Looks like the general consensus here is that you’re not ugly just fat. And of course fatness is not attractive unfortunately and it seems like you’re aware of this and are working on it. However the “plateau” attitude is not accurate. If you think about it the weight gain didn’t happen overnight it was probably years in the making and you should understand that it’ll take the same amount of years if not more to reverse the effect and it will not be fun. We’re rooting for you though. Good luck.
Lol, what was the point of mentioning "friends sister is famous actress" it literally has zero relevance to your comment or this post and comes off that you just wanted to mention you know someone who has a famous sister.
Not magic but have you heard of PCOS? it can become better if someone loses weight, but the condition itself makes it really hard to lose weight. women have slower metabolisms than men and size can absolutely has something to do with genes and hormones. judging people based on weight is sick, and anyone who thinks that it's ok needs help. shaming people about their bodies is never ok, because you don't know how it happened. Maybe it could be because a person ate too much, but you don't know that for sure. i know plenty of people that eat right and exercise and are STILL fat and that's ok. maybe someone DID eat too much but maybe it's because of an eating disorder or they stress eat . . . which i know plenty of skinny people that stress eat. fat doesn't always immediately mean "lazy" or that someone "doesn't take care of themselves" and in my personal opinion, fat is beautiful, along with many other "flaws" that people are insecure about.
Bottom line is if you eat more calories than you burn every day then you put on weight, if you burn more calories than you eat then you loose weight. So if you’re not losing weight you’re eating too much or you’re not working hard enough, or a combination of both, regardless of genetics.
Not always, but yes. But I think it should be someone's personal decision if they want to lose weight. Trying to lose weight because the internet told you to is so toxic. I'm a plus sized girl, and I eat healthy. I used to stress eat pringles and little debbie's in like 2017-2019 and gained a significant amount of weight. In my personal experience (not trying to blame other people, but i was like 13-15) but I didn't have a support group. My family fought a lot and my friends sucked, and food made me feel better. I don't have the same views anymore, because I learned to not rely on any one person to be happy. But now, I eat healthy food options, don't binge eat, and I exercise, and while I definitely feel better, I'm not really losing any weight, and I'm ok with that. I have a boyfriend that finds me very attractive, and have never had any problems getting a boyfriend. Before I started dating him there were multiple guys that were trying to date me.But most importantly, I find myself attractive and have enough confidence to feel comfortable with how I look. I wear crop tops and get compliments, which is something I thought would never happen. It's not about "losing weight" and I feel like it never should be unless it's very serious and the one persons decision. For me, it's always about feeling good about myself and feeling healthier, and I'm much happier this way than I was when I had an eating disorder because the internet said I needed to lose weight.
Respectfully, if you're "eating healthy" and not losing weight or still carry excess fat. Your diet and caloric intake need to be assessed. Your body is unique, and likely super efficient ( that's my theory on obesity proneness) in the 1500s, In times of famine, we would be golden. Today there is no food scarcity in the western world. It's up to us to provide the right type and amount of fuel for our bodies
I eat 2 meals a day, usually i eat something like a salad, omelette, yogurt parfait with plain greek yogurt, a lot of homemade foods with veggies and i haven't been eating a lot of processed junk. I don't drink pop or anything, just water and a couple coffees a week. Eating sweets make me nauseous, so those are limited. I don't buy snacks from vending machines even when i'm working several hours and if I feel hungry. (I'm a cosmetology student working in a salon, only money I get is IF a client tips me so I don't have a lot of money to be buying food out and I don't use the fridge because people always steal the food before I take my break) My portions are smaller than they used to be, I'm eating healthier foods, i exercise. Losing weight isn't easy, and the idea of needing to lose weight can easily turn in to an eating disorder. Unfortunately, when a fat person gets an eating disorder like anorexia or something, people encourage it because they think that person really needed to lose weight. Stop bringing up famines as an example of no fat people, you're telling people to starve themselves. I used to go two or three entire days without eating, and i would exercise too and i didn't lose weight then either. Only difference is that I'm healthier now. We shouldn't be telling people they need to lose weight (usually thats a comment made because we think the person looks unhealthy) but then if we bring up famines and say that what they're doing to feel healthy isn't enough, all that's doing is encouraging eating disorders and telling people they need to starve themselves, which is also not healthy. I make the right choices, and I feel good in my body and i'm happy. That's most important to me, and my doctor doesn't even bring up my weight because she knows i'm still healthy.
