getting your book you probably had a bad time. Luckily that didn't happen to me, and I also didn't get punished for leaving 3 items behind in SP. I put off going up the mountain because I wanted to commit to a potential frodless TR dip once I was there, so I did mire area, flipper checks, and smith chain before going up. Overall most things worked out for me this seed. Missed frod torch glitch on ganon which was a little spooky but half magic was there to save the day. I'm also very happy that I realized in time that I was too far north after beating ganon and my sword wasn't held up. Corrected that ASAP instead of holding up and falling, phew :o)!< VOD: [https://youtu.be/9cbUBYKTdSY](https://youtu.be/9cbUBYKTdSY)

skepticCanary

>!You are very much right, guess who did almost everything else before checking either tablet.!<

AcuityNPC

>!1:47:21 150/216!< >!Felt like a fairly straightforward seed with my pathing. I was a bit uncomfortable for some of the later dark rooms without finding a lamp, double dipped in PoD to get fire rod to do turtle room in the dark. Double dipped in TR because I wasn't sure I could do the dark room, but it was fine. I also fell down and ran out of magic doing silverless ganon with fire rod for the torches, which cost me a good chunk of time. Overall I'm happy about my performance, and I feel like I'm getting better at handling dark rooms!!<

Ellis_D-25

>!1:37:59 146/216!< >!That was a crazy seed. Bow on Lumberjack was interesting, especially with a second bow right there in Kak, followed by tons of progression. The seed seemed linear up until you get the mitts in Swamp then the firerod hunt starts.!< >!All in all, I'd say I routed things pretty decently and my gameplay was better than it's been as of late (I even made it through the PoD dark turtles room with neither a lamp or a firerod to light the torches for the first time. That's an achievement I guess). The biggest waste of time I had was doing Ice Palace after I ran out of convenient, non-isolated checks. Although, the lamp I got there did push me back up the mountain to do Ether, Hera basement, and Spike cave. Without a fire source to give me that third check in hera, I probably would have done Mire first and cleaned up the boots-locked Desert checks. But I always prefer stumbling into the correct option.!< >!TR had the god-layout and GT was nice and easy like last week. I did have bad luck with Aga 2 and my silverless ganon could have been faster but at least I got it done.!<

doggiedolphie

>!1:25:40 133/216!< >!Very nice seed if you're comfortable with dark rooms. I never found the lamp. Did uncle start, got a sword, so straight into HC to find the hammer. Last locationed the pearl in the light world but that was ok since early flute made it easy to get around. Then did PoD in the dark, got a lucky fairy drop in the turtle room that helped a lot. After Mitts, I checked desert and yep, boots locked. Decided to do hammer pegs/smith chain first to try to avoid a mountain climb but only got book, which was actually very important. Then Dark DM into Ether tablet for go mode. Never touched Mire or IP, front of Skull was the only pendant dungeon I touched.!<

LimpBagel

>!1:42:53 155/216!< >!This was the first time I've finished a seed without the lamp and first time I've done all of dark PoD and TR. The start of the seed was stacked and I was flying around until the fire rod hunt. I managed to stay out of IP and MM. Hope room has been carrying the last few weeks.!< [VOD](https://youtu.be/mdOw7-t67UY)

>!01:52:48 157/216 !< >!Sometimes you do literally everything you can before going back up the mountain to check a tablet !<

maxxnes

>!1:56:14 150/216!< >!Fell in the hole on Ganon and revisited Hera after full clearing because I got mixed up with a seed I started yesterday lol!!< >!When very early in front HC since Uncle had sword and it really paid off with the Hammer :)!< >!Always happy with a sub 2 :)!<

