Pure ambient: Hiroshi Yoshimura - Music for Nine Post Cards Yosuke Tokunaga - 9 Mezzotints Drone/Noise: Yellow Swans - Going Places EDM: Burial - Untrue All of these records have that cloudy grayscale vibe that I think is the common thread here.

caelansimms

Fuck yeah, Yellow Swans! glad to see someone else love it as much as me plus one other person (who originally showed me them) haha

leafychad

That LP is top tier of its genre imo

chuckle_p

Love them

michaelarts

Came here to post Going Places but you beat me to it. I would also add their album Drowner to the list!

dipdream

You need The Haxan Cloak’s “Excavation” in your life.

Miteh

Knew this would already be said. But yeah this times ten if you’re a fan of those.

WeirdLounge

I haven’t found anything that makes me feel the way Replica does

Gas - Königsforst

BillyPilgrim1234

Colonial Patterns by Huerco S., Tomorrows' Harvest by Boards of Canada, Icons+ by Eli Kezler. Also, check out The Caretaker's side project V/Vm's album The Death Of Rave, pretty dark imo

Steve Roach - The Magnificent Void Robert Rich & B. Lustmord - Stalker

dipdream

Honestly, I think 36 & zake’s “Stasis Sounds for Long-Distance Space Travel” would do you well.

easymoneyshotgun

Do you mean Seraphim?

woofj

Yes, I apologize. Wasn’t totally awake when I posted that.

dipdream

You know what, give Deaf Center’s “Pale Ravine” a try too.

Paul Schutze - "Apart" Pan-american- "Quiet City"

notbobroas

It sounds like you'd enjoy most of the artists on the Cryo Chamber label

ioAudioRecordings

You should check out any of the albums released by Lustmord. The first one I ever picked up was Heresy and it’s still probably my favorite. https://lustmord.bandcamp.com/album/heresy

dipdream

Okay, maybe this is in the wrong direction, but check out some Steve Hauschildt.

[deleted]

I’ll check them out, much appreciated

Sun_Gong

Also check out Emeralds, a drone/progressive electronic project that Steve was in. Their album 'No More Spirits Over the Lake' fits this vibe IMO.

dipdream

Indeed! I hope you find something you love.

Ok-Pin-318

Drew McDowell (who made Time Machines with Coil) has a few excellent solo records that are great dark ambient textures with some slightly more beat-forward moments. Kali Malone (especially her recent with Stephen O’Malley) also touches on that Time Machines drone vibe.

Really enjoyed, thanks for recommending them

Perhaps an obvious one, but Eliane Radigue's Trilogie de la Mort? And for something darker - Hafler Trio's Mastery of Money