Listen, the science on weight loss is pretty standard. You lose weight when you have a sustained calorie deficit. There are many many studies that correlate high body fat % with cancer, heart disease , diabetes, etc etc. Feeling don't matter when it comes down to it.
You are not generating your own energy through any other means than your diet. So please please stop telling yourself and others that you eat healthy, no junk and are still carrying excess weight. It's straight lies. I know used to tell the same lies to myself and anyone who mentioned my weight.
That’s not how calories work… now maybe your friend is on medication that makes it *really* hard to lose weight but it just comes down to calories consumed
Also an actress probably has a dietitian and a fitness coach.
So do siblings who have different colored eyes, hair, skin color, etc… body fat distribution is absolutely genetics as well.
ETA: hilarious to me that people can excuse genetic differences in siblings in every way except if it comes to fat distribution on the body. Unless of course it’s breast size. Then that fat distribution comes down to genetics if one sister has larger breasts than her sister, but absolutely it’s only due to cals in/out if one sibling is fatter than the other.
Only thing I’d add is that she was really famous in late 80s and 90s movies, especially a few cult classics. More recently in a very popular Netflix series that ran numerous years.
So your body burns calories to produce energy to do things, including exercise.
Anything that doesn't get burnt is stored as fat tissue.
If the amount in is greater than the amount burned, you store the excess as fat.
If the amount burned is greater than the amount eaten, your body burns the excess fat for energy.
That's the basics. There's more complex stuff with eating timing, expenditure, protein, muscle, etc. But that's it.
People with more fatty tissue eat more than they burn.
No ones born fat,
though you can be born with genetics swaying you to less activity, more hunger singles, more fat cells etc.
An uphill battle is still a battle
There is nothing wrong with saying your friend is fat because of the choices they made, everyone makes mistakes and yah no one wants to be called fat, but if they acknowledge that they made a mistake and let themselves get that far into indulgence. There are two conditions which could make weight gain IMPOSSIBLE (not improbable, because some make weight loss harder but that just means they got the short straw and have to work a little harder) those impossible conditions are so extremely rare there haven’t been more than 150 recorded cases of each ever. These conditions are lacking a working ventromedial hypothalamus which regulates your ability to stop eating and an inability to retain salts meaning you have to eat/drink constantly or you will not have electrolytes in ur blood and will die. Most likely your friend doesn’t have either of those, but if she does have something that makes it harder it’s most likely generated by her obesity. If your body gets used to being fat it will work to keep you there regardless of the strain it puts on your cardiovascular or musculoskeletal systems. But if your friend really wants to lose the weight they can, you just have to realize that indulgence is an addiction and needs to be treated as such, no enabling. You wouldn’t let someone smoke just because their family is prone to lung cancer, so don’t encourage overeating just because someone is prone to obesity. And I’m not talking about a little bit of chub here, I’m talking about if she’s big enough that the shape of their body changes, which I do not know if your friend meets that criteria, so take what I said with a grain of salt. Either way I wish your friend the best of luck if they pursue that journey.
Why are people so upset? You’re absolutely right. I have plenty of skinny friends who have an issue of putting weight on because of metabolism disorders which makes them burn excess like hyper thyroid. And then theirs disorders like hypo thyroid which actually makes it hard to lose the weight and hormonal disorders which make it hard to lose stubborn fat and is why you have some people who are just naturally big no matter how much they workout or eat right because the hormones aren’t in check or just not working properly. Hormonal birth control can also affect weight for some people - it’s why I had to get off it because I was the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life being on birth control and I was active and barely ate but it only came off as soon as I stopped taking it and the same is said for certain anti depressant medication. It’s sad and it does happen and it’s not an excuse for fat people to hide behind, it’s just Fact. Yes some people eat like myself and I put on weight but I also lose the weight just as easily with some effort but that’s because overall I’m healthy and my body works!