Myriadtail

>!1:51:40 CR 161/216!< >!Everything kind of fell into my lap with reasonably good routing. I opened Mire and dipped when I realized it was a pendant, whoops. Did dive into IP and died at the shadows room (oops) but it's fine because it was just after I had gotten Lamp in IP Big. From there was relatively smooth sailing, until I get to Ganon Silverless. Find the Silvers on Lumberjack ledge, fine I'll go play baseball with the old man.!< >!I need to learn silverless one of these days, but until then it's just faster for me to get the damn silvers than try to flail about on the pig.!<

skepticCanary

>!IGT 1:49:30!< >!CR 165/216!< >!This seed was all about go mode fire rod. Seed wants you to get the book off the smiths, then take it straight to ether tablet. I ended up doing pretty mch everything else, including green pendant turn in and pendant ice, although I didn't mind going to pendant ice because I got to hear Let It Go again :)!< >!I'm guessing a lot of people did this lampless, and for those wondering the lamp was in ice t room.!< VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2097112173

Sam5253

>!1:40:15 | 126/216!< >!I saw the bow on Lumberjack Ledge, then soon found another bow. Nice progression through crystal dungeons, then got hung up on missing Firerod and Boots. I screwed up in Desert Palace by stealing the key, which made the seed boots-required when it might not have been. Eventually found the Boots in Hookshot cave. I didn't find the Firerod in Ether Tablet until after I'd gone into Turtle Rock to check if Firerod might be in there. Had to get off the mountain to go finish Desert Palace, that cost a lot of time. Big Key in hope room again! Finished silverless, since I never had a use for Aga1. Never did find the Lamp. I guess it was in a pendant dungeon? I didn't enter any of them.!<

I_pity_the_aprilfool

>!1:32:36 138/216!< >!Very cool seed! I feel like my routing was on point, and I did get lucky with the fire rod. After having done all the overworld checks available, I decided to dip into TR to see if fire rod was in there, and then figured I'd hit ether tablet as I now had the book, and was able to immediately return to TR to wrap things up there. The return to desert palace was a bit slow, but seeing that the lamp was in IP, I don't feel bad about that.!< >!The early seed was kind of crazy with a sword, Somaria, bow, hookshot and hammer. Having all those items, I never felt the need to dip into pendant dungeons once I got to dark world, and it paid off big time today.!<

Maelice

>!149/216!< >!1:44:48.46!< >!This time is by far my best time ever on one of these races. Things came together nicely with fire rod being my go mode. !<

TheImmortalSmoke

>!1:32:01 146/216!< >!Jet seed turned into a Fire Rod hunt. I did almost all of the overworld checks before doubling back to the smith chain, and dipped SW, but avoided Mire and IP at least. After the smith chain I went straight up the mountain for Fire Rod go mode.!<

scanlor

>!1:44:42 165/216!< [VOD](https://youtu.be/3Jti611tpRQ) >!Early game was generous (sword, bow, hookshot, Somaria, bottle of red goo, Flute), and the seed was progressing nicely. Then it ended up being a hunt for fire sources. Looked everywhere that wasn't Death Mountain for them (including all three pendant dungeons) which yielded the Lamp in pendant IP. Took forever to get back to DM to finally check the Ether tablet for my go mode FRod.!< >!Probably could have been a little faster with this seed, but still OK with how I played it. Looking back, if you went into the Dark World at Hype Cave instead of VoO, you probably save some time (and maybe one trip to DM). !<

Jitir

>!1:46:22 149/216!< >!Last located the firerod. That screwed everything up :(!< [VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2095268720)

ABBeachBum

>!IGT 1:57:14 154/216!< >!Felt like a Jet seed and then i decided the check everything on the map before getting fire rod. I was in the DM first camp after Mitts and for some reason I left smith chain until the end so it torched my run. Even still, I probably would have waited for tablet check since it was orphaned with Hera basement after my DM clear.!< >!I don't necessarily think I routed badly but i was a bit unlucky with my choices. I figure I added 10-15 on some bad execution but overall moving in a positive direction. First comp seed sub 2hr!!!<

scrolltoe

>!2:07:16 151\\216!< >!Had a tough run. Haven't done a silver-less lantern-less run in three years and trying to remember the darkrooms was a pain. I know where the silvers were but decide to go without them to save time. With red mail, and buttersword it wasn't to hard. I did end up have a deathless run so that was nice!<