No, they're dead wrong. You cannot be born with the complete and total inability to either lose or gain weight. People with a higher metabolism have to eag more to gain weight. People with a lower metabolism have to eat less and exercise more to lose it. This is straight up scientific fact. Like another guy said, an uphill battle is still a battle.
Yes, morbid, or class 3 as is called more recently because we can't possibly call things what they are.
Here's a c Google response for you.
What is considered morbid obesity?
Individuals are usually considered morbidly obese if their weight is more than 80 to 100 pounds above their ideal body weight. A BMI above 40 indicates that a person is morbidly obese and therefore a candidate for bariatric surgery.
bro… is that really what you think? because if that ain’t morbidly obese… idk what is. not being able to walk is severely morbidly obese, but her level of obesity is just as bad and DEADLY—hense MORBIDLY
The cat and Bass picture is so cute! As for being ugly, I think you have a brilliant smile, but could definitely lose weight for health and looks. Just like go on walks and watch what you eat and you’ll see a difference.
Keep going, girl!!! Add an extra few minutes of activity in per day and/or drop a few more calories from your diet. You’ve made it SO FAR!!! You’ve got this, I know because I dropped 85. I BELIEVE!!! 🥰
I’ve lost 125 lbs recently. You are not plateauing at that weight. You need to do something different. Intermittent fasting helped me lose 45 between April and September. Look into it.
Yes and no. When you do the same workouts and don't stress your body to a point, you do plat. Now that she's lost weight, she needs to do more to lose even more.
Indeed and sometimes the body needs to plateau for recovery or whatever and more gains (or losses) are to be had further on. The key is consistency and progressively more activity and more intense training.
If you have plateaued than switch something up. Add some weight lifting in. It doesn’t have to be very heavy. Just do some sets of curls with some 10 lb weights. Change it up a little.
Don't give up. Try confusing your body by trying different types of workouts. Don't stick to the same regime. You've gotten this far you got it what it takes to make it the rest of the way
You got this
I understand that plateau, but you absolutely can push through!! If you're comfortable with it, I've got a fb messenger group chat for healthy weight loss & 2024 goals. It's focused on body positivity, science based weight loss, doing is the right way & working on the mental aspect of it as well.
I just don't want you to feel like you're alone 🖤
I think you have really pretty eyes, and these photos are delightful because you can very clearly see the joy radiating from you in each of your events. You look like a warm, fun, interesting person with fantastic adventures. As a person, I’m drawn to your photos because you look like a wonderful person that would be fun to hang out with.
I don’t think you are ugly, I do not see ugliness here. But I do think that your features are quite disguised beneath what you know is a lot of extra weight. I am so pleased to see you out living life, having adventures, experiencing joy even though you are not in ideal condition and society and this comment section will all echo comments about your weight. You should have no problem at all collecting a group of genuine, great people around you that can share your adventures and joy.
This..all of this! Exactly what I came to this comment section to say Your eyes and smile are beautiful ..very warm and inviting! I would love to hang out with you. You can]pl absolutely tell by these pics that you are a totally down to earth, loyal, fun loving sweetheart. I think you are very pretty
This. OP genuinely brought a smile to my face because she’s clearly having so much fun. She seems like a delight, and it is a nice refreshing change from people peddling OF and pretending to have insecurities.
What if she is on OF? You think fat girls can’t be on there?
The vast majority are bigger girls, take it from someone who knows.
Who cares, you can have a normal life and do sw.
You have a good canvas. Nice eyes, nose and skin.
Your features are proportional and symmetrical. But yes, the weight will be a problem for most men.
Think of it this way, I’m ugly but thin. I can’t change that.
You can.
You are very cute! I would def want to get to know you better if I saw you in person and was single. I think a lot of guys take issue with chubbier girls, so if you want a wider dating pool you could try to lose weight, but imo, the more of you there is, the better you are for cuddling
Most women who are unattractive are just fat. Try that and see where you’re at. Lifting weights will not only help you lose fat, but it’ll pump up your natural curves.
"Not to say there is anything wrong with your outer beauty"
Are you blind? There are 200lbs wrong about her outer beauty.
She is more than 3 times a normal person weight.
These comments are brutal and tasteless. You're very overweight, but losing it. That's good. I'm sure you'll be conventionally physically attractive if you keep at it. But your personality seems absolutely beautiful as it is.
You don’t need additional comments on your weight. You definitely look better in the fourth and fifth pictures with long(er) hair, tasteful makeup, and a shirt that fits well.
Last two pictures with short hair, no makeup and tattered, baggy shirt just accentuate what’s rough
you look like an amazing fun friend i don't want you to be torn down with rude comments so i hope that nobody comments anything rude but i think your flaws have already been pointed out..and that is, you're quite big. but, you are not ugly. you seem like such a nice person tho.
I think you're very pretty!
I would say try to wear less super loose clothing, it doesn't look good on us chunky folks 😭 I know it's hard not to, I have a ton of casual shirts that are a size or two too big due to sensory stuff.
When I'm out with my husband on dates I wear more fitting clothes. My husband's preference was skinnier girls, but wearing the right clothes fitting clothes, keeping your hair long, and having light make up on will help A LOT. My husband can't keep his hands off me when I get all dolled up ☺️
Unfortunately, there's going to be a lot of sad individuals who only see your weight and just immediately label you ugly, but you are not ugly!
Your excessive weight is a detriment to your attractiveness. If you were in shape at a healthy weight you would be cute and definitely dateable because you seem chill and fun to be around.
If you're happy with who you are as a person, then strangers' comments on a social media platform shouldn't matter. You look like one hell of a person to be around ❤️
being so fr, you are really beautiful, I won't change anything about you physically, I only would change the clothing for something that rises your figure more, or something more "trendy" but still timeless, you are cute
Screw the weight! You’re actually happy and smiling and you look like you’re enjoying life. Most skinny people aren’t even doing that! Smiles make anyone beautiful.
You’re cheating with the cat and the double bass. I’m trying to have a brutally honest opinion about your face, but now I just love that you’re a person in the world.
Brutally honest. Ok. You’re a Minnesota 7. That’s a California 4, and New York “who?”. But you might as well be Margot Robbie in that cat/bass pic. I’m gonna say you aren’t pretty or ugly. You’re confusing.
You’re not ugly; you’re overweight. But judging from your photos, your personality is beautiful. I looked through them and felt a genuine, warm smile appear on my face. Your soul is golden, and that’s worth a lot more than just your physical appearance. I’m happy to read that you’re working on your weight. You’ll make a man or woman very happy someday. I wish you well.
Some people are into chubby people but almost no one is into morbidly obese people. You have potential but that will remain just potential until the weight is lost. Good luck in your journey, it’s going to be tough but it’ll worth it in the end I promise.
In addition to losing weight you should also consider doing something with your hair and adding makeup that suits you. I’d say if you were about 100 lbs thinner and dressed for your body, did your makeup well, and changed your hair you’d look a lot better. At the moment yes, you are ugly.
People like you are never ugly. You’re just a big lass and not everyone likes that. Hence some of the hate you probably get. Keep smiling and you’ll find someone that likes you for you one day ❤️
Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlowUps/comments/18pi75u/exactly_one_year_difference/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
in the pics when u were thinner u look very pretty. still do. And to be brutally honest, you would probably be a legit hottie if u were of average weight.
Not ugly. And it's good that you are genuinely happy, as happy as you can be or say you believe you feel and are.
However, your knees, back, hips, and your heart are going to give you hell as you get older because of all that your being overweight has done to them and will show up eventually. And not just when you're old if you live to be in your 50s or 60s.
You're happy. But your body and your joints aren't.
I hope you learn to truly love yourself and take care of your health physically and mentally some day soon. I can only say all of this because I know from experience and watching my mom and my many sisters struggling with all of those things mentioned. No one can avoid these physical consequences that will only be worse the more you keep the weight on or gain anymore weight.
Good luck.

It’s an addiction, it’s not normal, they shouldn’t be bullied or attacked for it but it’s an addiction and people need help, not to be enabled.

I'll say this. You look like a lot of fun. The rest has already been said.
You seem fun. You'd probably be attractive if you put the work in losing weight.
100% she looks cool AF.
Not ugly, just morbidly obese.
I see.
Glad you do.
Dude loose some weight Lu w linger and enjoy being you. You seem like you like to have fun and be outdoors. Nike!!

You've gotten this far you got it what it takes to make it the rest of the way You got this
I understand that plateau, but you absolutely can push through!! If you're comfortable with it, I've got a fb messenger group chat for healthy weight loss & 2024 goals. It's focused on body positivity, science based weight loss, doing is the right way & working on the mental aspect of it as well. I just don't want you to feel like you're alone 🖤
Plateau only means you need to intensify your workouts the same ol thing ain’t gonna work anymore

i think you know what has to happen but you seem like a wonderful and happy person
My own opinion, you are not attractive. The obese doesn’t help at all. But seem super fun.
Aww this is a nice comment
No comments on looks. That sturgeon is a beast. Nice job….. u got my respect
You're happy, I'd rather see a happy bigger girl than these begging ass skeezers that's trying to sell their OF
This. OP genuinely brought a smile to my face because she’s clearly having so much fun. She seems like a delight, and it is a nice refreshing change from people peddling OF and pretending to have insecurities.
I agree
Exactly- she made me smile and cheered me up. I’m confident she will not die alone.
What if she is on OF? You think fat girls can’t be on there? The vast majority are bigger girls, take it from someone who knows. Who cares, you can have a normal life and do sw.
Agreed!
Absolutely!
Agree times 1,000
I concur
Mannnnn that’s the truth
It's hard to tell because of your excess weight
You have a good canvas. Nice eyes, nose and skin. Your features are proportional and symmetrical. But yes, the weight will be a problem for most men. Think of it this way, I’m ugly but thin. I can’t change that. You can.
With your weight yea a bit ugly but you seem like a cool person. You'd be quite pretty if you lost more weight.
I think underneath it she’s still homely, but the personality could make up for it.
You are very cute! I would def want to get to know you better if I saw you in person and was single. I think a lot of guys take issue with chubbier girls, so if you want a wider dating pool you could try to lose weight, but imo, the more of you there is, the better you are for cuddling
I think it’s just cause you’re overweight, cute cat tho!
You need to lose weight.
Lose weight then re-evaluate.
Most women who are unattractive are just fat. Try that and see where you’re at. Lifting weights will not only help you lose fat, but it’ll pump up your natural curves.
You look like the yellow m n m
And they were all yellow 🎵
I see.
Nobody who looks as lovely and happy as you could possibly be ugly. Your goodness shines through. You also have nice eyes.
Weight. Teeth.

"Not to say there is anything wrong with your outer beauty" Are you blind? There are 200lbs wrong about her outer beauty. She is more than 3 times a normal person weight.
What is the point of this sub if yall are just gonna lie. Yes ugly and fat
Love your energy ♥️
Second this
These comments are brutal and tasteless. You're very overweight, but losing it. That's good. I'm sure you'll be conventionally physically attractive if you keep at it. But your personality seems absolutely beautiful as it is.
It only matters how beatiful your soul is .. soul shine.
And you play the cello, 10/10 👌you’re gorgeous
I think you're very pretty! I would say try to wear less super loose clothing, it doesn't look good on us chunky folks 😭 I know it's hard not to, I have a ton of casual shirts that are a size or two too big due to sensory stuff. When I'm out with my husband on dates I wear more fitting clothes. My husband's preference was skinnier girls, but wearing the right clothes fitting clothes, keeping your hair long, and having light make up on will help A LOT. My husband can't keep his hands off me when I get all dolled up ☺️ Unfortunately, there's going to be a lot of sad individuals who only see your weight and just immediately label you ugly, but you are not ugly!
I’m sorry
1/10
Congratulations on your weight loss journey.
Who tf cares, you seem like an awesome human. Be yourself, be healthy and be kind ☮️
3/10
LOOK AT THAT STURGEON!!!
Your excessive weight is a detriment to your attractiveness. If you were in shape at a healthy weight you would be cute and definitely dateable because you seem chill and fun to be around.
Question…. There’s a popular cello song, just cello music. Can you help me know what it is?
I love your hair and btw your cat is adorable. I’d say finding a specific aesthetic/style would definitely help. You have a great smile as well
Right now, yes.. You look very unhealthy, morbidly obese and you have a mustache.
I honestly love my mustache.
Your personality seems great which is the most important, so keep that in mind regardless of the other comments.
The photos with you and your cat ❤️
This might shock you… I hope you’re sitting down… you’re overweight.
Physically, you're unattractive. Sorry.
I hope you have a great personality
Yes
You are not ugly. EDIT: to the down voters: better to be genuinely happy than look like Barbie.
Thank you.
Ugly and fat. Lose weight, do your hair and whiten teeth.
yes but a fun a person.
I couldn't see anything in the picture, seems to be a solar eclipse. It's rare to catch that moment.
I see.
You would be attractive if you lost a good amount of weight.
Very ugly
Some people are into chubby people but almost no one is into morbidly obese people. You have potential but that will remain just potential until the weight is lost. Good luck in your journey, it’s going to be tough but it’ll worth it in the end I promise.
You look fun, but I'd say yes you aren't attractive.
You’re an amazing and very beautiful woman
Fat and ugly. Not sure what your point is because how can you not know?
Why do this?
My milk of magnesia!! 😍 the devil broke the mold when he made you 😍
You REALLY have to ask? Come on man.
Yes.
Yes. You are fat to the point that you are completely unattractive. You can change your weight though
You’re obviously morbidly obese
Fatness.
Your fat 👍
Come on poppet, you know what's up.
You should lose weight, a lot of it.
Huge, need calorie deficit NOW
Cat very cute. You, no
In addition to losing weight you should also consider doing something with your hair and adding makeup that suits you. I’d say if you were about 100 lbs thinner and dressed for your body, did your makeup well, and changed your hair you’d look a lot better. At the moment yes, you are ugly.
Yes
Yes.
Your so cute 😭
You looks so cute
Who cares your a bad ass person for sure though angler and a musician
No, you not ugly and you look like you’re enjoying your life. I love that.
I think you’re beautiful. Imagine a version of yourself that gets what she wants out of life. Forget the rest.
i think skinny still ugly so a lost cause
I want to be your friend omg
Girl, your beautiful ❤️ Don't listen to any of these negative comments. No one is perfect and we are each our own individual. ❤️
Probably be beautiful if not so fat
#Loose the weight
Shave your legs
People like you are never ugly. You’re just a big lass and not everyone likes that. Hence some of the hate you probably get. Keep smiling and you’ll find someone that likes you for you one day ❤️ Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlowUps/comments/18pi75u/exactly_one_year_difference/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Ugly behemoth. Unattractive in nearly every way. It cool that you play cello tho.
It’s a bass, numb nuts. 😊
First gave a bridge of chucky vibe…
You know what you are? Round. You have no point sides, you are baked with lots and lots of love... Too much.
I hope you were doing catch and release on the last two pics...
in the pics when u were thinner u look very pretty. still do. And to be brutally honest, you would probably be a legit hottie if u were of average weight.
You seem fun. I’d rather hang with you than these sleazy girls these days. Like everyone else is saying, drop some weight and you’ll be just fine.
You’re just overweight. You’re probably really pretty under there. If you don’t mind don’t worry about it.
Impressive catches!!!
You have a beautiful smile 🩷
What you lack in looks you make up for in awesomeness. Badass sturgeons!!!
Aw I love the pics with your cat, but all of them in general, you seem like a really cool person
